Can’t believe I’ve never reviewed this place. I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid and still love this place. Aguascalientes has been consistent since day 1. Their Gorditas are amazing. I usually order the Gorditas de Asada but would also highly recommended the Gorditas de Dona Cuca. I’ve had de Chicharron but wasn’t impressed.

Soooooooooooooooo, went out to Cicero for homemade tortillas/gorditas. It was worth the drive. Not a place to take a date to try to impress, but the food is yummy yummy yummy. We had a gordita with rajas y queso and Carne a la Tampiqueña. The skirt steak portion was insane(in a good way). It came with handmade tortillas on the side. My first time having a gordita and it was delish. Too bad I live out in the burbs. Service was ok. The girl was nice. She spoke English. Didn’t catch her name. If they focused on presentation, atmosphere and better service they could be a hot spot out here… if I’m ever out here again, I will stop by. Scary location but hey, try to blend in:)

I can’t help but feel they discriminate. I order in english because I really don’t speak spanish, and they over charge me. My mom orders in spanish, she’s fluent, and her food comes out cheaper. I ordered 4 tacos, 2 plain, 2 with everything…15 bucks and some change. Really? That’s ridiculous.

So now there’s distrust. To place an order for pickup now you have to prepay, by giving them your credit /debit card info over the phone. Total turn off because that’s sensitive information to be givin out over the phone. The alternative is to walk in, stand in line, order, pay, and wait for your order to come out. A disservice for the carry out people who are on the go. Gonna go to el meson(57th and cermak) or Indio(61st and cermak) …Ahora hay desconfianza al ordenar por teléfono para llevar.

I really like this place. I’ve been coming here for years. I was around here when they first opened and only had like 4 or 5 tables. And boy, DIDTHEYGROOOOOW!!! Food has always been on point. Really delicious gorditas and pretty much everything else as well. Service can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are but thats understandable. Its ALWAYS A PLEASURE!!! I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting the owner Don Andres Macias. He’s such a nice and humble man. Im a lifelong customer.

Food is ok, customers service is horrible always getting the orders wrong. Also it smell like wet mop. So many chemicals used to clean tables and floors. And they do not take orders over the phone without prepaying first! «I mean really»… What if your not comfortable giving up your credit/debit card information over the phone???

I like the fact that they serve liquor… the pictures of the food looks good i had the nopales with cheese taco which is good but the pork skin in green in red sauce wasnt great… the fact that you have to pay for chips & salsa is something else. so we ordered it as an app just to get it after the entrees… and my friend got his food before mine… he finished his plate before i even got mine then the chips & salsa came… but the liquor was good

If there would be a negative star I would give It to them. I have been in many Mexican restaurants, dives etc. Today I had a Simple Burrito there. One word: Disgusting ! Seriously This was the worst burrito I was ever served. I can not even say I ate it. I had a few bites and gave it back. Will never enter this place again.

A dive. Quick convenient meal by the Cicero CTA Pink Line. 2 minis + 1 taco + horchata = $ 11. Plenty of meat inside taco and gordita. FREESPICYPICKLEDCARROTS Note: the housemade cornmeal mix used as taco and gordita is dry, bit hard and gritty(plenty of corn). Serious chewing skills needed. DONACUCAMINIGORDITA($ 2.50 + $ 1.00 extras) — carnitas and buche with salsa. I love minis. Warned to be spicy and convinced to minimize spiciness with cheese and sour cream for extra fees. Superbly drowned. I only tasted the buche(pork stomach). RAJASCONQUESOMINIGORDITA($ 2.50) — poblano pepper slices with cheese. First bite was tasteless. Added pickled carrots to add flavor. LOMODEPUERDOENADOBO($ 2.25) — pork tenderloin in mild adobo sauce. Pork chunks galore and no add-ins. HORCHATA — just okay. Nothing to brag about. SERVICE — quick, friendly and informative. VENUE — a dive. Watch your steps. 3rd world décor. Organized. Clean.

