Fancy Nails

I was looking for a convenient way to get my nails done near where I usually shop for groceries and I could go to this place as a regular. I found Fancy Nails on Unilocal,but I took a risk since there were NO reviews for this place at all. I called ahead to see their hours on Saturdays and they said they were going to be open until 6pm that evening.
This place is situated on Winton Rd, which is always busy. It’s tucked in a strip mall area with other stores nearby. It looked a little dingy, but I was not the type to judge a book by its cover.
It was 12:45pm when I walked up to the door… saw a bunch of signs saying their hours and different flyers. I was puzzled to see one say in broken English «No acrylic nails at 3:30pm». I racked my brain to understand what that meant… no acrylic nails until 3:30pm or were they out of the acrylic powder for the day? I figured I’d ask the owner or the manager… but lo and behold, the door was LOCKED. I looked inside and there were women in there getting pedis and manis. I waved at an employee and they completely ignored me. I walked off in a huff.
NEVER coming by here again… who the heck locks their door during business hours?! I would understand if it was reserved for a bridal party, but they could have courteously posted that on their door in midst of their mess of flyers saying «Sorry, we have a wedding party reservation, please come back at this XX hour.» or had someone come to the door and explain why their business wasn’t «open».
