It’s great if you’re looking for cheap and fast Thai food. I’ll go here if I want reasonably priced Thai food that isn’t too far from home, but if I’m craving something delicious that will satisfy my taste buds, this place won’t cut it. Their pad see ew was kind of salty, and tasted more like cooking oil and salt than anything else. Also had garlic basil chicken, and that was kinda meh. Spring rolls didn’t have much flavor either. Like I said, if I want something cheap and convenient, I’ll go here, but the flavor and quality of their dishes don’t deserve any more than 3 stars. Go have some red or yellow curry at Bangkok Spices Thai, and you’ll see the difference between great Thai food, and just ok Thai food.

OMG — SO the bomb. Their wok dishes RULE. Spring rolls are amazing. We have been coming back 3−4/wk and can’t get enough. Do NOT think this place is MEH based on how small it is. They can put out some AWESOME dishes with the hot plate they have!!!

I called in a pretty large order for pick-up(tom kah soup, pad thai noodles, drunken noodles, thai fried rice, and sticky rice with mango). I was so surprised by the small space that these ladies are working in, literally the size of a small kitchen, it was so impressive. It truly is «FRESH», I saw them put all the ingredients in all the food they made, I felt like I was in their home. They worked swiftly and the food was delicious! Can’t wait to go back!

It was my first time in San Diego and I was craving for some good Thai food, so I hopped on Unilocal and searched for a Thai place in Chula Vista. Thai Fresh seemed like a hole in the wall restaurant and it had 4 ½ stars so I was like what the hell let’s give it a try. OMG!!! First off the service was great, very friendly employees. Second, the food was delicious. We ordered thai fried rice, pad thai and panang curry(best curry I ever had! Taste so good when you drown your rice in the sauce!) I would definitely recommend this place if your in the area!!!

This place was pretty darn good! The level of spicy is pretty accurate. Only thing is it is pretty expensive for not being an sit down restaurant and for that I give it 4 stars.

Great spot to grab some delicious Thai to go. The workers here are always friendly and everything is made to order. I usually start with their chicken fresh rolls or their Tom Yum or Tom Khar soups which are great. My favorite dinner plate is the Chasew Nut Chicken which comes with white rice. It comes in a very well sized serving and is delicious.

Was going to a cheap movie and had some time and get a bite to eat. I saw that this little Thai place had great reviews, so I wanted to give it a shot. When I got to this place it was small, I realized it was a to go spot but still had some seating outside in some spots(thankfully there was no one there). I asked what was good and the lady behind the cash register stared«Everything!». So I ordered the Pad Thai a small Wanton Soup and an apple juice. It came out to be around $ 16 but it was delicious. If I’m in the area again and am in the mood for some Thai, this is the place I would stop at! The service was great and the food was just as equal!

Family run hole in the wall which reminds us of he little Pad Thai carts in Thailand. Friendly ladies inside making cook to order fresh Thai food. 100% authentic with new specials all the time. Now they are offering pumpkin curry and BBQ Pork over rice. I love the Chicken Larb at spice level # 9. So much heat, it will clear up your cold. It’s flavorful and it would be great in lettuce cups to cool down the heat. Larb over rice is the perfect lunch. The 2 table patio seating outside is just enough for this quaint business. It’s our quick go to place after Costco when we don’t want to get the cheap pizza there.

I ordered the shrimp and salmon rolls, which were pretty good. Each order comes with 2 rolls and they look to be the size of an average burrito. I haven’t tried rolls anywhere else, but this spot definitely has opened up my mind to try more Thai food. They make the food fresh, so be prepared to wait 20 minutes. I saw that many people were ordering over the phone, so next time I will be more prepared.

At first glance of the exterior, it would appear that this place is small enough to house a dine in experience, but as soon as you walk in, it’s barely half a kitchen! Family owned and run by the mother and daughter, these two know how to make a big impact with such a small area to cook in. There’s barely enough room inside to have a mini table! My wife and I ordered the Papaya salad, Beef Red Curry and Chicken Panang Curry. Everything tasted excellent! This is definitely a place that serves quality food over quantity. As far as price, it’s a tad on the higher side, but you’re paying for quality here. Don’t forget to try their flavored iced tea’s! They too are an excellent add on!

Very small place, just enough room for the«kitchen». Seating is outside next to the cars in the parking lot. Think there are two round metal patio tables, no umbrellas. Basically, don’t eat here. It’s more of a takeout place. I think the price is high for the portion size. The food comes in the typical foam clam-shell box but the boxes are only half size, similar to a hot dog box. Other Thai places use full size square boxes. Then they line the box with foil, making microwave reheating impossible and the foil takes up more room. The price is about $ 8 – 9 for most dishes. The small size and $ 8 price isn’t a value. The lids for the curry containers are taped on and can potentially pop off. There are better containers for liquids. So minus 1 star for the portion size vs price, the lack of seating and the curry containers. The food is awesome. About the only thing they need to do is make the fresh rolls fresh. Instead they pre-package the rolls. The rice wrapper can dry out and be alittle tough. The curry and noodle dishes are fresh and fantastic. Great blend of spices and the amount of heat has always been spot on. We will continue to go here.

This place is great place to eat it seems over looked We gave it a shot and fell in love with the fresh rolls. perfect combo of ingredients and very fresh. I had the chicken and my sister had the shrimp and we shared pad Thai with chicken it was delicious. Overall it was a good experience. I wish these people the best of luck with there establishment I hope it gets bigger with inside seating that would be nice. But the food is wonderful. Will most definitely be coming back.

