This was an odd store. First thing I noticed was the sign on the door saying only 2 students allowed in at a time. I am guessing they have had problems with students loitering. When I was in high school my friends and I wouldn’t want to spend our money in an establishment that wouldn’t allow us to all come in and eat together. This could turn a generation off(in this area,) from going to Grateter’s. The sign seemed kind of unwelcoming for a Graeter’s. The staff itself were nice. Though I wasn’t really sure who was helping me though. It seemed to be a combination of all three ladies who were working there. Ice cream was wonderful. Smooth and creamy with just the right amount of stuff mixed in. Unlike another location I reviewed, the ice cream wasn’t «sticky.» Scoop size was SMALL. Not«gee that was so good I wish I had more,» small, but small as in the scoop was half the size of any Graeter’s I have been to. That went for all the cones we got. Getting a pint to share or to-go may be the best way to ensure you are getting the right amount. Maybe if they didn’t turn away students they wouldn’t have to skimp on scoop size.

Service was below average. ice cream was fantastic as always. the people watching was hilarious, always a good time on this side of town. Oldest daughter has jazzberry, but we had to remind the 16 year old she had it on her menu. I had double chocolate chip. I feel you get more for the money with that flavor, chocolate ice cream and whole candy bars.

This review is only for the doughnuts and cakes. I take a good pastry over ice cream any day.

My parents have been raving about Graeter’s Ice Cream for the longest time because they come visit Cincinnati often to visit the grandparents, aunts, etc. My father grew up here and this location was where he has gone for the past 40 years. They have a variety of ice cream, malts, shakes, baked goods and desserts that can keep you busy for hours. The main event here is the ice cream. They have different flavors to choose from and different concoctions to make, but if you go straight traditional ice cream, you can’t go wrong. The parents suggestion is straight chocolate chip because it gives you the largest pieces of chocolate that you can imagine mixed with vanilla cream. It was quite tasty, but I went big and tried the mint chip and raspberry chocolate chip and they were both quite amazing. Finding those giant chocolate chunks is a little treat each time. We also tried the mini cones which are great if you just want a little taste with big flavor. You get three mini cones with three different flavors depending on your mood. I would recommend Graeter’s to anyone who is in the area and would like traditional, great tasting ice cream.
