You guys, it took me approx. 2.5 years of working downtown to finally check this place out, and it took my sister-in-law from WISCONSIN to get me to go! It has the feel of Fusian to me in terms of simplicity and style of the restaurant, but without the sushi part. They have the freshest ingredients(hence the name), and I am already in love with the Mediterranean bowl — it’s got the perfect mix of quinoa and lettuce, with a heaping amount of veggies. It tasted like I was eating a garden! I wouldn’t recommend dining in, since the seating area is pretty small(5 tables, tops), but it’s close enough to Fountain Square that you can enjoy it at their outdoors tables, and central enough to most downtown offices that you can bring it back to your desk like I did.

I was pretty happy with Freshii! Stopped in and got a quinoa bowl and it was tasty! The service was pretty fast, and they have a good range of options to choose from! One downside is that those places always make me feel rushed when at the bar and you have to choose something right away. I want to go back to try something new, but I was satisfied with my first experience!

Tucked away inside the Westin lobby is this little breath of «fresh» air!(get it?) :P Freshii is a great lunch spot, a pick your own healthy alternative to many of the usual midday food-coma inducing lunch options. They have bowl, burrito, salad and wrap options of a «create your own» style. I had a predetermined bowl(Pangoa) and my friend created his own burrito. The ingredients taste fresh and the food is pretty good, exactly what you want it to be, really. The atmosphere is mostly quiet, there are a few tables and chairs, and then a bar style seating area. I took home leftovers that were still delicious the next day! I’m intrigued by their fro-yo, smoothies and breakfast options as well. I think that’s next on the list :)

Great fresh healthy choices and great prices. We got teriyaki bowls and our friend got a wrap wrapped in kale. The service was great and the veggies were all raw. Freshii please come to Boise, Idaho!

Good olé Freshii… This is definitely one of the best places downtown to get a fresh salad, wrap or smoothie. In my opinion, they’re a tad bit pricey so this is not the place to go if you’re on a tight budget. Although they can be a bit pricey, the portion sizes are great. Tip: This place closes early, so get there early if you can. For lunch time, the best time to get there is around 11:45. My friends and I went around that time and had no wait. We sat inside of Freshii and had our meal and watched the crowd grow quickly around the 12:00 hour. Overall, Freshii is good stuff! They definitely live up to their name.

Great option for healthier lunches. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you want something customized just ask. Inside seating is limited but ok. Music a little loud but nothing offensive. Try it!

Have to say I’ve been pleasantly surprised by Freshii’s options and the overall taste of the food. It’s great that the bowls are so customizable. The flavor options are great — there may be a bit of an asian overarching theme in that they offer sriracha based hotsauce, teriyaki, and peanut sauce, but there are other options as well. Freshii’s options are also relatively healthy. Especially when you can get a donut grilled cheese across the street, Freshii does present a nice alternative. It’s quite a large bit of food for a reasonable price and reasonable nutrition impact. Bottom line, I’ve been back a few times now and would continue to return.

This place was my go-to lunch spot whenever I was in Cincy. It is a healthy alternative to most of the other options in the area. They have a greater variety of salad components than Ingredients which is right around the corner. I liked having the Baja Salad with sriracha as a burrito. Give this place a shot… kale isn’t THAT terrifying.

I used to hate on this place so much. I saw that they served kale, and I wrote it off completely. However, the boyfriend and I have been on health food kick lately, and I’ve quickly educated myself on how terrible most food is for you. Since then, I’ve been modifying my food habits to get a bit more nutrition out of my meals. I’ve learned though that you don’t have to eat flavorless, unsatisfying food in order to eat healthy. Freshii is an excellent example of that. Freshii has such a great selection of wraps, salads, and soups. And if you don’t like what’s on the menu, just build it yourself! I particularly like that they put goat cheese on a lot of their salads. Since getting into Freshii a few months ago, I have made it my goal to eat everything on the menu. I’ve been making good progress and have yet to eat something I do not like. They currently have a falafel special that I’ve been hooked on so I have to admit I haven’t moved off that for a bit, but I always find that they have a unique selection for even the pickiest of eaters. They also have awesome service. The girl who works the counter is so sweet, and she quickly learned my name and always remembers what I ordered the last time I came in. Give this place a try. It’s honestly comparably priced to Ingredients or Chipotle but offers much fresher ingredients. Be aware though that they get busy at lunch so try to hit it early or a little later. Otherwise, you’ll be waiting for a second. Happy eating!

