The Good: The Burgers, friendly service, location The Bad: Limited draft beer selection My family and I finally had a chance to experience the new Arthur’s in Anderson. We weren’t sure what to expect since we are already fans of the Hyde Park location but didn’t know if we would get the same experience at their second location. Our trip to the Anderson location did not disappoint. Walking into the restaurant you get the same hometown feel that you do with the Hyde Park location. The dining room is a little more wide with the bar at the front of the room. The menu offers all of the favorites such as a range of appetizers, fresh salads, sandwiches, and of course burgers. We went on a Sunday night to take advantage of their Burger Madness special, available Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. The burgers came out fresh and cooked according to our instructions when ordering. It definitely carries the torch along with the other location and with still being one of the better burgers in town. The staff made this visit especially enjoyable since they are very attentive and eager to please. On top of having our own waitress, several other servers came by during the meal to offer drink refills, bring out food, and try to entertain our 14 month old daughter. The only thing I could point out is that their draft beer selection isn’t as robust as the Hyde Park location. They offer about 6 taps of draft beer featuring all local brewers, which is a plus in my book. But if you aren’t a fan of the style of each beer, you won’t get a chance to experiment with new brewers who brew your favorite style. They do offer an extensive bottle selection which more than makes up for the draft list if you choose to go that route. Overall our experience was very enjoyable. Between the food, service, and easy to get to location on Beechmont Avenue, I look forward to adding this location to my list of places to frequent.

Came here twice while working on a project in the area… The restaurants all up and down this street may play to the clientele who like the chain-like types of bland food, but not this place. They had delicious fresh burgers and the service was excellent… Good work!

I had the black and blue burger and it was awesome! The cajun fries were also very good as were the onion rings. Our server was Stephen I think and he was the best server I’ve had in quite awhile. My friend and I both loved our food and had a great time. No wait, excellent food, excellent service! I was very pleased. My only problem was I rolled my ankle in a hole in the parking lot! It’s fine though. I’ll be back for sure! Glad to have Arthur’s in Anderson!

My husbands fish and fries were full of grease(in the bottom of the basket) — he immediately told our server who alerted the manager. She came over, joked about it and said that she would«discount» his meal. We were thinking they’d take it off of our tab totally since he only had ½ piece of fish & none of the cole slaw or fries. We got our check and she had literally«discounted» the meal — she took off ½ the price of the meal. Since he’d only eaten ½ piece of fish(out of 2 pieces) and nothing else in his meal she, had she cared about her customers, should have removed the cost of the entire meal(and not made a joke about his meal being full of grease). He told her that we go there often but that he usually orders a burger but wanted to try something new off their menu this time and her response? It was to tell him«well, that’s the chance you take when trying something new, right». Needless to say, we won’t be back…

I love this homey pub. The servers and staff are always warm and sweet and anticipate your needs, and the food always meets my expectations. I come here looking for comfort food – burgers with bacon, fish and chips, maybe an app or two, and am never disappointed. I continue to be perplexed at how easy it is to get a table here: Anderson is a notoriously difficult area to thrive in owning an independent restaurant, as it’s a very chain-driven area, and my fear is that they may not stick around if it continues to be slow. This place is 10x better than any Applebee’s or Wendy’s, and if you consider the value and quality of food you get a much better bang for your buck. Go and see for yourself, Anderson people!

Awesome service! We went there tonight with our family of 6 and our meal was fantastic. Usually the hardest part of eating out is getting refills. We never even had to ask for one. The staff was super attentive and very nice. We had such a wonderful experience I had to talk to the manager before we left. She was just as nice and gracious as her staff. We will definitely eat there again.

