Very satisfied with SDLC staff. I feel they took the time to get to know my daughter’s academic needs and goals. She’s been attending for over 9 months and I see a huge improvement on her grades. I highly recommend the center and couldn’t be happier with the results so far!

San Diego Learning Center is awesome! My daughter Clarissa (senior) started getting help here at the beginning of her 7^th grade year. She was struggling in math and needed some extra help. Math has definitely never been her strongest subject, but through the work done here, she has continually improved — both in understanding concepts and improved study habits. The SAT prep is invaluable and has been key to my daughter achieving and exceeding college entrance requirements. The staff is genuinely concerned with student improvement and the atmosphere is safe, clean and inviting.

My daughter has been attending SDLC since the 2^nd grade. She was struggling with reading comprehension. She is in 4^th grade now, and has made such progress! Her reading level is now where it should be. She also started having a difficult time with Common Core math last year, so we started her in the Math program as well. It has helped her tremendously. The tutors are very helpful and patient. Miriam is such an awesome influence, and genuinely cares for the children that come in. San Diego Learning Center has saved my daughter’s educational life, and my life as well. As a parent of a child that is struggling academically, it can be very frustrating on the parents’ lives also, as I did not know how to approach tutoring or helping her. The tutors and staff have boosted her self-​esteem and confidence also. She loves going there! Thank you SDLC!!! We are forever grateful for all of your help!

What a lifesaver! Having a high school daughter that has an extremely busy athletic schedule, she needs extra TLC with a few subjects that she struggles in. I called San Diego Learning Center and was able to get her into a Chem and Math session just before finals. Even though it was only a few hours, she was able to walk into her classroom much more prepared and MUCH more confident. I wish I had called months earlier! This semester we will be much more proactive instead of reactive so that she can benefit from these amazing tutors. I highly recommend San Diego Learning Center for anyone child struggling in any subject. No need to suffer in silence — the help they need is right here.

I have a son in 4^th grade who was struggling with reading. I had him tested and enrolled in a reading program at SDLC. He has been attending SDLC now for 9 months and we have seen exceptional progress. His teachers have told us the tutoring has made a big difference as his reading level is now where it should be. Plus, he only continues to improve because he now enjoys reading. SDLC not only helped improve my son’s academic progress but also boosted his confidence and gave him the avenue to see reading in a different light. The staff is great, caring, knowledgeable and always go the extra mile. SDLC has definitely set the standard and I recommend them highly! They are the best! Thank you SDLC!

When my son’s teacher told us he was below grade level in 1^st grade, we tried to invest more time with him daily by helping him with his homework and reading. We even enrolled him in a summer reading program that did not help him at all. We heard great things about SDLC and enrolled him in 3 hours of tutoring per week with 2 hours of reading and 1 hour of math. Within a year, his reading levels improved and so did his math! He is now in 4^th grade and continues to be at grade level. I have kept him enrolled for the supplemental education and have enrolled my younger son, who is in kindergarten, to help supplement his learning in school. When I pick them up from the center, they always say how fun it was and what they learned. I also have signed up my eldest, who was in high school at the time, for their SAT prep for his SATs. He took the exam and was accepted into many of his choices for colleges! SDLC is an amazing and valuable program for kids by giving that extra support kids need to be successful in their learning that can’t be provided in a large classroom setting.

San Diego Learning Center has made such a huge difference in my daughter’s life! She was struggling in 7^th grade math at a local middle school and after attending the center for only a few months she now has a B-​! Not only did the staff at the center help her academically they also helped to boost her confidence and change her mindset about school. I appreciate the educational plans that they develop based on each child’s specific needs.

Our daughter has been going to the San Diego Learning Center for nearly 5 years and the experience has been incredibly beneficial to her academic progress. The value add has been even more impactful during her high school years, as the staff at the Center have given her confidence and belief that she can do better — even in subjects that she has struggled at (math). Her grades have certainly improved as a result of time spent at the Center, but more importantly, her retention of the subject matter has increased dramatically. We have her in the SAT program now as well, and can already see her confidence growing in anticipation of taking that critical test as well. The highest compliment is the fact that our daughter actually requests to go to extra tutoring — not too many kids with busy schedules are too excited to do extra study time, but even she sees the benefit and results. The staff are engaged, caring, supportive and exert the right amount of «push» to get desired results. Simply put, if you want to make a impact on your child’s academic achievement, give the San Diego Learning Center a try.

My son is being tutored in reading and writing at the San Diego Learning Center and his teachers have been very impressed with his progress. He ended last year below grade level in writing and just barely at grade level in reading. After 8 months at SDLC, he is testing above grade level in both subjects. In addition, he is a dual immersion student and has made amazing progress in Spanish reading and writing, despite the fact that he is only being tutored in English. It truly is amazing to see.
The cost is definitely not cheap and is certainly a sacrifice for our family. But after seeing his progress I cannot imagine a more worthwhile use of our money.

Excellent. They tailor to the child’s needs and address his or her particular roadblocks. They are very flexible while keeping track of a student’s short and long term progress. They are very responsive and very knowledgeable about the common core requirements and how the different school are responding to them. They communicate with the student’s teachers and where ever possible, work with them to help the student improve. There are scheduled meetings with parents to ensure that the Center’s approach is in line with what the parents expects and the student needs.

We love the San Diego Learning Center! My daughter has benefitted so much by attending tutoring at this location. Not only was she well prepped for the HSPT test for her entry to the Academy of Our Lady of Peace but it gave her the confidence she needed for this difficult test. She really enjoyed Mr. Steve. He was patient and explained in detail any question she had.
Now that she has been accepted at OLP, we will continue to take our daughter to SDLC to make sure she stays on course. I love the fact that our daughter never complains when she has to go to the learning center, she actually looks forward to it! They make learning fun and that is priceless. I highly recommend SDLC to any parent that wants their child to excel in their academics.

So my daughters are students here. One for homework center and the other was falling behind thanks to her fabulous 3^rd grade teacher who didn’t teach her jack all year long. I met with Jesseca figured out a plan… she met with my childs teacher to figure out the problem. And I must say the program works! She got back on track in no time. She loved her tutors and enjoyed going to the learning center. For my other daughter they really helped her out with her ridiculously difficult 7^th grade homework! My girls have been coming here for 2 years and I am very thankful to San Diego learning center. I have never had any problems with the staff and I am very happy with all the progress my girls have made at the center!
