Stopped in with a bump in my rear tire while riding South Bay. Henry got me right in, put my bike on the work stand and I was back out on the road after only a few minutes.

Great and clean store. They are very fast at helping you out and the mechanics are great specially Mike he always gets the bike where I needed to be at, or he will keep working on it until it is perfect.

We stopped in twice now and have had terrible service both times. Do yourself a favor and make a further drive for the right kind of service.

I bought a new 7.5 Trek hybrid, wsd road bike for my daughter. Customer service is excellent… thank you very much to RICKY GOMEZ. He thought us a lot about bikes and tips how to use the bike and all the rationale. Our experience in this store is GREAT. He is very professional and know his stuff to the max. He directed us to the right size and perfect fit for my daughter. My daughter is so picky and doesn’t want to move on to an adult bike because she likes the design of her bike and since she is only 13, it’s hard to get something for her taste. Because of Ricky’s patience, kindness, knowledge and the chance of trying the bikes, we got her a bike that she enjoy and biking becomes more FUN to her. She loves her new hot pink bike and won’t change it for anything and the ease and comfort truly makes her happy. After buying the bike, Ricky’s attitude didn’t change… he still help us to get the accessories we needed ad explain each item again. As a result, we will come back again this week to buy something and my daughter said she wanted to buy this in this store. We felt so welcome and happy to know TREK, Chula Vista at Lane Avenue. Just bought a new bike from here. The service was excellent, but their junior salesman was guessing a bit with some of the specs on the bike. I know my bikes a little bit so I was testing him. Fortunately, his manager stepped in and corrected and provided some great help and a great deal. I would just suggest better training on their products for junior salesman to make the experience uniformly good, I’m not sure I would have stayed if business hadn’t been slow enough for the manager to step in.

Came in to this store knowing nothing about high performance bikes. I wanted to get into this sport and wanted to see what size frame I should get on a Trek Road Bike. Ricky showed me several different bikes with a lot of info on each and every bike, but staying in my price range of $ 1,000 or less. I saw a bike that caught my eye so he quickly asked if I would be interested in test riding it to see if it would be the right fit for me. So I tried out a Trek 1.2 C in a 58 cm and a 60 cm frame… I liked the 58 cm but the 60 cm was a perfect fit for my height at 6ft. I wasn’t able to buy the bike at the time but I did get fitted by Edwin for a sweet pair of shoes on sale for the memorial day weekend. Got a perfect pair of Bontrager shoes and bought a Cannondale helmet for only $ 113!!! Awesome price and Excellent Service!!! I do plan on buying my first Trek road bike and this is definitely the place I will go!

I bought a demo mountain bike & a few days later I was not completely satisfied with some minor mechanical & cosmetic issues. The sales manager Marco was very accommodating and understanding. He wanted me to be completely satisfied with my purchase so he agreed to repair the demo bike or refund my money. I decided to get a refund and upgrade to a higher quality brand new bike. Marco gave me a great deal on a brand new bike that was only a few hundred more than the demo. Marco was more than willing to work with me & negotiate a great price. Trek is lucky to have Marco as part of their team. I would definitely do business here again & recommend Trek Chula Vista to family & friends.

I was impressed with the level of customer service at this location. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. I was greeted by Edwin, who helped me find the right replacement magnet for my Madone. After I replaced the magnet on my own, I couldn’t tell if it was in the correct position. I went inside and asked Edwin if he could help me. Edwin asked his mechanic Mike (?) To take a look at my bike. Mike was able to to get the magnet in the correct position for me. This was a nice surprise. I had limited time and I couldn’t have been happier with their quick service!

This store sucks. Walk in nobody acknowledged me when employees were not even busy with no one. So I just took off. Thanks I’ll take my money somewhere else.

I’ve been here in the past but only for accessories. This time around I was actually serious about upgrading from my aluminum bike and this has to be one of the best customer experiences I’ve ever had. All business aside, one of the workers, Edwin was very thorough pointing me in the right direction of what type of bike I should get based on my budget. I’ll admit I was a bit indecisive making multiple trips to the shop to browse throughout the week but once I did decide to buy a bike, he made sure I was taken cared of with the fitting and the accessories with it. I didn’t have a bike rack on my car to take the bike home and Edwin even offered to deliver it to my house once he was done closing up shop for the day. How awesome is that?!

I have been buying bikes and gear from these guys for over 3 years. Not a single time have I been disappointed with their service. They have undergone multiple management changes in this time period but always manage to take good care of me. I have also referred many of my friends and have become friends with some of the guys there.
Great place to buy and service your bike!

I’ve bought two bikes and a accessories here and the service has always been top notch! I bought my bike (it wasn’t cheap) but they worked the price down threw in a bunch of free swag and knocked off 20% off my new helmet. I take my bike in for free adjustments all the time and I’m taken care of… my most recent purchase was for my wife for mother’s day. Siobhan was my attendant and was awesome! she picked out the perfect bike matching helmet and the correct size shorts…
again discounting. g the price and the accessories… last amazing thing to mention is that if you applying for a trek card (I don’t have 2.5k to drop on a bike) you get 12 months interest free payments! If you’re in the market for a bike come here! they’re great!!!

