USPS

Came into this post office at 8:15am (6 days before Christmas) and had a very positive experience. Had tried to ship a couple of items from the Schertz Post Office, but they don’t feel the need to change their hours to accommodate the holiday shipping traffic. Get in and out was much better than the one in Schertz. The lady at the counter was very helpful and patient. The custom forms I had were not the new versions and she helped me get the corrected ones on the package – all this with a line behind me. She also saved me considerable shipping costs by making easy for me use their flat rate boxes – again waiting on me. Overall great experience – not the «i’m doing you a favor» attitude you usually get at the Schertz Post Office.

This post office is pretty ridiculously bad. I order a ton of stuff online via Amazon Prime etc and I have done so at four or five different addresses but only in Cibolo is there about a 60% chance that even though I have a delivery confirmation, I don’t have my item. The typical MO is to put the item in a parcel locker and forget to put the key in my box, but they’ve also simply put my items in the box of a similar address. I’ve lived here about six months now and this has happened to me no less than eight times. Unsatisfactory!

Where is zero stars. The employees at this post office are so rude and not knowledgable. I had to deal with the manager today who spoke to me as if I was 5 years old. I purchased an item online. The store shipped it in a incorrect envelope. The post office then wants me to pay additional shipping because the online store made a mistake on the proper envelope used. Instead of apologizing to me for the post office not catching this error, the manager reprimands me who’s the consumer who just trying to obtain my online purchase that I already paid shipping on. I technically live in schertz but our community has to use the cibolo post office due to zoning. As far as I’m concerned the cibolo post office and staff can go FFFF themselves!

I swear I have reviewed this place a few times, but one star random reviews keep popping up…
Anyway, this is the epitome of a Reagan-​era post office. Warm, brown brick, polished faux stone floor, looks like it could withstand a nuclear blast. Obama may have his picture hanging on the wall, but The Gipper’s name is on the dedication plaque.
I’ve always had fast, friendly service here. The wait is a LOT shorter than that other post office in the next town over. Plus it seems to be better staffed.
Haters gonna hate, but my USPS is right off FM 78!

I never post reviews but I feel like I need to warn people about this post office.
I recently moved here from California and I had gone into the post office on Fort Sam and changed my address. The man said it would be fine to change it there for my Cibolo address. I had left my keys at a hotel in California on our trip here and they were sending them to my new address in Cibolo and it was supposed to be delivered on July 21^st. It had been a week since I had changed my address and I had still not received any mail or the package so I walked into the Cibolo post office on July 23^rd and this is what they told me:
I was supposed to go into their post office to fill out a form to change my address and get a new set of keys for my box, even though we already had 2 working keys from the previous tenants. This wasn’t my issue with them, I could accept that. What set me over the edge was that they received my package on July 21^st and did not deliver it because they had no idea that I was living at that address. They told me that they are supposed to put undeliverable packages on a 10 day hold to see if the addressee comes for them but they had already sent the package back to the shipper. It is now August 9^th and the shipper (hotel) has still not received the package. I filed a claim and the Cibolo post office called me yesterday and said «all I can say is that we are sorry and hopefully it turns up eventually. I will have a talk with the carrier so that he is aware of what happened.» THAT’S IT. THAT’S ALL I GET FOR THEM LOSING MY SET OF KEYS THAT HAS BOTH MY EXPENSIVE VEHICLE KEYS AND 3 DIFFERENT HOUSE KEYS.

Yeah, I am going to be a mean old lady and bash this postal service. After the news today with important docs that were suppose to be sent to my oncologist a week ago in the mail never made it to him.
This was not the only time I had trouble with this postal office. Before moving to this little town I took the time to go on to usps website to fill out a change of address form and they charge you $ 1 fee and I got a confirmation and everything. I’ve done this a few times before and never had a problem getting my mail to my new residence. You know what the manager told me… said that I am suppose to go into the local office and tell them that I moved here and I should be added to the house address in order to get mail or else my mail will get forwarded because the post women or man assumes that this person doesn’t live here. If you’re getting a shit load of mail for the same person every day I would expect them to know someone just moved into the house. Or checked the change of address forms, I don’t know how that works but I would think that info will be sent to the office location.
What’s the point in doing the online change of address form if I had to go in personally? I didn’t have a fax machine so did a lot of correspondence through mail with my medical paper work and insurance, most of the documents being sent to me were returned to the sender and I would spend hours on the phone to find out why I haven’t received anything and pissed off that these people aren’t doing there job, but no it was not their fault. It was the dumb ass in blue shorts. So, everything I was trying to get together all got delayed and still working on right now and it is frustrating!
I had family and friends sending me packages, but I never got anything anyone sent me. I will have to invest in efaxing or a faxing machine now since the usps at this location is unreliable. Or a PO BOX (with me going in to get one yeah I better get my mail and packages if I do that!) Screw that I am doing everything with Fedex!
I also want to add a comment from my sister… she got a birthday card earlier this year and it was obvious that someone opened and took the contents in there. So, sad!
Whoever the carrier is working on the route, needs to be fired!
