Tonys Auto Center towed a vehicle the my repair shop on Sunday 11−15−15 and the driver was informed by the Triple A customer that it was a difficult driveway to enter and to be careful.
The tow truck driver broke a 5 foot section of thick steel bolted to the concrete out of the middle of my 20 foot front gate runner and damaged the chrome exhaust tip on my customers car.
Then the driver started getting sensitive and puffing his chest up in a violent manner towards me. He said he didn’t like my tone, it’s noteworthy to let you know this all started when i got my video camera out. He further stated I better watch out!
I called Angie at there office and she said no one could help me today. The driver asked what time I open on Monday and I informed him 8:30 a.m. He said someone would be here when I open to fix the problem. It’s now 4 hours later, 12:30 p.m. and no one has showed up and no phone call either.
The Facts so far are damage to my property, very poor customer service and damage to my customers car. Finally Tonys Auto Center is 4 hours late on there employees commitment to me. In closing I would not trust this company to do anything for me based on there actions and behavior.

After they charged me 308 dollars to pick up my car, everyone turned out to be disrespectful. They acted like they were the only mechanics and tow company in San Diego. From the owners to the towers everyone walked around thinking the were the ish. Wont ever come back here again.

Woke up and my car won’t turn over. Ugh right? I called AAA and asked them to send a tow truck so I could have my car brought to the dealership. AAA tells me the truck should be there in 45 minutes. No problem… gives me time to shower and get dressed.
Tow truck was there in TEN MINUTES. Mike, the driver, couldn’t have been MORE polite, courteous and friendly. Checked out my car, got it on the flatbed and away we went to the dealership.
Rates were decent and I could not be happier with the service that I go this morning.
THANK YOU. Next time I need a tow, I’ll be calling AAA and requesting your company. Top notch all the way.

All moody after my car breaking down… Waited only 15 mins for Steven. He was very fast and efficient for a big guy. Good talk on the drive back home that I forgot about all my problems. After having issues with a tow company whom had left my parking brake on while they towed it, the tow company had offered to repair my damaged brakes at Tony’s Auto Center. I had never previously had been there and I did not know what to expect. I read the ratings on Unilocal prior to proceeding to having it repaired there at the expense of the tow company. It made me uncomfortable to deal with a company, which I have never had any business with. I did feel more comfortable after I read the reviews, which I understand that just because other people may have a positive experience, it does not necessarily mean I will as well, but I hope for the best. I like to be optimistic and always hope for the best!
One of the largest issues I had with this place was dealing with Steve the Manager, who was a likable man, except for the fact he has lousy communication skills when it comes to updating me daily of what is taking so long for the repairs to get done. I would expect good communication with any business I do any business with. My pet peeve is to have to ask the business for a daily report of what is going on. My car was over there for well over one week. If I did not contact him, Steve the Manager would not contact me. A good company should tell you if there is a hold up or a issue and keep a customer in the loop. I would not recommend this company, based on the lack of communication. It got worst when I stated to Steve the Manager how the tow company was not to have the vehicle delivered, he did not tell the tow truck driver this vital information of what not to do when delivering/​towing it to it’s destination. Due to the extremely lousy lack of communication which Steve the Manager of the automotive shop has, he had caused me numerous problems, with the complex where I live and my spouse.
As far as the automotive repair work, the brakes could have been adjusted a lot better than they did it. For repair work it is so, so. Besides my spouse and father being automotive mechanics and myself being a helicopter mechanic, we know what we are talking about when it come to mechanical work.
I wish I could have gave a better review, but I tell it as it is!

Traveled down from the Bay Area to Chula Vista to visit family. After a long day of sight seeing and on the way back to the family’s abode I picked up a huge nail in my tire. Urgh! Placed a call to AAA and expected the usual hour wait for the tire guy to show up. To my surprise, I received a call back within 5 mins and Mario was on site 10 mins later!
Mario was friendly and very courtious. He changed my tire within 10 mins and wrapped the damaged tire in a plastic bag to protect the interior of the car.
I would highly recommend Mario from Tony’s Auto Center.

