Cincinnati Adventure Boot Camp For Women

I have been going to adventure bootcamp for women for a few years! At first it was just to get fit for my wedding but I made some amazing friends and I absolutely love going! It is great too because I am able to knock my daily workout out before my son even wakes up! It’s the best way to kick off your day and I am super happy I made the decision to get healthy with them!

I’ve been coming to bootcamp for over 3 years now, and it’s truly one of the things I love about Cincinnati. When I made the decision to tell my company I’d be willing to move (if needed) it was one of the first things I considered would be a con to leaving. It’s hard to replicate the workouts and the support system.
I never considered myself a «morning person», but I was never a «working out» person either. For the majority of college, I didn’t schedule workouts and, you know what, it worked out fine. When I moved to Cincinnati post-​college, being on a new schedule with new stresses meant my body wasn’t giving me as much grace as it did before. Now I can’t imagine not having bootcamp. I still miss days all the time (yes, 5:30 is early and, yes, my bed — like yours — is awesome), but this is the first time I have felt like my lifestyle has changed vs. going through a «phase». (My P90X phase, my yoga phase, my Rhythm & Motion phase, my work-​gym phase…)
I love that you show up and Brian just tells you what to do. No time to wander around trying to come up with something, no getting bored, no letting the time get «scheduled over» by meetings or other commitments. I also love that you can make it as intense as you want it, or not. Some of us bring 30lb weights, and others are at 8lbs. It’s all good. Brian’s great about just being encouraging, not intimidating or hyper-​competitive. Still, you see some of the women there and you want to get after it. It’s a really encouraging environment full of a lot of strong women and one cool dude, even if physically some of us are still discovering how strong we could be.

I’m nearly 300 pounds, and a devout night person. If I can drag my big ass out of bed at 4:45 AM, so can you.
