I just went to see Aveta, at JPAC… it was simply fantastic! I go to musicals about once a month. I went with my partner and was blown away. The wonderful lady that played Aveta carried the show completely. She is amazing. The drama in this show, for a small stage, was amazing. They did a fantastic job. What more can I say. It was amazing.

The theater is in Monroe college, parking is free and a non-issue. Very close to Midway airport. I am not overly familiar with the area but surrounding food options seemed limited to mostly chains on cicero. The surrounding area can seem a bit iffy at times(I.e. blue box) but no issues that I could tell. A midsized theater with good proximity to stage and actors. The Evita cast did a great job with this production, my family really enjoyed it. You could tell that the cast and crew were working hard. A great value and quality show from Goldstar(tip). Seating took place shortly before start of show so hanging in the lobby prior at a minimal service snack bar with limited options. For this production, tickets were will call and I suspect were assigned as you showed up(I.e. fill from the front).

Pretty funny story how I ended up here, so I was told by another couple we were going to see Book of Mormon, then it changed to Spamalot, then from Spamalot to a community theater production of Spamalot. So i ended up here, I got a little extra curricular activity happening in the parking lot, before I looked at the other male counterpart and we exchanged looks like«are we really doing this?» And we dove in. They sell tea for $ 1, and I only had a $ 50, it is a nice stage and seating is comfortable. The actors were good, overall very enjoyable.

When I heard there was a play that the gorgeous yet genius Rod Sterling based The Twilight Zone on, I knew I was all in. The play«Outward Bound» is a sci-fi-ish play about 7 strangers on a boat that are dead and headed to their eternal homes – either Heaven or Hell. I don’t want to give too much away, so I’ll just leave the play description at that. Jedlicka is a theater at Morton College in Cicero. It’s really easy to get to off the highway and ample(free) parking. The seats were way too close together and I was just completely cramped and found myself with half my body on top of my husband just so I wasn’t touching the woman next to me. I have to dock a star for this. I don’t think it’s too much to ask to want to be comfortable during the experience. Otherwise, I really liked this theater. The sets were so beautiful and were very well designed for a smaller theater. The actors also did a great job and we thought that the one who played the drunk was the best. Turns out, that was his first professional acting role. Kudos to him! They also served coffee, pop, cupcakes and pizza at intermission and that was really cool. I mean you add cupcakes to anything and it’s always 100% better. Oh I’ll DEFINITELY be back.
