The pizza at Delicio is pretty good, the beer selection is half decent, and service is usually fine. My favorite menu items are the coal-fired wings with sweet red chili sauce and brezels and dip(fire-roasted tomato sauce), which is interesting considering it’s a pizza place. But I’m telling you, the starters I’ve had in the few times I’ve been are great. I could easily come here for happy hour to get a drink and apps and be totally satisfied. And now that there is a location open closer to home, I can see that happening more often. While I’m not in love with the pizza(or wouldn’t necessarily come here just for it), Delicio is a solid restaurant with good food and decent drinks.

I attempted to dine here last night and by attempt I mean we eventually had to leave because our waiter either completely forgot we existed or couldn’t be bothered to return to our table after gathering our drink orders. When the waiter introduced himself he wasn’t especially friendly but that didn’t particularly bother me. However after my table had ordered 2 sodas and a water he never returned. We waited for about 35 minutes before we left. It is also worth noting that nobody acknowledged us as we left.

I really wanted to like this place. The Margherita pizza’s sauce tasted like a frozen pizza. The Pulcinella was better but so loaded with cheese it felt like too much. but not in a good way. The Pop Shop redeemed the outing. Key Lime covered in white chocolate and graham crumbs. Tasted great. I’ll stick with Dewey’s or A Tavola and drive over and grab a pop for dessert

The pizza is good here but I wish they’d figure out a way to cook it without burning the outer crust. Even with the blackened crust this is still a better pizza than what I had at A Tavola a few nights ago. I had a salad that was very fresh and I skipped the ranch dressing and just topped it with the balsamic glaze it comes with which I think was a good choice. The service was quick enough but I was there around 3 which was not a busy time.

Very nice atmosphere. The problem with this place is there’s much better places for pizza. Everyone has their own list. Stellar: The papadew pepper app. Really Good: The Pizza. Could have been better: The Wings The Ceasar Salad

This is the 2nd and last time we will be eating here. Its unanimous that the service is horrible and management doesn’t care. Some good experience but overall thumbs down. Hostess and servers have a very unfriendly attitude. The service was extremely slow and when we complained about several issues, the server apologized but never fixed the situation. Pizza was good but not stellar. Greek salad was very good. We actually got up at one point and asked to speak to a manager to tell him our issues. He apologized but really didn’t seem overly concerned. One would think he would have stopped by our table later to check in our meal. Nope. He was nowhere to be found. Our server told us he comp’d our appetizer and one pizza which was very nice of him but it would have been better if he actually told us that himself and checked on us into our meal. Take some pride in your restaurant and show you value your customers. Based on several Unilocal reviews, service seems to be a big outage. And I have yet to see anyone from this restaurant comment on issues posted here. That speaks volumes to me… and is consistent with our bad experience. I’ll stick with Dewey’s pizza where they have great pizza and actually value their customers. Or Italianette, Pomodoris or Brooklyn Pizza.

Overall: A new pizza place serving thin crust, coal fired pizza. The restaurant’s one redeeming quality was the phenomenal playlist, but the pizza and service were very underwhelming. Service(1⁄5): We waited a full 30 minutes before a server came to even take our drink order. The server told us the wrong specials, which means we had to reorder our food. While the waitress tried to rush our order, it took 50 minutes to get our food and restaurant was not very crowded. Food(2⁄5): I tried the Black and Bleu and the pepperoni pizza. The Black and Bleu was pretty good, but the pepperoni was very bad(too oily and very thin crust). I would have rated higher, but the pizza was very overpriced for the quality and amount of food. Atmosphere(4⁄5): Definitely the best part of the place. Nice spacious patio and the music playlist was top notch. The music is the reason I didn’t give this restaurant a 1 star.

GREAT pizza. Have mostly been very pleased with our meal. Once our pizza was overly charred, but otherwise one of our faves!

Unexpected wonderful restaurant with gourmet pizza, sandwiches, unique cocktails, and Italian and Southwest influences. You could get a pizza(thin and chewy and baked on a coal-fired oven) with mac and cheese on it or a carnitas pizza plus many other specialty pizzas and build you own. There are roughly 5 sauce and 5 cheese choices with double the toppings(steak, kalamata olives, etc.) We got the pizza(6-slice standard) with 3 mushroom sauce, white cheddar and mozzarella blend, criminis and crispy bacon. Perfect mix of flavor and texture. The only thing I didn’t like was part of the bottom of the pizza was very charred to an unpleasant taste. There are many more things I want to try(meatball pizza, bretzels!) There are daily specials.

