The tamales are good, but there was a long black hair in one of mine. I was so disgusted and angry that they lacked hygiene. I was upset because they were expensive and I didn’t even get to eat it all. I gave the man my order 1 green tamale de puerco, and 1 red de puerco. I come home to find out that they’re chicken. Very upset

LOOOOOOOOVE me some Aracely’s tortas and tamales!!! Sure as hell beats Burger King, Mcdonald’s, Wendy’s and all these other fast food joints. Its cheap too!!! I can get a torta, chips and a drink for the same price as and fast food meal. Im not a big tamale guy. But I tear Aracely’s tamales up everytime I get a craving for tamales!!! Theyre just DELICIOUS!!! Once in a while I’ll eat their pastries but not too often cause I try to watch my calories. Tamales PLUS pastries is a bit much for me. Its either or. But Aracely’s is definitely worth stopping for!!!

Came here for the tamales. They are delish! Taking them to a meeting tomorrow morning so my coworkers won’t be grumpy. Anywhoo, while here I also bought«pan Mexicano» for the fam. It’s pretty good. Place is clean and they have a variety of pastries, sandwiches, coffee, and tamales! Definitely coming back, they are convenient and the taste is pretty original. Tip– they open very early — in case you need to get some chocolate abuelita.

This bakery has delicious treats such as their tamales and champurado. As customer service goes its less of a treat and more of a hassel. I ordered a cake in December and the spelling was wrong. Yet I still ordered a cake for my daughter in January and when I went to pick it up the girl at the counter said the cake order was never placed so there I was on my daughter’s b-day with no cake. I could tell the girl was apologetic but that wasn’t making a frustrating situation any better. I have to say I was given a full refund after a call was placed to the owner. So even with the most delicious treats available their lack of great customer service stands out the most and I won’t be ordering from them again.

I called to ask about an order of cupcakes and the person that answered seemed super rushed to get off the phone and ended up hanging up on me while I was asking a question. I have never been to the bakery and if that’s how they treat costumers, I will probably never go.

Got to try their tamales. They make then @ 4:00AM and most of the blue collar workers in the area buy them up by 8:00AM but if your willing to put out the effort and get there early. you are in for a real treat. The Chicken with red sauce and the pepper and chees are my favorites! Nice people.

I just want to say how completely disappointed I am with this place. I expected so much more from a place that won the tamale fest two years in a row. I have to say my perception is that apparently this bakery makes enough money without my business and it can continue to do so as far as I’m concerned. My husband Angel ordered a dozen pineapple tamales from the Cermak location. More than a week in advance!!! We arrived at 10:00 am as directed to pick up our tamales. We were then rudely informed by the young lady working the counter that our tamales were not ready. She pulled up our order and said they are not ready. No I’m sorry or anything just come back later as if I have nothing else to do but work around their obvious lack of schedule. The young lady shrugs her shoulders as if she could care less! Then proceeded to rip up our order in front of us because they weren’t paid in advance so who cares!!! I have to say the absolute worst customer service I have EVER experienced in my life!!! At this point my husband asks for the manager who was at least apologetic but then asks us to come back on December 24th. At this point I will NEVER visit their establishment again!!! My husband and I eat all over Chicago and recommend many places to our friends and family. We will not recommend this place to our worst enemies! Thank you Aracely’s for ruining this experience!!! If I could give negative stars I would! And please train your employees in customer service!

So It was a couple of days after Day of Kings and I need a Rosca de Reyes. I called several places and was told they were no longer making them. Finally I called Araceli’s, they told me the had them. I went there and sure enough I got my hands on a freshly made Rosca. Everyone at my party was complementary of it as well. Their regular bread is also great.

Aracely’s Bakery is an absolute favorite for my boyfriend and I! They have the most delicious sandwiches with a wide variety of breads, meats, and toppings to satisfy your craving. They only use fresh ingredients which is why their sandwiches taste so good. However, the item everyone must try is their tamales. They are only $ 1.25 each and usually have green and red tamales with cheese, rajas, and chicken but it is first come first serve so get there early! Their guava empanadas are really tasty too. Aracely’s quick & friendly service along with their mouth watering sandwiches help them achieve a five star review. Keep up the great work!

We usually order sandwiches to go while at work. The sandwiches are fresh and delicious, much better than Subways. We like the fact there are many options to make your sandwiches. I have not been back to Subways since then.

I recently became addicted to the sweet, sweet pastries at Aracely’s. So many delicious things and very cheap! You just grab a tray and tongs and pick what you want. They pretty much leave you alone, which is good and bad — sometimes I don’t know what the fillings are! The local latinos go there, so it must be OK.

Delicious sweet bread that makes me wish I could just drive there for breakfast everyday. For $ 20.00 bucks you can get enough bread for you and the family for a Sunday Brunch. I recommend the one filled with sweet potato ^_^ YUM!
