Applebee’s

It’s been a long time since I visited Applebee’s and now I know why. Back in the day my friends and I always went to Applebee’s as it was fun and food was delicious. The place now looks dated, service was slow, our meals were not good and they were overpriced. I’d rather eat at McDonald’s than try another cheeseburger here… it was a greasy mushy mess and the onion rings were no better. To top it off, the table pay system displayed someone else’s bill.
Applebee’s has lost their relevance and I won’t be back.

I was not very impressed by this Applebee’s. I rarely am so I usually don’t go, however, I had a gift card and a coupon for a free appetizer (which you get when signing up for the e mail club). This is one of the smaller locations I see and it has a weird vibe. Nobody really seemed to be working and there was a lot of distractions due to all of the workers being loud and chatting. Our server was nice but seemed kinda out of it. The mozzarella sticks are good, but my chicken Caesar was disappointing. Lettuce was old and some pieces are brown. They have a HORRIBLE dressing selection — basically just ranch, blue cheese, Caesar, and oriental, none of which I like. They brought me out vinegar and oil which seemed old and the containers were sticky. I usually love going out to dinner and in this case, I couldn’t wait to get out of that place. I will not be back… I think once is enough.

Dear Applebee’s,
Its been a while since we hooked up. I know I became engaged with fine dining and trendy establishments but I just wanted to write to tell you how much I missed you! The 2 for $ 20 with the appetizer or two salads was an excellent strategy to win me over. Since I was with the Mrs., it significantly reduced the total amount to money I would have potentially spent PLUS! the $ 3 16oz happy hour house made margarita was killer! I ordered two simultaneously!.. and double fisted! BRAIN-​FREEZE!!! Got to feed the kiddo from the kids menu and didn’t have to spend a fortune. The quality of the food and the service were noteworthy and I don’t have any complaints about my experience. For a restaurant chain… you did your thang… and I for one appreciate it. I know I will be back regardless of what the other reviews say. I think its all about your expectations. Mine were low coming in (like with most chains) but they were definitely exceeded and I enjoyed my meal.

Is 0 star an option? Walked in the door and the hostess didn’t acknowledge us at all. Finally turned around and said how many in just above a whisper. Server was nice, but terrible. Another server brought our food out, and our server didn’t come back to the table until she was bringing the bill. I used to be a server, I get bad days, but this was awful. My salmon was raw, manager was too busy with all the other unhappy customers. Everyone, customers and employees looked miserable. I left hungry and will never, ever go back.

This is literally the worst applebees I’ve ever been to, we ordered food to go and my nachos had no cheese just chips and lettuce, the siracha shrimp was cold and had 4 pieces and we ordered wings and didn’t get them even though we paid. Will never go back I paid $ 33 for chips and cold shrimp.

DISGUSTNG! STAY AWAY! Went on Monday night for burger special but did not bother toasting soggy bun. Nice size oriental chicken salad with floss included. Picked up a piece of salad with a piece of chicken hanging a foot below from a piece of hair. Waitress wanted evidence to take back to kitchen to replace … but never offered to remove from bill. All the while my family had to listen to a loud mouth blue collar drunk tell stories and cuss from bar. So much for the family neighborhood restaurant of old.

I’ve only said this once about another restaurant but here it is again, I would give this place ZERO stars if I could. Went tonight for Monday Night Football, which usually is a big deal at sports bars, at least that’s what I thought. As we sit down, we order two blue moons and an appetizer, little did we know that would be the last interaction with our server we would get before have to get up and leave. At first waiting wasn’t a huge deal for us because we were focused on the game, UNTIL these kids (clearly in high school) came in and sat at the BAR, flirting with the bartender, got her to turn OFF the game that WAS BEING WATCHED BY THE ENTIRETY OF THE BAR AREA so that these TEENAGERS could turn on the jukebox and blare the backstreet boys throughout the restaurant. In this time we never saw our server, and we witnessed a handful of people get up, abandon their food and drinks (including us) and leave. This restaurant clearly has a severe management problem, and we will never be returning. Nor will I refer anyone to dine here. Like I said before, 1 star is giving this place ENTIRELY too much credit.

