Way over priced! Especially the meat section. Once in a great while they have good deals on the deli but other than that, I only go to Torres in case of an emergency.

Very clean store and close to home but the prices are always high, I prefer going to trader joes even though it’s farther but they have more varieties of fruits and the prices are good. I would also love it if they sold more organic foods since I am a health enthusiast and vegan.

It’s okay but the prices are a little to high. If you want to go grocery shopping you might as well go to Food for Less or Cermak Produce you’ll get your money’s worth of groceries. Overall it’s not bad if you need some quick groceries, but don’t go to their restaurant save your money and go some place else. The cooks are extra slow, the food is just alright and they got my order wrong after waiting more than 20 minutes for 2 tacos(I was the only customer.)

Torres is a great but small supermarket. While it cannot compare to the local Cermak Produce in variety, it’s still a great reliable store with fresh produce and fantastic prices and sales. It’s deli and meat dept are small but with a great turnover. The meat is just as fresh and well cut as Cermak Produce. But the best part of Torres is it’s tiny indoor taquería run and serviced by an all women staff at the time of this review. Everything is made from scratch and right in front of you(if you like to sit at the counter.) The typical americanized Mexican food is made here(tacos, burritos and the like) with daily and weekly plate and combo specials advertised with large bilingual signs and photos. The only bad thing is if you aren’t paying in cash you have to go pay at the customer service counter. For whatever reason, the restaurant itself doesn’t have a card swipe. Boo-urns, I say. Parking is kinda a problem. While the small parking lot right next to the store usually fills up during busy peaks not many people are aware that there is another parking lot midway down the block. The problem is not many folks are willing to walk the measly 25 feet of sidewalk to the front door(present company included) so during peak hours the tiny parking lot is a hassle. So if you want to visit a smaller grocery store with amazing prices and grab a bite to eat, Torres is the place to be.

Great neighborhood grocery store. Torres puts an emphasis on perishables with a fresh, wide variety of produce & a great meat department. The meat department specializes in Latino cuts of meat. I’ve gotten great arrachera(limpia, abierta y por la machina), and the butcher has always trimmed the meat with expert precision. Highly recommended
