Hawthorn Suites By Wyndham Cincinnati

This hotel just has a vibe of being old and out of date. The elevator took forever and did not feel safe. Either there was a small herd of elephants in the room upstairs or the floors are insanely thin. I could hear every step from the floor above, constantly, through the 5 days I stayed at the hotel. Impossible to sleep and get comfortable. The beds were not very comfy either, there were only three pillows and all three were flat. There was a full kitchen in the room but no table or couch to sit at (only the desk and the bed). I didn’t use any of the appliances but I pulled a glass out of the cabinet to drink water from and it was filthy! They do a deep cleaning on your room once per week, mine was apparently scheduled the morning after I checked in, so I missed the cleaning and the rest of my stay they only make the bed and change out towels. They didn’t even change out the glasses in the bathroom. Overall, I was expecting a very nice, comfortable stay based on other reviews and the pictures on line but was overwhelmingly disappointed with this hotel. Not to mention the surrounding areas near the hotel are also nothing appealing.

Terrible service — DIRTY room — Disgusting food
I checked into this hotel at 8:45pm on a Sunday night. The parking lot was about ½ full, so I can’t imagine the place was full, yet when I get to the desk, he has to ask housekeeping if my room was ready. She said it was. I get checked in, go up to my room, and they are still «cleaning» it. I had to wait in the hallway for them to finish. This has never happened to me before. What?.. was I getting the last room in the hotel? I can’t imagine why they would give someone a room that was still being cleaned at that hour of the evening.
The room just didn’t feel clean and it smelled bad. The bathroom had one bar of soap in it, so I had to use the same soap to wash hands & shower. Also, one lonely bottle of shampoo… Just seemed strange. There were long hairs in the bathroom sink.

I get up in the morning after listening to the douchbag parade in the hallway half the night, and there’s PUBIC HAIR IN THE TUB. Gross, Gross, Gross.
The night before I had gone to get something to eat and locked my key in the room. When I got back to the desk to get a new key, I mentioned the room to the manager and asked him if the hotel was full… told him my room was still being «cleaned» when I got up there, and he just gave me a blank stare. No «sorry», no «really?» no, «Either take the room I gave you or go fuck yourself»
The free breakfast was gross, but most hotel free breakfasts are. This gem had these perfectly round egg patties, that I think were cooked in a toaster. (No… I didn’t touch them… was trying to get (gross) coffee)
I sent THREE messages to Wyndham about this… (dirty room, etc… the breakfast is expected) all ignored.

Second stay here. Love this place and can’t say enough good things. The staff is wonderfully welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and homey. The free coffee and cookies are most appreciated. The wifi actually works. A lot of parking, laundry facilities… it’s a great place. Thanks so much!

We reserved a suite and when we got here we decided to upgrade from the regular suite to a deluxe suite, so the kids have their own room. They were very quick and polite and we have had great service here. Would love to come back again.
