Golden Corral

I didn’t even get to my car in the parking lot when the food poisoning hit. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Save your stomach from the pain.

I drove pretty far to get this location… taking good advice from another Unilocaler. The food and service a lot better than my neighborhood GC. I will be back. As I type this I wish I had got a carryout to take home too.

A good place to grab a ton of inexpensive food. Quick and easy, great for larger groups or families, and overall a great selection of food. The staff was friendly, and our particular server was super polite and respectful. He called me sir haha. Oh, and the dessert bar is pretty great too!

After spending the day at King’s Island, my boyfriend and I decided it was time to get some grub. Rather than getting the typical amusement park food, we figured we’d take a stroll on the main drag and see what was available to cure our hunger. We typed in «buffet» here on Unilocal and it brought us here.
I’m familiar with the Golden Corral and I have no problem dining here. I get that most people think it’s «ghetto,» but for the price you can’t get any better. They have everything! I was particularly fond of the fried chicken. It wasn’t like most buffets where all the good pieces were picked over. This was the real deal! They also had a vinegar and oil fried fish that was delicious. I never tasted anything like it before so it was awesome trying something new. Of course their dessert bar is exceptional as well offering everything from ice cream to cotton candy. Our server (who I believe was Gered) was very kind and did a fabulous job at keeping up with his tables.
One issue the staff needs a little guidance on is how to cut veggies. Everything at the salad bar was awkwardly sliced and not appropriate for a salad. Huuuuge tomatoes, onions chopped vertically and green peppers left pretty much whole. The cleanliness was also lacking a bit as well, however I’ve never gone to a GC and thought it was super clean. Buffets are harder to keep up with so I totally understand. Though, it would be nice to not have to step over crushed ice cream cones while getting my chocolate soft serve out of the machine. I also wish parents watched their kids while at the food bar.
3 stars because I’m not able to give it 3 ½.

The food was cold, not fresh and from lunch. They where clean, that’s a upside of it at least. The staff was friendly. I give three stars because the food needs improvement. Maybe we caught them on a bad day because they were running slow, but they can get better.

Golden corral is good if you want to go somewhere and everyone wants some slightly different foods. But the food here is decent, it is not by no means aweful. And the selection is very good. The staff here was alright, I have encounter more friendly service and there was a worker cleaning the area we were in, and im sorry to say but she kinda smelled like pee, which took my appetite away. But taking that out of the equation, if you like golden corral it is a good location. And it is like any other golden corral.

Not much to say when it comes to writing a review for a buffet like this. Straight up middle America comfort foods. Lots of hot, fresh food, done like the average Joe likes. The waitress was a little overbearing, stopping by a little too often (every two minutes), to ask if we needed anything.
Bottom line for people looking at a review here is that the restaurant is clean, the food is kept fresh, and the employees are friendly.