Owning an older car, sometimes require a little extra TLC. This was the case, today. I was in need of a tow and called three area (tow companies). After two unsuccessful attempts, I found Tony’s Towing. I knew I didn’t have to call anyone else. The dispatcher was kind, helpful, and provided a reasonable quote. I gave her a description of my vehicle, year/​make and where I need it to be towed. They offered $ 40 to hookup plus $ 5 per mile (which was reasonable) since I only needed towed 6 miles to my mechanic/​garage. She gave me a 30 minute window on when to expect the truck but they arrived in 15 minutes. They accepted credit card payment (a plus since I don’t like to carry cash). The driver had an assistant load my vehicle into the truck and off they went.
What was comforting, although they didn’t have to, they offered to bring the vehicle to the garage without me leaving the comforts of my own home, since I provided a destination address. I chose to follow. I just wanted the peace of mind knowing my vehicle arrived without a doubt.
Again, they were great on accepting my call, timely during a pick up, and completed the delivery. All you can ask for in a tow service.
On this particular instance, they provided superior service and plan in using them again. With that said, if you live in East Chula Vista and need your vehicle towed, I strongly recommend them for your towing needs.
Side note: if you are AAA member, you get your tow for free. If not, update your auto policy to cover potential towing costs. Your insurance should be able to cover, if not the entire fee, the partial costs of the towing charge.
Lastly, don’t forget to tip your driver. He’s doing you a favor, not the other way around ($ 10, in my case).

I know a lot of mechanics and my car needed repair that they couldn’t do. Tricky Clutch on a Saturn! Priced out at my go-​to guys for this work. The Owner Steve (who is a truly fabulous person); came in WAY Less and the shop did Grade A Work not only on the Tricky Clutch; but they also fixed a problem that no one else could figure out no matter where I took it for the last 5 years!!! Not only did they do me a solid on the $; give me Grade A Professional work on the vehicle; he didn’t charge me anything other than the part for the fix! I was there about 4 times in and out and every single time the Owner and workers where kind and courteous to me; and I am a female LOL. I would recommend this for any work because the service, and there credibility is beyond par.

Day 1:
Great service, both times they were sent out by AAA. My car stopped running, I called AAA, and they sent a very nice gentleman from Tony’s to check out what the problem was. He went above and beyond by testing my car and he figured out that I needed a new alternator and called a second truck because he didn’t think it would be safe for me to drive the 3 miles home. I should note that they should have sent a towing truck out in the first place because this prolonged my wait time but I won’t knock a star because overall, they’ve been great. The second guy that came out was also nice and just provided basic service.
Day 2:
I called AAA again today to have my car towed from my home to the mechanic. I believe the person that came out was Milat, who was very professional, nice, and was pleasant to interact with. He even showed up before the time I expected him too.
I called AAA and asked for the towing company from a fews day’s ago and it turns out that it was also Tony’s, so I asked if I could leave a good review for them in their database.
Thank you all for your friendly, courteous, and timely service! Particularly to the gentleman who took out the computer and figured out that my problem was more than just a dead battery.

I was in a fender bender yesterday after work. Called AAA because my front end was mushed and didn’t want to attempt to drive my car. AAA sent Tony’s Towing and they were there within 15 minutes. Fast and Friendly. They towed my car to their lot and even called me this morning to check where I wanted it towed to for repair so that it would not sit in the lot over the weekend.
I will be requesting them the next time!

This is a review regarding their towing service. Last night my father’s vehicle broke down and we called triple a and they sent Tony ’ s auto service to help us. They said it would be 30 min before they would arrive but Milat, the driver showed up in less than 15min! He was extremely professional, polite and efficient. It was so nice to have someone take care of our car and provide such great customer service in such a pleasant manner. It really put a positive spin on our experience.
Milat was very easy to work with and is an asset to the company!

Definitely giving this place 5 stars! I locked my keys in my car and they were super quick and efficient in their work! I was on my way in less than 15 mins! I forgot which guy opened my door for me, but he was just a total sweetheart! Definite recommend!

