Had a very nice experience with Francis. I got the acne treatment facial and she made it as least painful as possible and my face feels and looks so much better now ! It was very relaxing spot and her hands amazingly soft and she even gives a small massage on the neck shoulders and arms. I’m definitely going back!

I had an exceptional experience with Skin by Frances. She is an extraordinary Esthetician, who understands her craft very well. She has years of experience, and provides helpful tools and information about skin care. I was a little apprehensive at first, because my skin is very sensitive, and I have acne prone skin. I’ve seen several Dermatologists and Estheticians over the past 15 years, and my treatments have been unsuccessful and costly. One Facial with Frances has proven exceptional results. My face was so soft and hydrated that I could not stop touching it. If you are looking for the best skin care treatments in San Diego or you want a healthy complexion, I highly recommend Skin by Frances. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. Gorgeous skin is possible!

I’m no stranger to facials. I’ve had my plenty of fair share of them. By far, Frances is my favorite. I’m a repeat customer now, since I received my first treatment about 6 months ago. It all started when I found this little gem of a woman through Groupon. I had been wanting a back polish for a while and found a Groupon for one at SKIN by Frances. She did such an awesome job, I just had to see what she could do on my face. I came back for a cinnamon peel and what do you know? It was heavenly. She uses some essential oils (which I love, especially her lavender and geranium hot towels). I just came back for yet another cinnamon peel facial since the last one did such a great job reducing my fading acne scars (which I’m also treating at home). She plays old school music (1930s) while you’re getting pampered. She’s great. I’ll be back again! :)
P. S. She’s the supreme being when it comes to extractions, too!

My biggest pet peeve is when I purchase a groupon deal thinking that I got a great deal for a facial and then I make an appointment and get treated like a second class citizen because I’m not paying the full prize.
The whole idea behind groupon is to draw customers in for a discounted prize and give them a stellar service so they will come back again.
But in this case, I have attempted to call Skin by Frances three times, left a voicemail about the groupon deal I got to make an appointment but until now, no one answers the phone or give me any return calls. I even messaged the Facebook page of this business, but no luck in getting any response.
Such a shame because I see all these great reviews and if she gave me a great service, I would probably come back and support a local business in Chula Vista!

One word to describe my experience: UHHMAZING!
I’ve seen Frances on Unilocal before but I never got the chance to try out her services. Now I have thanks to groupon. I got the back polish. I used to have pretty bad back acne and now I’m suffering with scars!
The treatment was very relaxing. She did some high frequency treament on my back to reduce scarring I believe. I got a little bit of massage too which was nice.
Her place is actually located inside Rico’s on third. Also bring some coins for parking! I love the vintage feel of her room. Super super cute!
She was very informative and helpful on how I should take care of my skin and also recommended some products.
Time to save some money and get a facial from her: D

I came across SKIN by Frances on Groupon and SO GLAD I did! Frances is amazing. She’s professional, knowledgeable, and she genuinely cares about providing you the best treatment for your skin — there’s no «one facial fits all» with her! I love that she explains every part of the process, what its benefits are, and give recommendations of how to treat at home.
I HIGHLY recommend her and I will definitely be returning.

I’ve had problem skin since I was 13, have spent thousands at the dermatologist, but I’m finally starting to feel food about my skin for the first time thanks to Frances. I’ve been through the ringer — Retin-​A, Accutane, you name it – and for the longest time had the scars to show for it. I’ve been going to Frances for almost a year now, and feel so much better. She educated me on how to care for my skin, and it’s finally calming down. So much so that at my last dermatologist visit, I asked the doctor if there was anything else I should be doing and he said NO… just keep doing the peels I’d been doing! For a doctor to say he’s seen a difference… and NOT try to sell me something himself… is all the proof I need. I’ve been alternating the doll face facial and cinnamon peel every month because that’s what works for me. Do yourself a favor and hand your skin over to Frances if you can!

I visited Frances yesterday for my first facial in over a year — a stressful summer left me with some unwanted acne and skin congestion.
Frances provides such a lovely ambiance — I loved her 1940s music! Her products smell wonderful and the facial left me feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and relaxed.
Looking forward to going back to try a cinnamon peel! Highly recommended.