This place is hidden – across the street from Tom + Chee. Healthy options abound on the menu. You can select one of their salads, soups, and rice bowls or create your own. I find the ingredients somewhat fresher than most salad joints, including Ingredients, which is in the same building(the Westin). I enjoyed the Kale Effect. The peanut sauce is delish, and they give you a ton of rice. The last time I created my own and opted for the lemongrass sauce. It was very spicy and garlicky. I had a difficult afternoon at work. Not much room to sit. It’s more of a grab-and-go place. I would suggest getting your order and walking through the building towards Ingredients in the central lobby – plenty of seats there.

Freshii is my go-to place for a hearty, healthy lunch minus the food coma. They serve ready-made salads, soups, bowls, wraps, and froyo; you can also make your own. The downsides are: their slightly steep prices and limited seating. If you hate standing in line, come by for late lunch, around 1pm onwards. I frequent this place whenever I’m in need of a delectable meal without the guilt!

My new favorite lunch place! I was looking for a healthy lunch option downtown beside the usual boring salad places, Freshii hits the spot. You can choose your base and whatever other toppings your heart desires.

I love Freshii. This is my go-to spot if I want a healthy, not too pricey but sort of expensive lunch. This is similar to Chipotle and its many spin-offs but this is actually a place I’d choose instead of Chipotle on occassion. Freshii has many different options for bowls, burritos and salads. They range from your classic burrito to Asian-inspired(Oriental AND South Asian) to Americana(a la Buffalo or Tex-Mex). Note: Proteins cost extra. Their offerings include tofu, chicken, steak and shrimp. I am a creature of habit and enamored with their Mediterranean bowl + chicken. I love their mix of brown rice and quinoa with plenty of fresh veggies and feta cheese. This will set you back just under $ 9. The staff are tremendously welcoming. Time for a confession… The food here is great but what really convinced me to come back was their staff. Not only are they friendly, when I mentioned during my first visit about my mild allergy to almonds — the cashier personally made sure there were absolutely no almonds in my Mediterranean bowl and also suggested a change in the sauce(from red pepper to a balsalmic vinaigrette, just to make sure I wouldn’t have any reaction)! He was just so nice, caring and pleasant to encounter. Also, if you visit Freshii for lunch on Fridays, you can come back between 2−3pm for free frozen yogurt. Ahh, free ice cream. Freshii knows their way into a girl’s heart.

I had seen one of these places up in Chicago a year ago and then I heard they opened one up downtown but sadly I never really get downtown and finally I got to try Freshii and it did not disappoint! I love tofu and to have a restaurant that has tofu and all fresh ingredients makes me happy! Freshii has salads and wraps you can choose any ingredient you want and any dressing you want. I highly recommend!!!

I love having healthy lunch opportunities downtown, but sometimes the premium price is too much. The food was absolutely amazing. I got the Thai Lemongrass Burrito and it was the best thing I’ve eaten in quite a while. I like that they use brown rice when they are making the burrito, so it satiates you longer than the usual white rice burrito. There was an amazing Thai Lemongrass dressing that really made the burrito. I added the sriracha that was on the condiment bar and it was the perfect balance of hot and sweet, I did find it amusing that they asked if I wanted to add protein(on option being tofu) to my burrito that came with edamame. I chose not to, figuring once serving of soy bean was enough for any meal. So, is it worth the price? Well, no. If I really wanted to eat healthy, there are wonderful places downtown to get salads. If I want to eat a burrito, well, there are lots of those places too. This is a nice occasional indulgence when you don’t want to eat at one of those other chain burrito places, or want to spend a bit more on a «fancier» lunch. One last thing, plan on getting it to go. There’s not much seating in this place.

