Eddie Bauer

This store is a great outdoors store. Overall I’m a big fan and will continue to support Eddie Bauer for most of their products.
The Good:
Great clothing line! Everything is well made and if something fails they have a 100% guarantee. I like how the hiking gear fits and the comfort level while hiking or camping. The water proof items are true. Went to wash my pants and they were submerged and pulled them out and water beaded off them.
The sales are ridiculous! They actually discount stuff and you can get products on a steal.
The Bad:
No product knowledge!!! I called the store to inquire about a tent. I’m currently researching a good backpacking tent and put the stargazer 2 in the running. But no one can seem to give me info on the tent. I was told to call the 1 800 number…2 people later still no product knowledge! If you’re going to crack the outdoors scene you better be able to talk your product up against he competitors. Now the stargazer is out of my running. Take some pride in learning about the market you’re in and what your competitors have versus what you have. I’m very disappointed in these interactions.
Overall I graciously gave a 4 star. It should of maybe been lower but I like the quality of their clothing line and the fact that they stand by their quality. Hopefully someone reads this that can make a change in the training of the employees and get them some product knowledge. They just lost a big sale on a tent and down sleeping bag because of it. Come on Eddie Bauer step up your game!