I really want to like this place. I really do. I like seeing local businesses thrive and the family that runs this are so cute. It’s affordable and next to my home away from home, Costco. But in the end the food is just okay. Spring rolls: huge but kind of bland. I found myself drowning them in both the peanut sauce and red chili sauce. I don’t do that at other Thai places I frequent. Pad see ew: Noodles were definitely fresh because I saw the lady making them right there! However portion size was a bit small even if it was low priced. Had it with tofu and there were a decent amount of pieces. Would have liked a little more broccoli. Solid but not remarkable. Sweet basil and eggplant: not sure what kind of eggplant they used because it was cut so small. At first I thought they were sliced mushrooms. Way too many sliced onions. Again nothing that made me scream«Wizard!» Does anyone else say that still? I’ll say 3.5 stars because they really are sweet people

Thai Fresh is hidden«mom and grandma» type joint in Bonita Vista area. Although the place is small the food packs a lot of flavor and selection of curry, rice and noodle dishes diverse. The prices are average and range $ 7-$ 12 on and the portions are good for 2 meals. Whether you go for pad thai or specialty rice dishes you will not be disappointed. All food is «freshly» made on order. I had smoke salmon spring rolls. I highly recommend this vs. traditional shrimp spring roll. The smoked salmon lox coupled with peanut sauce and freshness of the vegetables are a great bite. Crab fried rice is not made with imitation crab either. If your a fried rice lover, like me, you can’t go wrong. I always like to judge Asian cuisines on fried rice options and I think the crab fried rice here is a winner. Pad see ew dish and pad thai dish was good, you can tell was cooked as if it were to come from the comfort of your own kitchen. Mango sticky rice is always a fan favorite and to finish off a meal, there’s always room for dessert. Definitely sweet and tasty. Thai fresh is something worth stopping for after going to Costco, 24 hour fitness, or if your looking for Thai but don’t wanna travel far and your from the area. They definitely get 5 star for service and food quality.

This place is literally the definition of hole in the wall restaurant. So much so, that there is no seating inside and the seating outside fits about 4 – 5 people and I wouldn’t go as far to say that it’s comfortable seating. I guess I should give 4– stars instead of 5 for that reason, but I went with the expectation of not being able to sit down and eat there. Luckily, I live close enough that ordering for take out wasn’t a problem. They’re not cooking on traditional stovetops, maybe there was one, I didn’t have much time to look, but I saw about 3 – 4 portable stoves/hot plates. That’s dedication to open a business and service people with some good food. Although that may not appeal to some, it appeals to me because I know that every dish is ordered fresh. Hence the name, Thai FRESH. The lady was telling me that people wait in line for 30 – 45 minutes during really busy times. Totally understandable because they don’t have a huge surface area to cook multiple dishes at the same time. Ordered yellow curry with tofu and pad see ew with tofu as well. I ordered the yellow curry a level 3(their spiciness goes rom level 1 to 10) and it was perfect! Just the level of spicy that I love it. The pad see ew isn’t spicy, but if you do want spicy, get the drunken noodles, always super yummy. The only thing I didn’t care too much for, was that the yellow curry was more soupy than thick. I LOVE thick curry, but that’s just a personal preference for me. You might think that a more soupy/watery texture might make the dish taste different or be not as flavorful, but that definitely wasn’t the case. The yellow curry was just as flavorful as always. What I loved about it was that the onions in the curry were so soft and sweet. I HATE crunchy, large cut pieces of onion in my curry. These were all thinly cut and were delicious! It’s definitely become one of my favorite places. It’s close to my house and it’s cheaper than the yellow curry you might get at a sit down restaurant. Both my dishes were $ 7.00 because I ordered them with tofu(vegetables are the same price). Chicken, duck, and pork were both $ 8.00, and shrimp was $ 9.00. The pad see ew was delicious!!! I love pad see ew, but theirs had this wonderful, but subtle, flavor. I absolutely enjoyed it and I will come back for these things alone. Sure, I wish they had inside seating, but I already knew they didn’t have the seating so I called before I headed over there. Definitely call to place your order because if they are busy when you show up, you may be waiting awhile. They had some new items added to their menu, I wish I had taken some pictures. One that caught my eye was their new pineapple fried rice. Who doesn’t love pineapple fried rice?! That’s definitely one of my favorite dishes when it comes to Thai food. If I had known they had pineapple fried rice, I would have ordered that too. I think the price for the pineapple fried rice was $ 11.00, definitely on the pricier side of the dishes they offer. The other was a mango curry, YUMMY. Sounds weird if you’ve never had it, but I once had mango curry with shrimp and it was the perfect amount of sweet. It was so delicious. I don’t remember the price for that dish. Can’t wait to come back and try new things. Next time it’ll be the pineapple fried rice, the pad thai, mango curry, and some drunk noodles!

This place is literally a nice whole on the wall because there is not seating inside, except for about three tables outside. I stopped in for lunch and ordered the Pad Kee Mao flat noodles with chicken and a very mellow spice level and some Thai chicken soup. The Pad Kee Mao was great and arrived at my outside table piping hot. When I opened the gentle foil around it, all the steam and aroma came rushing out right, and smack in my face( ). The flat noodles had that great chewiness and great flavor of course( ). The chicken was very well seasoned, tender, and juicy( ). The spice level was just right for me, very mild, and I appreciated the generous amount of egg in the dish. The Thai chicken soup was bliss, and not only did it come was plenty of chicken and vegetables, but it had a great savory and sour flavor with an ever so slight sweetness( ). Also, to my surprise, it also came with some amazing whole tender and earthy mushrooms( ). A great soup, and the generous portion was their small size. The ladies running the place were very nice and all smiles. If you use an ATM card, make sure you spend at least $ 10, or they will charge a fee, so if not, bring cash.
