I ordered from Cookies by Design in the Blue Ash shopping plaza(Cincinnati) for the first time today. I was happy to learn that they have the option of placing an order online for same-day delivery(which you’ll pay a premium for, but that would be true anywhere). About 20 minutes ago I was surprised to receive a phone call from a very pleasant man who let me know that he had just dropped off the gift basket I ordered for my neighbor, and he thanked me for my business. That’s the kind of personal touch you don’t get very often anymore! A few minutes after that I spoke with my friend, who reported that the cookies he received were both attractive and delicious. We were VERY happy with this company and will definitely remember them for future orders!

**I’ve never actually visited the store, but have ordered gifts online that get delivered from this location** This is the third time I’ve ordered from this location, mainly because my best friend and his family are from around this area and I’ve sent them a few cookie bouquets from here on various occasions. The most recent was this past week for Christmas. It was a last minute decision and I ended up ordering online a few days before wanting it delivered(put my delivery date as Monday). I kept telling my friend to check out for something and when it was nearing the end of the business day, I was a bit worried due to the holidays(and there was a chance they wouldn’t be home so I wanted to ask the store what they’d do in that case). When I called, the super friendly girl on the other line said she would go make sure my order went out that day. We got disconnected and she called back herself a few minutes later and informed me it didn’t go out, so I could either cancel it or they would do it the following day(today). I said I definitely still wanted it and to make sure they had it done today, and she ensured it would. I asked what had happened and she said that the order was somehow overlooked by the bakers. I was pretty annoyed by this but appreciated her honesty and the fact that she said she would make sure it didn’t happen again. Even though I had this experience, I am still not even hesitent to give them 4 stars. Although a fluke like yesterday occured, they were really helpful about it and my friend’s family received their cookie bouquet before 11am this morning. They did an amazing job, as they always do, and the bouquet looked gorgeous in the pics they sent me. I will definitely still continue to use Cookies by Design when I want to send a nice **edible** present to my friends family :)

I have used the one in Blue Ash since it opened. Was Sad to hear Eric didn’t have as good as an experience. They used to carry 3 flavoras of cookies and they were all delicious. All my orders were custom and so cute and perfect. The first one I had sent was about 19 yrs ago to my new Hubby @ his job @ Western & Southern. He got so much ribbing from his co workers, because they had never see anything like it before. It had him in a blue business suit and his 4.5yr old daughter both in yellow dresses with lace and long eyelashes in an adorable basket, ribbons and each of our names on our clothes. My new stepdaughter wanted to see it as did I, so he managed to get it home in 1 piece without the office guys eating it up. Still have a picture of it. Sent them regularly to all friends/family for all occasions for years with every theme you could think up. And believe me, I had so doozies! I don’t know how they made them so perfect everytime, but they did. Of course, The Bengals, The Reds, The old Riverfront Stadium for both baseball/football, Golfers, The 18th@Augusta, Specific Drs., Nurses, Vets, Dentists, and their staff, Easter, Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Christmas, New Years, St. Patrick’s Day, Special Birthdays, July 4th/Labor Day Parties and I am sure a lot I have forgotten. But they were always ordered, made, sent, and received with LOVE and it doesn’t get much better than that! As always, Judy, Navy Junior, Walz. So Unilocalers, get over to Cookies By Design on Kenwood Rd in Blue Ash and order them for your special occasions. Ask for the Cinnamon Cookies, as I personally think they are the best! ANDENJOY!

I walked into this tiny little candy-colored shop and was immediately being stared down by Winnie the Pooh. Oh, it’s on bear! On closer look though, I realized it wasn’t just Winnie — it was an edible Winnie. An edible cookie Winnie! This shocked me. It looked like a drawing, but in fact, had been done with frosting and sugar. That blew me away Usually, cookie companies that do designs end up making things that look like wax plastic on top of a cookie or come up with a creation that sort-of looks like what they’re going for(«yeah … I guess that could be Spider-Man. It is red and black after all,) but not here. They nail it with designs that look just like they’re supposed to. It’s an art. They also have a wickedly dark sense of humor, with an arrangement of funeral cookies behind the counter, which actually made me laugh. Little graves and sad people and dead people with ‘X’s over their eyes, all on cookies. I’m not sure anyone would ever buy those for a real funeral, but amusing all the same. The cookies are baked fresh in the store and the same I tried was pretty good. Nothing amazing, blown away, style of dessert, but they’re going for more visual than edible, and on that front, they nailed it. The prices are pretty much what you’d expect them to be — higher than your average bunch of cookies, and maybe even too high for expertly designed cookies. Still, it was a cute little shop and I’d be willing to try them out for my cookie party needs.
