This is our favorite Frischs. We typically get the salad bar. The bar is as close to 100% satisfaction as a diner salad bar can be. It’s always fun to try a different dressing and it was here that I discovered Russian dressing(whatever it is) is sweet, tangy, and yummy. I never get the vegetable soup because it’s kinda bland but most of their soup of the week on the salad bar is amazing. There’s a chicken tortilla and also a black bean soup that I can not get enough of! We also generally have good waitresses here and good experiences with the service. This is also a large venue so even when it’s packed it doesn’t feel overly crowded.

I don’t give low reviews lightly, especially to a Frisch’s of all places. I LOVE Frisch’s and when I lived down south I missed it pretty bad! So why, the low rating of this one then? Well when we walked in we were seated right away, and there were only a handful of tables. We started out with one server who took our drink order, and then we waited, and waited… and saw our server cleaning off tables and talking to another co worker laughing and joking around. After about 15 minutes with no explanation another server brings our drinks over and asks to take our order. She doesn’t introduce herself, and after she takes our order we wait for our food for quite some time. This isn’t the norm at Frisch’s and I was getting frustrated with each minute that passed. It was so bad, I was literally watching the clock and telling myself that I was going to speak to a manager if our food wasn’t there in 5 more minutes. This was after waiting another 20 minutes… when our food came out, it was gross and very chewy(country fried steak, and the chicken comfort bowl.) She didn’t come over to check on us, and we didn’t get any refills. By this time I was so aggravated I just wanted my check, and that would have been that. But, our server walked a row over from us about 3 times, glanced at us and just kept going. After another 15 minutes I’d had enough and I went to get the manager so I could get the bill and get out of there. He could tell I was incredibly frustrated, and he asked why. I explained my dissatisfaction and he took my meal off for me. I thanked him profusely and he apologized profusely. There are other locations that are nearby and honestly I don’t see the need to ever return to this one.
