a few years ago a salesman came out to our house. measured the windows and gave us an unbelievable price. we signed immediately. then a week passed and nothing. another week. still nothing. said they were processing it whatever that meant. this went on for a couple months. finally i get a call… we were told that he salesman really worked in the factory and they were trying to find something in the company that he could do? they admitted that he gave us an incorrect price… in fact mike gilkey himself came out to our house. to talk to us. yep the tan man that you see on TV… the price went from about 8000 to 30,000… they had no intention of honoring their price that they gave us in writing. im nota guy that likes to sue people so we let it go. but when i just seen one of his commercials and his smiling face on TV just now i thought i should write a review. after tossing him out of the house we called pella and love our new pella windows. but wasted about 2 – 3 months with gilkey before moving on … id say make sure you get it in writing from this company… but i had it in writing and mike gilkey stood right in my living room and said they cant honor that … so INWRITING means nothing to this company even when dealing with the owner …