In a sea of sandwich and burrito joints and chili parlors, I’m always hoping for healthier downtown dining options at lunchtime. On paper, Freshii, a chain that originated in Toronto, ought to totally fit the bill. And the«paper» I’m referring to is Freshii’s menu, which lists an international smörgåsbord of nutritious eating: a variety of salads, bowls, and burritos drawn from different cuisines and featuring lots of dark baby greens, fresh veggies, brown rice, black beans, and mostly leaner proteins. So Freshii’s all right. Veggies, and the salads, seem very fresh, and that’s probably the main reason you come here. But the salads, if decent enough, are kinda small and just thrown-together. The other stuff is probably less enticing. The«bowl» I tried – a Thai noodle knock-off of some sort – seemed about two notches above a Lean Cuisine entrée in quality and interest. A burrito seemed healthier than those offered by say, Chipotle or Currito, but also considerably less tasty. And the pre-prepped proteins seem warmed-over and blah, virtually unseasoned and barely detectable as flavors in the items in which they appear. One problem is that Ingredients is just a bowling ball’s roll down the way inside the U.S. Bank/Westin building. Ingredients’s salads are at least as palatable as Freshiii’s, and you get quite a bit more bang for your buck, and more options. No complaints about the way this location is operated. Staff has been more friendly and efficient than you can generally expect in a take-out place this casual. But despite Freshii’s slick and ultra-modern appearabnce, the place gives off a kind of mall-food-court or airport dining ambience, and there’s a been-there, done-that feel to the whole enterprise. That’s just Freshii, the brand… Freshii’s a nice option to have downtown, but Dan M. has it right in saying that it’s not much to get excited about. UPDATE(7⁄13): By the fast-food standards governing a place like Freshii, the kale caesar salad is a winner. If I discover that a few more like this are lurking in the menu, I’ll consider a bump-up…

Freshii is sort of like a Chipotle without a Mexican identity. Choose whatever ingredients you want and they assemble it for you. It’s not really anything to get excited about though. Bottom Line: I could take it or leave it.

Freshii has a lot of downtown competition for lunchtime dining dollars, but if it keeps doing what it is doing it will hopefully see off quite a few of its opponents. Located on the Walnut Street side of the US Bank Tower it is admittedly not a huge dining space but we all know sometimes the best things come in small packages! It offers up *gasp, shock, horror* healthy eating options … and plenty of them. Rice, beans, protein, greens, cheeses and lots of fruits, nuts and veggies(a.k.a. ‘proper food’ as my Mum called it) can all be combined into either pre-designed choices or something your own taste buds have a hankering for. What’s more is that you can have that choice in the form of a salad, a wrap, a burrito or a bowl. Soups and(absolutely delicious) frozen yogurt can complete what will become a three course meal — for lunch! Since their opening I have worked through several of their designed options and can safely state that none disappointed. The most impressive of the bunch — for me — was the Teriyaki Twist(brown rice topped with broccoli, carrots, edamame, cucumber, green onions, sesame, crispy wontons and teriyaki sauce), served in a bowl with chicken and(on the day of my visit) offered for a bargain $ 6. A fantastic mélange of taste and far more filling than initially imagined. Its rather siilly name asiide I have no reason than to enthusiiastiically recommend Freshii to all of Ciinciinnatii’s whiite-collared cube dwellers and offiice drones.

This may become one of my new favorite lunch spots. Having been here for the first time today I really can’t think of anything I didn’t like. The lunch options are all healthy, but oh so delicious. I ordered the Ninja, which has edamame, carrots, cucumbers, cilantro, crispy wontons(CRISPYWONTONS! delicious) and peanuts on top of romaine, spinash and shredded cabbage served with Asian sesame dressing. What’s there not to like? I was starving before, but the salad was just enormous, I did all I could but really, there was no way to finish it! My friends got a wrap and a bowl and both loved their lunches too. We all got a different tea from the fresh tea machine(only $ 1 for a refill cup) and thought this was a great idea. The tea I tried with lemon was really sweet which I loved but it did make me wonder just how healthy it was. Oh well, the salad definitely was! The music that was playing was upbeat and sunny, the staff friendly(I love how they ask your name and then call you), the food freshii and me very happy!

A new gigantic salad place within walking distance? Yes, please! Freshii provides fresh and nutritious meal choices that energize people on the go. Ingredients they use include what we should eat more of: fiber-rich, slow-burning carbs, essential fats and lean proteins. In other words: kale, broccoli, chick peas, apples, olives, fruit, brown rice, and so much more. Serving more than just salads, Freshii offers burritos, rice and noodle bowls, soups, breakfasts, and even frozen yogurt. Trying to avoid selling sodas, they have a self-serve tap with six different natural teas. What an awesome idea! I had The Ivy: a giant salad with chicken, avocado, corn, cucumbers, tomatoes, jack and white cheddar cheese, topped with ranch dressing and BBQ sauce. It was flavorful and just the right portion size to leave me satisfied and full. The staff here was friendly as well and helped me with the menu. They have a lot of options so reading the signs can be intimidating. Instead, read one of their paper menus. It’s more organized and led me to order my incredible salad. Freshii is located on the Walnut Street side of the US Bank building across from Fountain Square. It was a little hard to find since the main entrance is inside the office complex, but once you’re there you’ll be coming back with ease. Price per person: $ 8.00
