Only buy from Cowans auction in person on site so you can check out the item. Don’t buy ON LINE. Shipping charges are horrid. An item that had a hammer price of eighty bucks came to OVER 200 dollars with packing and shipping charges. No other auction house has charged me over 25 to 30 dollars for similar size items. Oh and an up charge of 2% for a credit card !!! For shame !,

Members of the Cowan’s team are there to answer any questions you have and pick up an auction catalog plus enjoying some wonderful food and beverage courtesy of Funky’s Catering.
I attended the Fine Jewelry preview event to check out the Art Smith pieces they were auctioning off, a beautiful pair of sterling earrings, necklace, garnet ring, brooch, and contemporary pin. When you attend a preview event you’re able to check out the items the night before the auction and try them on if you would like.
Each auction is different and has a different buyer’s premium, I’m interested in attending future events to see what unique items are in store to add to my collection.
