The worst outfit I have every hired. First off, when our belongings were delivered, the driver, Gery Johnson, refused to remove the wrapping on the furniture so we spent days doing it ourselves. Also, when we checked off the boxes from the inventory sheet, there was so many that were missing and a lot of damage to our valuables. To try to account for the missing boxes, Gery was deceitful by grabbing inventory labels from his truck to account for the missing boxes. We caught him in the act and confronted him. To this day, we have at least 9 missing boxes and loose items and many broken items such as lladro’s, antiques, lamp, china, etc. Although I told them to be careful with my mattress since it was expensive, they tore it anyway. I have no doubt that the missing boxes and items were stolen. The owner, Romeo, did not even have enough common courtesy to call up and apologize. Do yourself and favor and do not use them. They do not deserve to be in business! I will file a complaint with every applicable agency. As for Lisa, the office person, once the contract was signed, and they received our payment, there was no assistance from her whatsoever.

Cannot believe the service or lack thereof… Parts to piano were eventually located in tape spools in a box marked«garage» Parts to chests were located in tea towel in a box marked«kitchen» Wooden parts to chest were in a box marked«wood pieces» Office staff NEVER returned calls… only emailed… Organization was TOTALLY lacking…

Office staff easy to work with — even on short notice. Very few broken items and we were reimbursed quickly and without hassle. would use them again.

We had a split responsibility move as Mayflower,(The Moving Company) in Chula Vista, CA packed out our move to Austin, Texas and United Van Lines,(Sullivan Van Lines) did the actual load out, as well as the hauling to our destination, all over the 4th of July holiday weekend and then unloaded at our destination, five days after the load out. If you had asked me before hand, I would have said this was a plan for disaster. Quite the opposite happened. The packing went extremely well, the load out happened on schedule, the drive to Texas was flawless and the unloading happened on time and on schedule. The proof of the pudding was that the only damage was to an umbrella stand out of over 400 items and boxes in the move. Of course, our move being in the peak of the moving season, the cost was much higher than it would have been in the Spring, but this was our choice to make. We took in four bids and The Moving Company was significantly lower in pricing than the other three firms. Otherwise, it was a Five Star move and the best stateside move that we have ever had. DCC