You do everything to maintain your car and keep it in the best running condition as you can. We all make sure our vehicles are road worthy and not pose a peril to other motorists, but sometimes LIFE happens and your car just stops! In my case I was on surface streets, not on freeway. Well, that was what happened to me and my car.
A very nice policeman got behind my stalled car and with hazard lights on directed traffic (I know, right?! I actually had a very nice policeman following behind me when my car stopped! Halleluyah!!). The officer called Tony’s Auto Center (Triple A affiliated) and within 10 minutes he was there. Officer said, Tony’s is very good. can’t get a better recommendation than that.
Oscar, the driver was very, very nice. The gentleman who took my call later to verify membership and all that, Gil, was also very nice, polite, detailed and helpful. Oscar was a careful driver, he loaded my car into his HINO towing truck and with caution he made the turns at the right speed, got me home safely.
I mean, the service was excellent!
And when it was time to take my car to the dealership, of course I called Tony’s Auto Center towing again to do the job. After such great service would I even dare try another? No way! Tony Auto Center it is!
There was a followup phone call to check on driver’s service (ala survey) of the initial and final towing; and then a phone call to confirm the pick up for delivery to the dealer. They thought of everything. Very cool.
Service of this kind put other towing companies to shame. Different level altogether.
Mike, came to pick up the car on time (time is money, as the saying goes) to be delivered to the dealership in time for service dept opening hours. He was efficient and extremely careful about how he handled my car and good driver.
Triple A (AAA) employs and utilizes a very company in Tony’s Auto Center. For that alone, it is worth the annual membership.
If you need a tow or any roadside assistance AT ALL, Tony’s Auto Center is the only name you need to know and call.
I am one not easy to please when it comes to service but with this service company know their stuff.

Side note: …if you ever see a driver texting, tow truck or any vehicle, call the hotline and report the driver, note his license number, location (they will thank you for it) and you can report texter (violators of the law), they are no different than drunk drivers (texting while driving can kill).

Wow all i have to say is this is one of the BEST AAA TOWING COMPANIES I EVER DELT WITH. My car broke down on the 805 South right before the H St exit during rush our. most tow companies wouldnt even really care and just take their time. but no not only were they with me and my car within 10 minutes they also called me to make sure i was in a safe location and to make sure i was ok. if you know chula vista you would know that the 805 s during rush hour is crazy! thank you so much for taking care of me and my car and the driver was awesome very professional and so helpful. i would recommend them to EVERYBODY!

Hit something in the road and next thing I knew, I had a completely flat tire. First «safe» place to pull over was in the driveway of Southwestern College. I called AAA and they sent Tony’s out. I waited less than 10 minutes and was back on the road in 20 minutes. The guy was very, very nice and polite. I would recommend them over and over!

I just want to let you know up front that Tony’s Auto Center was the contracted towing service I was fortunate to have the experience with after calling the Automobile Club of So California for towing assistance. As soon as I called AAA Roadside Assistance, they took my information and sent it off to Tony’s Auto Center. I received an immediate courtesy call from Tony’s Auto Center dispatch to advise me that a tow driver was on the way and gave me an estimated time of 30 minutes. Prior to the arrival time, I received a second call letting me know that the tow driver should be pulling up if he hadn’t already. The tow driver (Arthur) arrived PRIOR to the time I was quoted which I was very thankful for. Well, my car didn’t start but the battery wasn’t dead. Arthur figured it was the starter but wanted to ensure my vehicle could be driven to the dealer w/​out requiring the tow after all. After a few attempts, he was able to get my vehicle started and still suggested I took the vehicle to a mechanic to get the problem diagnosed and repaired. Arthur’s truck and his appearance was very tidy and clean and was very friendly and professional during his roadside assistance call. I want to also give kudos to the dispatch center for their courtesy calls made prior to Arthur’s arrival. If you need towing service in or around the Chula Vista area, I can definitely vouch for this upstanding business!
