Whoever was running the drive thru around 10:41am today is a complete ass, got irritated because extra Tarter Sauce was wanted for some fries. Think her name Qsahhahrah. Don’t get me wrong the food great but this individual sucked

So we all know the food we get from a drive thru is, generally, at best, a crap shoot. My rule from here on out, especially THIS drive thru, if I ever use it again is to sit there and check the order, given what happened next & company policy. My order was a «grilled cheese» with tomato and bacon. I got: 2 pieces of dry toast, & stacked inside, 1 slice of ice cold, unmelted, processed cheese, 1 small slice of cold tomato, 2 slices cold bacon. No melting. Everything completely cold. No butter or so-called grilling of said«grilled cheese.» Just separate items laid together. This was a care package dropped off to me, along with soup, as I was home sick. And, as a side note, the battery in my car was dead. When I called the manager to tell him the $ 4+ sandwich was 2 pieces of toast, unmelted, ice cold cheese, etc., he said I would have to bring it in for him to look at before they would make me a new one or give a sandwich credit.(And he would talk to the cook to make sure she knew how to make a grilled cheese.) Food, epic fail. Customer service, epic fail. Drive thru, epic fail. Customer retention, epic, epic fail.

Coming from the UK, Frischs reminds me of Wimpy — it was probably a big deal about 20 years ago, but it has stood still where others have rushed past it in terms of quality and innovation. That said, their burgers are pretty good, with their signature tartar sauce being tasty. Service was at the brusque end of friendly, but the prices are good and it was over mercifully quickly. I wouldn’t hurry back, but it is a local institution ticked off the list.

They have the slowest drive thru in town. It took me 15 to get food and they forgot the fries and I had to go thru drive thru again. Uggg. Don’t go here if you are in a hurry!

Went to Frisch’s MainLiner again after a good 5 year hiatus. Was hungry & wanted the good ol’ Breakfast Bar. Now I remember why I don’t frequent Frisch’s. Food is just God awful. Service is good. See you in 5 years. Maybe

Awful location. Dining is slow, drive-thru is slow. My order is almost always incorrect, even though I do not order it with any substitutions. No matter what my cashier is always so rude, it doesn’t matter how polite I am in return. I ordered a big boy and it had one beef patty on it… Craziness at this location.

On days when it’s really busy, the food is fresh, hot, and delicious. But when it’s not busy, the food will sit there and dry out. Today is Saturday, and it’s busy here. The food was good. But when we first walked in, it took forever for someone to greet us. The big guy who looks like a manager and wears a headset looked at us a few times and did other stuff before finally coming over to seat us. Hardly anyone here smiles. It was awkward. I saw two employees here smile: an older white lady with short hair and glasses(I just saw her name is Susan!); and a young black girl with nice makeup and slick black hair with a bit of red in it. THEY had fantastic smiles. Everyone else looked like they didn’t really want to be here. It made me ready to just leave. Our server was Amber. She wasn’t terrible but wasn’t the best. Didn’t ask for a single refill. She brought our check out super fast, which is nice. Problem is, I wanted another orange juice and she told me they charge for it and I’m just like, I still would like one. Every time she brought drinks(which we had to ask for every time), she just sets it down and walks away without a word. Feels super awkward. :(

Jonesing for a breakfast sandwich and out of eggs, I decided to finally try Frisch’s. I rolled up to the order intercom and asked for a bacon, egg and cheese. It was really difficult to hear what they were asking but eventually I determined they’d asked if I wanted cheese and I answered in the affirmative. When I got home, ready to nosh, the styrofoam opened to reveal a pathetic little sandwich devoid of cheese with two slices of non-buttered toast, a tiny fried egg and bits of crumbled bacon. The only edible bits were the two center bites of each half– otherwise it was just dry toast. I’m not sure if I got a sub-par sandwich because I couldn’t understand what they were asking or if they just don’t do breakfast well. I likely won’t be back to find out.

Brunch after Sunday Mass is always a treat at Frisch’s. I enjoy the goetta from the salad bar with sliced fruits on the side. Others on my party enjoyed chicken wrap. Thanks to waittress Mary for removing the beans from the chili for a special order from one of our party.

Love saddling up at the counter for a #1 breakfast. Always fast, always done perfectly and always reasonably priced. Forget those trendy, expensive breakfast places, all you need is the Mainliner. Oh, and the service is always exceptional and friendly as well. Great spot.

Typical Frischs. I only go for the sunday brunch buffet so I cant say much about the menu food. The brunch is typical buffet food, goetta, potatoes, eggs, sausage and onions, ect. It varies each time I go how often they bring fresh food out. The cherry cokes make it worth the visit!

My previous gripe about the drive-thru speaker has thankfully been fixed, and it is much easier to order/hear the people inside. Another plus at this visit was that once I received my food, I looked in the bag and noticed I’d gotten fries(I had ordered onion rings). I brought this to the attention of the guy working the window, and immediately there was an apology, and he grabbed an order of onion rings and he told me to just keep the fries. I’m sure he couldn’t have taken them back anyway, but it was nice to have the matter resolved so quickly. No need to ask a manager or whatever. He’d obviously been given the authority to solve this«problem» quickly with the thought of the customer in mind. Many places/chains would not have afforded him the ability to solve a simple problem with a simple solution, enhancing the customer’s experience. This happened @ roughly 7:45pm Monday, 4⁄21. Seems so simple, but it got me on my way much quicker than waiting for a manager/cracking the code of the cash register that could have happened.

Oh the Mainliner, with it’s whirring-airplane sign, self-referential marquee and iconic Big Boy statue. This is a destination Frisch’s. Although the restaurant has been around a long time, it’s been renovated(probably several times) and is quite nice. As for the food, my recommendation is to skip the breakfast buffet. Save money and eat higher-quality food. You’ll never go back to buffet pancakes once you’ve had the pancakes ordered off the menu. They have a satisfying, unusual texture like there is corn meal in the batter. And you can get them for like $ 3. And on Sundays, you can order goetta for your protein side item.

This is a VERY old Frisch’s. It is called the Mainliner. This is from Wikipedia«It was not until 1939 that expansion occurred with the opening of the Mainliner on Wooster Pike in Fairfax. Cincinnati’s first year-round drive-in, it was named after a passenger airplane flying overhead into nearby Lunken Airport.» They still have a little plane on the sign with propellers that spin! It is so cool. We like this location a lot. The staff is quick and helpful. The food is always hot and there are a lot of smiling faces here.

I have two words: Breakfast buffet. The service remained quick and friendly on this rare day that we needed a quick weekday brunch. Despite only a few patrons, the breakfast buffet was replenished a couple of times while we were there. The buffet had almost everything you want for breakfast: eggs, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, sausages/ham/bacon(including turkey sausage, yum!), pancakes, french toast, and fruit. All you can eat for just over $ 6 on weekdays and a bit more on the weekends, this is one of the best breakfast values in town. And if you leave hungry, it’s not their fault.

Big Boy with extra tartar sauce to dip my fries… my favorite! This place is definately a piece of Americana and must go.

This is the original Frisch’s opened in 1939. Come for the history. Stay for the hot fudge cake.