Last time my family and I ate at Applebee’s, my mom’s fish was undercooked and the service was absolutely terrible. This wasn’t the only time I’ve had a bad experience at this Applebee’s. Needless to say, It’s been about 5 years since I’ve eaten here and I have no desire to return.

I love the food at Applebee’s, but I gotta say the service just plain sucks. It takes forever to get your food to the point that it would be quicker to cook something for yourself. You’ll need to carve out several hours to eat here, but don’t worry there’s a TV on every wall so you don’t have to interact with your family. I’ll give them credit, they have installed little gaming systems at each table. It’s almost like they know your kids will be chewing the table leg after an hour of waiting so they have to keep them occupied. Well played.

We arrived at approximately 3:30 pm. It was slow and every one was kind of slowed down. Which was fine. We got seated right away, and even asked if we’d like drinks within about 5 min of sitting (we were pretty relaxed, so we didn’t mind… at first). But once Ms. Kim, I think her name was Ms. Kim, came and took our drink order (me: water and margarita. Husband: water.) 10 full min went by, the bartender hadn’t even made a single water for us, and Ms Kim was no where to be found. We walked out. It was a shame because we were so excited to try their new menu (we haven’t been in a long while). We will not be back here!

Server (Stephanie) sucks. She kept disappearing. Brought our salads late. Then 10 seconds later another server tried to bring our entrees. I sent the entrees back told her to make new food cause 1 we had just gotten our salads and 2. The entrees will get cold. She waits till we are done with our salad. And brings the same food back. I sent the food back again. Then took her 30 more minutes to bring our entrees out. Manager took 25% off bill. I think it should of been more for the horrible service we received. The manager Dusty states that if he had know about the time it took to get the salad, and that they tried to send the same food to the table he would have made sure to have it remade. I made sure to let him know that he really needs to address his servers, at one point every server was off the floor and the bartender stated «what did everybody take a break?» I never knew my reason for never coming to this location… it’s known now…

It’s has been awhile and we will not return. The restaurant was half empty and was told an hour wait. We then get seated and have to wait ten more minutes just to order. 1^st mixed drink read great them the 2^nd was a disaster. And finally they brought out a plain cheese burger worth a dab of sauce for 11 dollars. They replaced the burger with the correct burger ànd took 2 dollars off for my trouble. Needless to say my family was already done eating at that point and I had to hurry through an over priced burger to get my infant back to the car. Poor service and quality at this location unlike the one in West Chester.

It’s been over ten years since I last ate at Applebee’s. It’ll be at least that long before I come again. The food isn’t awful, but it’s terribly bland, dried out and feels like it was sitting on a shelf for a long time before they decided «today we sell all the peas.»

My appetizer was mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce, the sticks tasted like fish oil and the sauce was like dried paste with no flavor. It’s corporate policy to not have baked potatoes until 4pm… REALLY… I will never eat at Applebee’s again…

Horrible experience. Placed online order for carside to go. No one ever came out, my husband went in and no one could figure out anything. i finally called the store and they told me they ran out of boxes. What a joke, no wonder I only eat there is when someone gives me a gift card!

I normally wouldn’t be so terribly unkind to Applebee’s but… The waitstaff wasn’t exactly kind (that definitely puts a damper on things) the wait for for drinks was exceptionally long and the food was just okay… Okay meaning on scale of 1 – 10 the food would be about a 6. I am not sure what happened to Applebee’s but it was a place I liked but somehow when the food is just okay and the waitstaff isn’t exactly kind something must be off but maybe that’s just me.

Been here a few times since its close to my house. Never had a good experience. Never horrible. Just not good. Never had a manager or gm check in. Had one experience where all the food and appetizers came at the exact time. After waiting 45 minutes for the food. We took the food. Told the manager and they could of cared less.
Had under cooked food, drinks spilled. Never a great experience. But more than that. No communication from the upper management.

No…not Shenanigans, but Applebee’s. Has anyone seen the Onion web article that suggests hipsters go here ironically? That’s money.
Well, for all the repetitive unoriginal chain silliness that comes along with this place, I have to say, they’re open late and when I need a meal in the wee hours Applebee’s has come to my rescue multiple times. So, I can’t knock them too hard. The staff is friendly (can be a little slow at times though).
This is a popular after Covedale hangout for audience and performers alike.
