How can you go wrong with soft serve? The cool thing about this place is the«flavor blast», where they infuse bits of a specific flavor into the soft serve. It’s not a twist, it’s a blast!

Love this place! It is easy to walk to for a delicious summer treat! The portions are huge which is nice! A swirl with rainbow sprinkles is my fav! I just wish it was open year round! This would be a great place for a date night too! Just grab dinner next door at Italianette and grab dessert before heading out!

Terrible customer service. The shop is entirely manned by children on cell phones. And never get there within an hour of closing time. There will be a line and a good chance that you’ll have the service window slammed in your face before getting served.

Excellent ice cream. Rich taste, great toppings. Cheap and generous portions. And luv the name! :-) only wish there were some benches to sit on around the place. Regardless you can always hop into your hood to enjoy this treat :-)

We love this place because it is convenient to us and cheap. We always get the soft serve; I like it dipped in chocolate with nuts. They actually give you SO much, we usually ask for less than what they normally do. The only problems are hygiene and service. There are young teenage girls working there usually, who are not always professional or particularly nice to the customers. We saw one teenager put the lid of the container that holds the soft serve before going through the machine ONTHEFLOOR. Yes, the dirty dirty dirty floor. I was disturbed, but I still ate my cone. Haha!

Any place with a clever name gets people to stop by, which is exactly what drew me to Hold The Nuts! on a recent trip to Silverton. A walk-up, hole-in-the-wall creamy whip, Hold The Nuts! is located next to Italianette and run by the same folks. As I walked up to the window, a sign read: «To order ice cream, go to the Italianette.» The clerk inside the restaurant called for the manager, who met me back over at the Hold The Nuts! window. Odd, I know. I kept it simple and went with a soft serve flavor burst. I was handed a huge cone that only cost $ 2.00. Elsewhere, I’ve paid $ 2.75 or more. It was a cool, 70º spring day and the ice cream started melting immediately. Actually, it was the flavor topping that was dripping down my hand. The treat was tasty, but I wish I hadn’t been forced to devour the cone so quickly. Price per person: $ 3.00
