FedEx Ship Center

I have been home all day. I am not a business, I am retired. This is the fourth time products have not been delivered with this same excuse. Just a lazy ass driver who doesn't want to do his job.

I am currently engaged, and my fiancée and I have been receiving wedding presents already. Most come from USPS, but we received something from FEDEX (the Paddock Rd location specifically), and the delivery guy THREW the package on to our second floor balcony. Although our apartment is ground level, the balcony where we found our package is on the second floor. Laziness at it’s best.

A great no nonsense place to ship via FedEx. Great staff and they move fast so I rarely wait long even if the lobby is full when I get there. Also, I’ve always been able to park right next to the entrance. Automatic door to boot that brings this up to five stars — the FedEx «office» close to my house doesn’t even have one!

I only went here once, but my friend said his business constantly went here many times, as it was the last FedEx center to be open for the day.
We went pretty close to closing time; the person behind the desk was friendly and polite. Got our packages shipped promptly. My friend said that they would open the doors to take their packages (Which were pre-​paid for, etc) even after it was closed for a few minutes, so their packages could get out that night. That is pretty friendly of them.

In the near future, I’m making a pretty serious life change and moving to England. Most of my stuff is going straight into storage, but I’d like a little of it for, you know, living and sentimental values.
Turns out FedEx understands the need to ship things … or so I thought.
On their website they talk about flat-​right international boxes. You fill it, it’s under 50lbs and it’s a set price (and actually 40% off trying to ship something normally through them to England.) And they’re free too. Saves you money and guesswork for cost. Love it.
I went to a FedEx/​Kinkos office near my house to get one of these boxes. Nope! Turns out they’re only at real FedEx shipping centers and the FedEx Office is different. I had to drive 15 more minutes to this shipping center to get them. Annoying, FedEx, since on your website it says I can go to any FedEx Center to go pick them up. But fine, I will.
So I drive to this FedEx center and there’s one woman working behind the counter.
«Can I help you?» she asks.
«Yeah, hi. I’m looking for a few of your flat-​rate boxes for shipping,» I tell her.
«We don’t do flat-​rate,» she says. «That’s the post office.»
«No, the ones here, on your website,» I say, showing her the FedEx Website.
«No, you’re wrong. We don’t do flat rate!» She tells me.
«Are you sure? Because your website says you do,» I tell her.
She gives me an angry glare and goes, «I’ll ask in the back.»
She walks to the back and I can hear here conversation.
«There’s a man out there who wants flat rate boxes, but I told him we don’t do that,» she says to a co-​worker I can’t see, who responds.
«Yeah, unless he wants the international ones,» she says. Yep, those are the ones. I call out to tell her that those are what I’m looking for and he co-​worker says she’ll go to find it.
The woman walks back and gives me another horrible glare.
«You didn’t say it was international,» she told me. True, but you didn’t really give me a chance before jumping down my throat.
Her co-​worker calls from the back and asks how many I want. She doesn’t even look at me when she goes, «I don’t know, he didn’t tell me.» What? I’m right here! Ask me?
«Two,» I say. The woman goes into the back, gets them and puts them down on the counter. I take them, thank her, and leave.
And so, my third one star review ever. I only give one-​star reviews if the service is awful AND I’m given attitude about it. Check and check. You suck FedEx that I first had to drive to two stores to get these boxes and then suck even more for not training your employees about them (and hiring horrible people.) Basically, you are one-​star terrible.

Elites save 20% too! Okay, back on track. Apparently my package required an adult signature and since I work, there was no way I would be able to sign for it. Thus, I had them hold it at this Ship Center and had to go out of my way. I couldn’t change the delivery address so that wasn’t an option. Fortunately a cool coworker chauffeured me to this place and I was finally able to pick up my package.
The location is nice, right off the highway and easily seen from the intersection. Parking was easy and right in front of the entrance. The lady at the counter was friendly and quick to locate my package. I did have to show ID and all that, so make sure you have all the required info or you might not walk out with your package. There are plenty of boxes and other shipping supplies for sale as well.