Delicio makes what I consider to be one of the best pizzas in Cincinnati, but I don’t think it going to be everyone’s cup of tea Three reasons for this 1) Their pizza is napolitan style. Like A Tavolas, in that sense, so if you like A Tavola’s pies, you’ll probably like these as well. This style is still relatively new in Cincinnati and may take some getting used to, particularly the charring(I like to call it leopard-spotting) of the crust that is inherent to this style and in particular to pies cooked in coal-fired ovens like they use here 2) The sauce is much milder, thinner, and less sweet than what most Cincinnatians are used to 3) The pies come in only one size(about 10″-11″), which is also typical for the napolitan style, but again, not something the typical Cincinnatian is used to Once one gets beyond all that, and gives the pizza here a try with an open mind, I think most folks will like it The pies here are a little expensive, so to save some money, go there on Tuesday and get the daily special, which is only 10 bucks. This robs you of the choice of what topping(s) you’ll be getting, but does save you some cash. I’ve tried one of their sandwiches — the meatball — and I did not think it was nearly as good. The entryway takes you through«The Pop Shop» which is a fancy ice pop and gelato joint. The owner owns both places. If you’re getting carryout at Delicio, you place your order at the Pop Shop. Yes, it’s weird, but thats how it works :-) There is a nice patio for outdoor dining when the weather is nice There is plenty of parking, and they even reserve a few spots near the front door for carryout customers, which I(the king of carryout) appreciate greatly :-) Recommended

The food was good, but the service was terrible. The restaurant is set up to serve 4 tops. They have 1 large table and 2−6tops. We came in at 5:30 with a family of 5 and the hostesses couldn’t figure out where to sit us at. We had to squeeze in at at a 4 top. The waitress took forever to get refills. She only checked on our table minimally — constantly waiting or asking for refills. We had to ask for our check. We commented how unfriendly the entire staff was. Pizza was good, but the plastic trays they are brought out on cause the crust to get soggy. Coal fired pizza is great when the crust stays crispy. We had high hopes but were left extremely unimpressed, mostly by the arrogance and inattentiveness of the staff. Also didn’t like the set up of the restaurant for parties larger than 5.

The pizza and the atmosphere is amazing a great place to sit out side to enjoy a coal fired pizza. The pretzels look good but are flavor less. The dipping sauce is very good. Meatballs are worth a try.

Horrendous and apathetic service. Only part of our food order arrived and we were told the rest would be right out. Ten minutes later we had to ask for the rest of our order. No apology or even anything from the server. Drinks were not refilled. The food is good but the service is so so so bad. A manager apologized to the table behind us who had a similarly bad experience. 3÷20÷16. Oh, and to top it off, the pop shop had no one working the counter as we left so forget about getting that for dessert.

Delicio makes some pretty damn good pizza. I went with the girlfriend on a Saturday for lunch. Surprisingly it wasn’t very busy, so we were sat right away and had drinks quickly. After looking over the menu we decided to get a small pizza and wings to split. This was a lot of food. For the pizza we got half mac and cheese and half black and bleu. Both were delicious. The mac and cheese is exactly what you’d expect it to be, cheesy carbs on carbs, whats not to like. The black and bleu was really amazing. Thinly sliced steak, onions, and spinach, with a few different cheeses, and a balsamic glaze drizzle to top it off. It was really good. The crust was nice and thin and crispy with a nice char. Don’t worry if your pizza has some dark spots, they are what makes coal/wood fire oven pizzas the best. The wings were also very good, but different then typical wings. They cook them in the coal fired oven so they roasted and crispy, not fried. Then they toss them in a sweet and spicy chili glaze, so freaking good. I would definitely order these again. also they have a pretty solid beer list. Some of the other pizzas caught my eye, so I will definitely be back in the future to try more.

This pizza got me Coal Fired up! We found this hidden gem on Unilocal and decided to try it out. We ordered a few items to try and found it to be pretty damn good. The Mac and Cheese pizza was by far the best thing we had! It was super good! Their regular sauce was also very good and even better with the meatballs. The wings were good but I wouldn’t get them again, the flavor wasn’t something I will crave. They have a great selection of beers on tap and the bar is trendy, dark and cool looking. Make it a great spot for a date night! And just try to leave without getting something from the Pop shop next door haha good luck !

