Hubby and I called Forkable Feast last minute for Valentine’s Day(we’re both pretty lazy on the whole making plans thing) and we spoke to the head chef there. They were actually closing(it was about 3:05, they close at 3), but he said that come on down, he’d let us in. We jumped in the car and 5 minutes later we landed in this little haven of a place. The chef(possible owner?) showed us around and asked what we were looking for. We’re not super picky but we ended up with a Cornish game Hen on a bed of arugula, lamb shank, mashed potatoes, potato trio(sweet potatoes, fingerling, and russet), green beans and for dessert: chocolate covered strawberries. we stuck it in the fridge for the next couple of hours, then followed the directions to reheat. It was delicious! Much better than we could have done, and definitely cozier at home as opposed to the fuss of going out. Directions were clear and easy to follow, it depends on your oven, but I recommend heating a little bit extra to make sure it’s hot rather than just warm. Everything was tasty, juicy, and expertly prepared. It was easy on the wallet too! Definitely a great value.

Best gluten free bread I’ve had since getting diagnosed with celiacs three years ago. Amazing Turkey club. It was like being able to eat at panera again. Very high quality food. Will be back weekly.

Holy moly. I called A Forkable Feast as option #2 for catering a 2-day meeting. They are now my #1. The food(stuffed chicken breast w/salad and veggies and rice lunch, veggie tray & hummus snacks, quiche breakfast w/potatoes and sausage and muffins and fruit, and boxed lunches to go) is all amazing. Get the cookies. I worked with Frances who is super friendly and helpful, especially when I called 4 times with different head counts. Many thanks for a great experience!

I have to say that this place definitely has an unique concept. The idea behind making quality meals for people who have to work is really great. From the options given on the menu, I had pretty high hopes for this place. However, I feel that it falls a little short on what I expected. From their selections in the store it seemed like the portions might be slightly smaller than I would have liked for the price I would be paying. To get full, I’d definitely have to get a side or two + an entrée. At that price I probably could have spent my time at a restaurant. I ended up getting a sandwich(probably the best value as well), which was pretty good and loaded with meat so I can’t complain there. I also got the goat cheese mac and cheese, which was recommended. I heated it in the oven and I definitely had to heat it way past the time on the container so their times might not be the most accurate. As for the mac and cheese itself, it was quite bland in my opinion. The goat cheese was fine just that I expected quite a bit more pop. Overall, the idea is great but, while it might be good for some, it lacked the appeal I expected of the shop.

I wasn’t too sure what to expect from A Forkable Feast. The store was empty. The portions were small and felt expensive. For what looked like TV dinners, I was hesitant to spend anything more than 10 bucks. So I thought I’d hedge my bets and go with something safe and cheap. I ended up trying the chile marinated pork loin sandwich, which was served with lettuce, tomato, onion, provolone, spicy bbq sauce, and cilantro pesto-mayonnaise on toasted ciabatta. The sandwich was very balanced, and I loved the sauce. The pesto mayo and spicy bbq made for an interesting combination, and there was just the right amount of kick to it. I think this sandwich would work much better as a hot sandwich, but in any case, I was very happy with the sandwich. They also give you a little snack-pack of chex mix that they cooked with brown sugar and butter. As with all things with carbs, sugar, and butter, it was delicious! Alex L. aptly described it as kettle cooked chex mix. Considering the near restaurant prices of forkable feast, I’m not too sure if this will be a staple, but the sandwich was good enough to warrant a second visit. If you’re looking to impress a significant other with a «home-cooked» meal, A Forkable Feast may be an excellent, albeit slightly dishonest, option.

A Forkable Feast in Oakley is a one of a kind. They make the most amazing gourmet take you have ever had in a way you have never had it. The food is chilled(frozen) using a special process. Trust me this is not a frozen dinner. You get to pick out your meal, entire, sides, dessert ect… then take it home and heat it in the oven or microwave. Hard to believe but even out of the microwave this is better than a meal you would get at a fancy expensive restaurant. It’s great for a special dinner at home or anytime really as the coast is very reasonable for the quality. They also do catering and you may have seen them on Fountain Square or the Hyde Park farmers market this summer. Give it a try you will love it!!!