I’m a devout burger lover and when I splurge on this caloric and environmentally unfriendly treat, I want it to be worthwhile. Arthur’s serves up a delicious burger, one that I happily return for. The interior is a family restaurant/bar type environment. I’ve only gone to Arthur’s during weekday lunch hours, so we haven’t had trouble getting in. However, I hear the joint gets packed in the evening and on weekends. They don’t accept reservations, but I hear they will work something out for you with a call-in wait list. I’ve had a salad here before(I know, I know, WTH), but it was surprisingly tasty and filling. However, you may as well bite the bullet and hunker down for some serious burger eating — and maybe some fried cheese eatin’ too. The fried cheese appetizer here is BOMBPUNTOCOM. Basically slabs of mozzarella, batter-dipped and deep fried like a doughnut and served in a pool of its own grease. Wrong but so right. I swear by the Boursin Burger, add bacon(yep) and caramelized onions. I’m a grilled burger/buttered-and-toasted bun kind of girl, but Arthur’s(which does neither) serves up a fabulously flavorful and juicy burger that doesn’t suffer for want of either. It’s juicy, thick but even, and so perfectly seasoned and cooked — when I order med-rare, I get med-rare. Add those crisp veggie toppings and the melty rich goodness of the Boursin cheese and caramelized onions and I am in utter burger bliss. I also appreciate that it’s a tidy burger: I can cut it in half and enjoy it without the burger messily sliding apart or the bun sogging into mush or a mouthful being nothing but condiment or lettuce. Service is very friendly and fast, I like that I see the managers being proactive and delivering checks, food and refilling drinks. The servers all seem like the type of women that have kids that go to the same school as yours, they have always seemed eager to please and warmly pleasant. Food is VERY well priced, I think this place is a great spot for the family or to duck into solo for a quick bite.

This is a solid 3.5. Everything is very good, just no wow factor or signature dish. Good execution and legit bartending keep me coming back. A good mid week place.

It is an OK neighborhood hangout but their burgers were genuinely disgusting. Not a one in our party finished our food and walked away still hungry. The onion rings were clearly cooked in oil at lower than needed temperature and were greasier than should be.

For years, I have enjoyed going to Arthur’s in Hyde Park so I was hesitant about visiting this location for fear it wouldn’t be as good! It fits this community well, providing a nice family meal option among the chain offerings of Beechmont Avenue. The space is divided into three dining areas with ability to move tables to accommodate larger crowds as well as offering booths. Based on only two visits, I thought burger madness, cod sandwich, fries, and cheesesticks our table picked were just as tasty as what I’ve had at HP. I appreciate friendly and attentive staff, but on one occasion we had at least 3 different servers approach our table while we were eating to try and remove un-finished plates. On our next visit we had a great server who was attentive without rushing us by trying to remove plates until we were done.

I don’t normally give 5 stars but this place is amazing! We decided to try this for burger week. So glad too! This is THE best burger! It was called a Luau burger. The waitress was awesome!!! :-) She was very friendly and patient. She even helped my little girl who is so indecisive to choose a drink and her burger toppings. She knew everything about everything. She even have us some good suggestions. They have a special Chipotle mayo, omg, so good. Her name is Kristin, I’d go just to see her again, she was so helpful and wanted to make sure everyone enjoyed their meals. This burger was juicy. Not mushy at all. The sugar snap peas added just a little crunch. The sauce was really great plus the pineapple added a sweetness. Because of the waitresses suggestion for the Chipotle mayo, it made it 10X better. The fries were nice and crisp. They also make Cajun fries. I was a little afraid the Cajun would be overpowering but they were also great. The beer deals were a plus+++$ 2. We will definitely visit again soon. Even my little girl was happy, that’s what matters most, thanks to Kristin. See ya soon! Yum!

Great service, good beer selection, and good food. Only suggestion is to ask for your burger underdone because chances are– they will over cook it.

One of the best hamburgers in the city. Try Tuesday unlimited burger toppings. PS they cook the burgers to order and they under cook one notch. If you want medium you probably will get med rare. its great just need to know the ins and outs. It’s great knowing that there are places of which will cook to order. Try that at Applebee’s. Cooked to death no taste the napkin would have more flavor. You will love the hamburgers. Oh ya… they cost about the same and local owner

Sad to say but I was completely underwhelmed by our meal here. I don’t know if it is not as good as the original or if the food has just gone downhill. Starting out, the popper wantons were delicious. Fried cream cheese and jalapeños, yum. The cheese sticks were not as good. They had a lot of potential. I haven’t seen beer battered cheese sticks and I was intrigued. However they came out swimming in oil and with a cheese to breeding ratio that I was not crazy about. The drinks we ordered were awful. I added all of the citrus from the water glasses to mine and it made it drinkable. The onion rings were ok but I expected them to be beer battered like the cheese sticks and they were just the standard breading. The burger was pretty meh for me. Service was ok. Overall, not a trip I would repeat.