The good: the atmosphere is pretty cool. It is open with many windows and you can actually watch the chefs hand toss the pizza dough. The setting has somewhat of a seasons 52 meets chipotle décor. We ordered the Brezels as an appetizer which came with a chili cheese sauce and red sauce. I had the create your own pizza and my fiancé ordered the California. Both her pizza and mine were delicious. I had grilled chicken, red onion, and mushrooms for topping as well as sharp cheddar cheese. I can’t decide which was better because they were both delicious in their own right. I love wood fired/artisan pizza places and I hadn’t heard of this place until it popped up on my NoWait app when we were looking for a secondary dinner option when we figured out Cheesecake Factory had a 2 hour wait and it didn’t disappoint. They also have a patio which would be a nice place to eat when the weather is warmer. The restaurant is attached to a dessert shop which we might have to try on our way out. All in all the choices were pretty good for the create your own and the menu options for the other pizzas were pretty good as well. As far as the size of the pizzas go, for the vast majority of people the pizza could fill two people with small stomachs but for me I had to have one to myself and then a piece of my fiancé’s as well to almost feel full. The bad: the wait staff. Our waiter may have been busy juggling a bunch of tables, I’m not sure but he was a little slow with our drink orders but it’s something we shrugged off because it’s a Saturday night and they are kind of busy. All in all the food was great, I’d happily come back.

You would think a place whose specialty is pizza would actually have good pizza; however, that’s not the case with Delicio. Let’s just say their pizza is less than delicious… much less. The BF and I went here one night with my parents, who had eaten here before and liked it. Of course, only my parents would go to a pizza place and not actually order the pizza. They ordered sandwiches, which is what they had on a prior visit. The BF and I were the ones who each ordered a pizza and neither of us liked it. In fact, the BF found his pepperoni pizza to be almost inedible. I ordered the margherita pizza, despite finding the description on the menu pretentious. They used fresh basil, but put whole leaves and did not have enough to cover each piece of pizza. I mean, isn’t the point to have toppings on ALL the pieces of pizza? The atmosphere inside was unpleasant. A cold, cavernous sports bar type feel, which is not the kind of vibe I look for at a sit-down pizza place. The service was less than stellar with our server going MIA at one point as we waited for an extended period to cash out. While my parents may be going back here, I won’t.

I thoroughly enjoyed dinner at Delicio last night, and I cannot believe that this place is rated so low! My boyfriend suggested this place and I was initially hesitant because of the bad reviews, but I’m glad that I was persuaded to go. We arrived in the early evening to hopefully catch some college football action, and it was surprisingly really busy. We luckily were seated right away and started off with the coal fire wings and bretzels. We went with the sweet red chili baste for the wings, and they were so delicious! They are cooked in the coal fire oven, and this lent a fantastic char. The sauce was good, but I wish they offered a traditional hot or buffalo sauce. If they offered a spicier option, this would be our go-to spot for wings in town! The bretzels were bread sticks shaped like pretzels and were pretty good. The dipping sauces – chili queso and house marinara sauces – made this dish. Please splurge and pay extra for the queso dip; you won’t regret it. Since this is a fire oven pizza with thin crust, we went simple and ordered the pepperoni pizza. There is only one size of pizza here(12 inches) and it’s enough to feed 2(or 1 if you have a humongous appetite and don’t get any starters). I feel that with this style of pizza, less is more. The pizza was saucier and cheesier than I expected, and the pepperoni had a nice sear to them. The crust had a nice crisp as well. We were very pleased with our meal. The place is spacious with big windows, allowing a view of old Montgomery. It’s a casual space and good for families, meeting up with friends, or watching games(pretty good television coverage here). Our server was attentive, and we had great service. I thought the price was fair for the quality of food as well. 10 wings for like $ 8 – 9? 20 wings are $ 14 – 15. The pizzas ranged from like $ 13 – 17, depending on how fancy you get with toppings. Delicio is one of my favorite places in town now and can’t recommend it enough.

For me and a number of others, hands down the best pizza in Cincinnati. It is thin crust, coal fired. Really fresh ingredients. Super fresh salads and I believe in house dressings. The wine list works for us. Good selection without being too overpriced. Full bar too with plenty of beers. We’ve had every pizza they offer. Prefer the non meat ones but that’s us. Meat ones are good too. Appetizers are all tasty. Yes we eat here too often. By the way the wings are great.

Here’s a time when I wish that Unilocal offered half ratings. This is really a 3.5. The highlights: –service was good. This is our second visit and we enjoyed our server both times. –the meatballs and brezels were excellent. –beer selection is outstanding. –pizza is just okay. It’s edible, but Deweys clearly wins. –prices are a tad bit high. –despite being listed on the no wait app, the hostess had no clue. The manager said they weren’t supposed to be on there.