Great Lbs. I am stoked that they brought back Daniel Orellana in the service dept. I’m super picky when it comes to who works on my bikes. Every mechanic at every single bike shop says they’re the best. I always like to make my own decisions based on my experiences while at the shop and after when I’m out for a ride and get to see what my bike really feels like and how well it shifts. This guy is by far the best overall bike mechanic I have personally encountered. On the sales side, I have personally bought a nice carbon road bike and a full suspension mountain bike from Marco Carreon and he is great. Very knowledgeable and ready to earn my business. Overall a great shop in the south bay. If you’re looking for a sweet new bike or a solid reputable mechanic to baby your existing bike, this is the place to go.

UnilocalERS … Go anywhere else for your bicycle needs. Their customer service is abhorrent. Their hold times waiting for their «service & repair department» are record breaking in length. The results are slipshod at best.
My 13 year old brought is BMX bike to TREK get a new brake handle put on. He was told he would have it in 3 days after the part came in that they had to order. 2 and ½ weeks later, 3 visits in person to the TREK store and 4 phone calls with the store later, one of the employees admitted that they had «dropped the ball and not ordered the part.»
I do not usually post NEGATIVE reviews (see my profile). In this case, I feel a sense of responsibility to my fellow man to warn them about the TREK store.
If I owned this business, I would be completely embarrassed and heads would roll.
Meanwhile my 13 year old has been without his transportation he relies on to get to school and back.

Great store, smart staff, huge selection. Military discount 10% this was a deal maker for me as a vet. I purchased POC safety gear got it in 1 week. It was not cheap but if you want low end you may not be serious about biking and safety gear.

I bought a bike from these guys at trek. I didn’t have any issues but I don’t like, high pressure sales types. When I was ready to talk about bikes-​so where they. They took the time to explain the different types of mountain bikes and tried to fit me to the best bike– not the most expensive. In fact they recommended last years model!

–oh and several months before I bought a new bike. The repaired my old bike for free! Adjusted the derailer and brakes at NO CHARGE.
If you’re cool they will be cool

There is one guy that’s cool. His name is Dan. The first guy that helped me was one of the most useless «I hate being here» types that was more worried about when he could ditch me and go back to doing absolutely nothing then answering more then a single question with a one word answer. He had to be told to come help me by presumably the manager. He not only didn’t want to be there but had an air about him that said «I’m too good to be helping a new guy». I ain’t buying a burger off the value menu dude. Last time I checked $ 2,000 was a ton of money. After being useless and about as talkative as a rock that was buried under 12ft of sand he pawned me off to Dan. That was actually a great thing because if it wasn’t for his service I would have just walked out at that point no better off or informed then when I walked in (new to road bikes).
Bottom line: If Dan isn’t there don’t even bother looking at the bikes.

Location
Since I was in the neighborhood I wanted to stop by and browse. This particular location is buried within a business park and is away from the hustle of bustle. I think that’s why the store is so quiet.
Experience
I wasn’t greeted when I walked in. All the employers that on the floor were huddled around a computer. I had to ask for help from one of a sales associate to find what I was looking for. I felt that I was being an inconvenience to them. It was so slow that they were able to install my tube and tire immediately. I like that immediate service.
I checked out the Madone and Cervello road bikes in another visit. The manager was informative and let me test ride both bikes to compare. I can’t recall the manger’s name but he wasn’t pushy and didn’t force me to purchase anything. He knew his stuff thats for sure.
Although I didn’t get the immediate service from the employees the store’s manager was very knowledgable about the product somewhat made up for it.
If you’re looking to buy a Trek bicycle I would recommend going to the Trek Kearny store and talk to Rob. I’d go here just to buy small accessories.

Let me first say that Im NOT a professional « Unilocaler» that goes around giving reviews after ONE visit. This here is a completely unbiased and cumulative review.
**Need a bike? STAY AWAY! This location is only good for the occasional accessory or bike fix that can’t wait. (Read on to understand why)**
Story 1:
A friend of mine: 32yrs old (who is now a regular triathlete and road bike racer) first purchased his TREK road bike at this location during one of their sales a few years ago. He didn’t find out until after his first race that the «professional» sales team at TREK sold him a children’s sized road bike! He ended up re-​selling the bike to a family that bought it for their 13 yr old son (he is of average height and not short enough to warrant a child’s bike).
Story 2:
When I first started riding road bikes the sales reps at this location tried selling me a Triathlon bike. For those who are not familiar with a Tri bike, it is the equivalent of looking for an economical daily driver vehicle and someone trying to sell you a F1 race car. Not a good experience at all.
Story 3:
I was in need of a a specific bike part and I live less than 5 mins away from this location. So I called and was told by the rep on the phone «Javier» that EVERYTHING in the store is 10% off. I asked «what about saddles?» and he replied sarcastically «everything». So I walk in later and after seeing that they did not have the saddle I was looking for ended up buying something different. Well guess what, I was charged FULL price. When I asked him about the 10% off sale he stated «thats just for apparel». WTF? Just 10 minutes ago everything was on sale, now its just clothes? This is one of those locations where you will get a dramatically different experience depending on which rep you get.
Bottom Line:
Save yourself the drama and the retail Russian roulette and stick to a tried and true Bike shop. There are many other more reputable and knowledgeable bike shops in San Diego. Try HI-​TECH BIKES in Clairmont Mesa where you get lifetime maintenance, lifetime bike fitting for every bike purchase (so you know youre not getting a child’s bike), and a 30 day return policy. TREK has NO return policy. That in and of itself is a reason to stay away from this place. Good luck.
