Typical small town library that packs a bit of a punch. Impressive amount of activities are available here: after school snack and book chat, yoga classes, art classes for kids and teens, and adult book group. There is a computer area available for anyone to use as well as a copy machine. The computers are getting to be a bit old school but I find it’s part of the charm. The children’s area is well stocked with toys, books, and activities. Nice selection of current magazines. Music and DVD collection is slender and lacking but they do have some current titles. Plenty of spacious areas to sit and read or study and a few tables with chairs as well. A small selection of Spanish titles are hiding out on a shelf near the magazines. Librarians here are super friendly and more than happy to help assist you with anything you may need. While not overflowing with a plethora of new books or authors you might be interested in, HNPL is a nice library and you are sure to find something you will like. You’ll find me in the cookbooks! Also, free wi-fi for all!