Never thought I’d say this but Arthur’s rivals zips when it comes to burger joints in cincy. All local brews at the bar. I couldn’t have been more happy with Arthur’s on my visit.

When I heard Arthur’s was opening an Anderson location I was a little worried, without proper oversight it could easily just be a hollow shell of the original. When I placed an order for take out my fears were alleviated. Massive onion rings, delicious burger, and perfectly timed pick up, with a great friendly bar tender for my brief wait, made it all worth it. Went back later with my family and everyone enjoyed their selections; Chicken tortilla soup was spicy enough(I’d prefer hotter, but my mom likes just a kick), salad was robust, with great house dressing, and of course the burgers were perfect. There aren’t many great options for real food in Anderson(real food being not microwaved crap from a chain), but this is one. Can’t wait to go back.

Arthur’s was a great place to eat in Anderson. My family made the mistake of eating here on a Friday night, but even on the its busiest night the wait was only about 30 min. The entire table ordered the award winning cod sandwich, which lived up to its award winning status. Fish was juicy and delicious and the marble rye bread was thick enough that it didn’t get soggy. Even with the crowd the service was quick and very helpful. The busser did spill tartar sauce down my mother-in-laws leg and she could of handled that situation better, but I think she was young and embarrassed(no points deducted) From beginning to end the experience at Arthur’s was great. I think they’re known for their burgers so I want to try one of those on our next visit. BTW — Arthur’s serves craft beers brewed locally in the Tri-State!

So for a couple of weeks now my husband and I have been driving by this new establishment in Anderson. I think it used to be Perkins restaurant at some point in the Peppermint Pig shopping center off Beechmont. I think a couple of other cuisines tried this place but were unsuccessful. You can imagine my surprise when we drove by and the shopping center parking lot is packed with cars. We were intrigued. At some point we realized it was the same Arthur’s from Hype Park due to the same font. We decided to check it out. It’s your typically family hang out(at least it’s not a chain). I don’t think they did much renovations because you can clearly see the Perkins set up. But I have not been to the Hyde Park one before so I am not sure what that one looks like. We started off with their cheese sticks which apparently won Cincinnati’s Best. These cheese sticks were lightly breaded and wrenched in oil to fry. I didn’t like them. I could taste frying oil. We went on a Tuesday night which was their burger madness night where you pick a burger and add as many toppings and cheese as you want for $ 8.99 plus fries. Not a bad deal at all. I opted for their regular meat burger, chipotle barbecue and blue cheese. I know I totally didn’t take advantage of all of those toppings. My burger was cooked medium well and was very juicy, pretty decent size. Their fries is pretty good as well. Crispy, long and just the right amount salty. Overall, nice dinner but definitely not something that I will remember for months to come. Affordable is another reason we might go back but I don’t think 40 minute wait will be justified again.

Now open in Anderson, Arthur’s Café: Anderson. It’s located where the former Perkins used to be, between 8 Mile and Nagel Rd on Beechmont Ave. I unknowingly(this evening) went to their 2nd day of business. I thought they had been open for a few weeks. That said, a lot of the staff appeared a little green/young. One of the bar tenders used a cheat sheet to describe a couple of beers, but that’s understandable considering it was their second day in business. And I’d rather they have a cheat sheet than just a guess. Staff made a point to remember my name, and which beer I’d had to see if I’d like another. Their menu is identical to the Hyde Park location, and I was told there will be a new addition to the burger menu called«The Anderson». I would be negligent if I didn’t mention the Burger Madness every Sun, Mon, Tues. unlimited toppings, and cheeses limited to 6… yeah, limited to 6 cheeses?! Sitting at the bar with a HP location regular on one side, and a couple who’d never been to the HP Arthur’s, we were all getting along joking about my impending heart attack after seeing the size of my burger, and it really had a great friendly local bar kind of vibe, as we were all strangers. Benefit that this location, Parking! Huge parking lot surrounds the Anderson location. Oh yeah, free Wifi is a plus as well. Password: arthurswifi. Nice local addition to the national chain restaurant strip that is Beechmont Ave. Welcome to the Farther East!
