Cake Rack Bakery

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of being presented with a FANTABULICIOUS birthday cake from Cake Rack Bakery. Let me tell you, it was nothing short of amazing! It brought new meaning to «Death by Chocolate»! With a little caramel added to it. Check out my picture in the picture feed. It was both gorgeous and delicious. Without a doubt, the best damn cake I have ever put it my mouth! Thank you Katie F. for this surprise 60^th Bday, taste sensation! This will be our go to cake bakery from now on.

The staff was very nice and accommodating– we were looking at the breakfast menu and realized that it was too late for ordering off of it, but they said it was not a problem. The food was very good, the roasted chicken and cheddar sandwich was on a very nice, flaky bread, and the cherry jam was amazing. It was a fresh and lovely start to our day!

The Cake Rack was amazing! The staff was super friendly and helpful, even making us food from the breakfast menu after it was technically past the breakfast menu hours. Delicious food and a great atmosphere.

I just purchased an ambrosia croissant from Cake Rack as they were closing today (10 minutes ago) and I feel compelled to share something on Unilocal about it before I am even done eating it. This pastry is amazing. Please, everyone, do yourself a favor and go to Cake Rack and purchase something there. You owe it to yourself. Also try the birthday or other cakes for special occasions. I’ve been lucky to have a few of the cakes before and they are among the best cakes I have ever had. Thank you Cake Rack.

The baked goods here are flawless, but the owner’s basic business skills are sorely lacking.
Because of the high product quality, my partner of 20 years and I decided to make Cake Rack the first choice for our wedding cake order.
Imagine our reaction when we were told that our wedding date, November 28, would be so close to Thanksgiving it would be «a burden» to them — even with 6 weeks to plan for including us in their schedule!
I had previously explained our needs were modest, so perhaps she thought we weren’t worth the effort? Perhaps she didn’t want to bake for a gay couple?
We were told repeatedly she did not want to dissuade us, while simultaneously making me feel guilty about burdening her staff at Thanksgiving, and being generally reluctant about taking our order. She never even asked what kind of cake we wanted — there was no effort to promote or sell anything at any point. Her demeanor was passive aggressive — very politely telling us just to go away.
So, we left feeling very unwanted, and that’s a pretty lousy way to do business in my book!

Got a cheesecake brownie and a chcoclate cupcake, the brownie was the perfect balance of cheesecake and chocolate brownie and the chocolate cupcake was very rich and moist. Loved it!

If you are even considering going to Cake Rack Bakery, you’re already winning. Do it. You will not be sorry. Her desserts and pastries are the real deal. It’s located at the charming Findlay Market.
I am trying to think of one thing to recommend, but everything is so tasty!

Amazing. We went on a Saturday at 5PM, just before closing time. Jeanette had closed early but saw us at the door so opened. She spent about 45 minutes chatting with us, telling us about the cakes, and getting to know us. It was fantastic. We bought slices from three cakes and each was delicious.

Cake Rack is the best, most versatile bakery in the area. Every item I have had, I have told myself «this is the best –insert bakery good here– I have ever had!» Scones, donuts, lemon bars, cheesecakes, cookies, cranberry tarts, chocolate croissants, breads of all sorts. The owner knows what’s she’s doing, and quality is priority one.
I loved Cake Rack so much that I recently pre-​ordered a cake for a co-worker’s farewell reception. So many people told me it was hands down the best cake they had ever had! I agree!
Take a stroll down to Cake Rack. You will not be disappointed, you will be filled with wonder (and hopefully a yummy treat).

We stopped at Cake Rack Bakery after being lured in by their enticing display of pastries at Findlay Market. I had a vegan lemon donut that was super yummy along with a mini-​cheesecake. Definitely a highlight of the Market!

This is the best bakery I’ve been to in Cincinnati. Unbelievable quality! Their fruit tarts are fantastic. Best of all is the Italian Wedding Cake.
I so wish they had a permanent retail store. For now, I will keep visiting them in Findlay Market on weekends.
THEY NOW HAVE A BRICK AND MORTAR NEAR MAINSTRASSE IN COVINGTON!!!