I love this place for their chicken tacos its amaze-balls lol, customer service is ok but not that great since it’s a busy restaurant but I love it regardless been coming here since I was a little girl and always will. OhhhhK! For starters, I didn’t get a gordita. I got a steak torta. It could have been better without the burnt pieces of steak. I’m thinking that they have a pile of meat on the griddle and it is just constantly cooking and you get some hard pieces. The rice reminds me of my grandmas rice, garlic taste. My husband got menudo with a patita but they brought the patita separate which was weird(probably costs extra.) it was ok… I still love my Indio on Cermak but they are closed on Sunday.

Came here Saturday around 7. pretty busy day… we decided where to go since no one acknowledges you. We had menu and a waitress taking our drinks right away. No chips or salsa which is sad. I ordered a Piña colada with liquor. My husband wanted a michelada which he asked if they were bomb(to the waitress) which she responded that honestly she didn’t know how to make them and that the lady that knew had already left. Ookay! My Piña colada was a liquor colada because it did not taste like Pina it was so strong. So we ordered a tampiquena and my husband had a Dona cucas(I think that was the name) gordita and a pastor tacos and 1 steak taco. He said the gordita was okay not wow like they say. tacos were nothing special at all. My tampiquena was so small and bland totally not worth the $ 21 the quesadillas were soooo hard but the taste they had was so good. Wish they would of been hot! Service was pretty good our ticket said maria and Erika took care of us. One if them was awesome wish I knew who it was. I don’t think I will be coming back…

I’ve been coming here since I was like 12, so this place is somewhat nostalgic for me. Still the best gorditas I’ve had, just delicious! My favorites are the classic beans with cheese, carne asada, and rajas con queso. I went a couple of weeks ago after about a 4 year hiatus, and was not disappointed.

I love this restaurant. The Food To ME Is Absolutely Delicious! The staff was more than friendly with my non Hispanic heritage(that’s a reply to one’s who call this facility racist). I ordered a burrito and a taco, delicious. My friends ordered the gordidas I think is what they are called and both where satisfied. Their horcheta is very nice, not too sweet. Definitely coming back!

BESTDAMNGORDITAS… POINT, BLANK, PERIOD!!! My coworker and I came here for lunch we both had the steak gordita with beans, lettuce, tomato, avocado, cilantro and onions, she had hers with sour cream and cheese. The staff is not racist, friendly, the place gets busy during the week for lunch, so at times the staff can get a little overwhelmed. I have been here several times and always the same courtesy service and hot, delicious food fast.

By far the most RACIST establishment I have ever been to in my life. Never have I ever been so blatantly disrespected or reagrded as «just a stupid white girl, what do I know about Mexican food…» I know that when pork is sour and dry it’s not a good thing. Needless to say, I sent it back. Upon paying for our meal we were told that we would still have to pay for my gordita. I literally tasted ONE piece of pork and my hunger disappeared faster than a Twinkie in the apocalypse. It was disgusting. Old sour pork masked in chile verde in an attempt to disguise the taste. I was then berated by 3 women who swore up and down to both my husband and I that I simply don’t understand what it’s supposed to taste like. They then regarded me once again as «stupid white b@%#&». A follow up call to the Health Department and a surprise inspection is definitely in the works for this establishment!

Delicious! My go-to place for gorditas. Yes, I’m Mexican, but there are certain dishes I never learned to cook. One of them being gorditas. So when I get the craving for something mom used to make, I have my go-to spots that help me remember what mom’s food used to taste like. Gorditas Aguscalientes does it for me with their gorditas. They stuff the dough pockets with large chunks of tender, delicious meat and the sauces the meat is stewed in are yummy. Yesterday we got the pork in green sauce, the lomo in red sauce, rajas con queso and chicken. I took one star off because the horchata was off and I don’t like their carrots. They also have 99 cent banana licuados.
