I took Tony to small claims court and won $ 10,130. The only thing is, I probably have a better chance of winning the lottery than collecting on any money. For all those that think he is legit, you can check the California State Licesnse Board an see his license is revoked and will not be renewed until all disputes have been paid to include mine. So, if he says he has a license then it is a complete lie. Still a complete fraud. You risk of losing any warranty, being sued since he has no insurance or bond, and losing money if he is caught doing work illegally (unlicensed) which is a felony. GOOD LUCK

The owner of this operation is Tony Stevens (Robert Anthony Stevens). He is very personable and pleasant when you meet him, but don’t be fooled… The quality of their work is appalling, and all the guarantees that Tony gives you regarding their work are just sales words … These guys will take your money, do a terrible job and that is the last you will see of them. They did not show up and start the work when they were supposed to (even though I had paid them a deposit to specifically lock in the schedule). They did not complete the job in the time they said it would take to get done — it took me repeated phone calls, texts and emails to get a response as to when they were coming back to complete the job. On the day that they did come back to complete the job, I had to leave the site before the job was complete. Tony called me later that same day asking for the final payment as he said they were done. I told him that I wanted to at least see the completed work before giving him the final payment, and that I would only be able to do that the following day. He then literally begged me to give him the money (said he would drive to wherever I was in the county to get it) and promised me that his work was guaranteed 100% and that if I was not satisfied in any way that he would fix the problem immediately. I felt sorry for the guy and made the mistake of giving him the money … The next day I went to look at the job and it was a disaster to say the least. It then took me 7 weeks of phone calls, texts and emails to get him to come back. He agreed that the work was not acceptable and set out to correct the problems, but in fact ended up making it even worse … I have tried to reach Tony again but my calls, texts and emails have gone unanswered. I ended up having to pay another contractor to come in and fix the mess that Tony created and it cost me twice as much money to complete the project.
Subsequent to all this I went and did some research on this guy which is when I discovered that he operates under the banner of 3 different companies (Stevens Construction Company, The Shower Pan Company and The Concrete Company). There are plenty of negative reviews out there on Unilocal and other sites that tell a similar story. He has been sued previously in small claims court and was instructed to repay money to homeowners which he has never done. Check out his contractors license online at the California State Licensing board (
) and you see that his license has been REVOKED as a result of all the disputes that have been filed against him. So if he tells you that he has a license that is a lie. Furthermore he has no bond or insurance so YOU risk being sued if something goes wrong on the job.
