OMG The absolute worst service I have ever had in a restaurant. Save your money and eat at home.

Boooo! This place is so lame. And a terrible value… even considering the «performance» provided. They will never see this family again.

Eaten Hibachi & sushi three times this month and I have to say it has been fresh and delicious each time!

I have been going to Iron Chef for years. Their food is amazing and I cant get anything like it anywhere else. Their yum yum sauce is to die for. I crave it everyday and I wish they sold it! Same goes for their tangy salad dressing. Its looks gross but it is the best I have ever had. The only issue I find with this place is I believe it is a tad bit over priced for the qaulity of the food. But eating there is an amazing time for the whole family! I dont mind paying a little extra for how yummy that yum yum sauce is!

The Hibachi grill is so much fun for the little kids and the big kids of any age. The staff is very friendly. Food is great. The shrimp are huge. Chicken is so tender and the steak is delicious. Love the volcano onion. Vegetables are sooo tasty. Sushi is good. Prices are what you expect at a place like this… expect to pay extra but you’re getting a show too.

Food was AMAZING! The hibachi was so cool and so much fun! You even get to catch food in your mouth! The chicken and rice was really good! Service though, even though there were only a few customers, was very slow, but the wait was definitely worth it!

I have been going here for years and especially my birthday. My family and I love this place. They give you a free fried ice cream on your birthday so that is always a plus.
For this particular visit we got the shrimp and vegetable tempura which comes with 3 massive shrimp, sweet potato, cauliflower, and an onion ring halo. The sushi is your standard Cincinnati choices and good quality. The sushi chef is really nice and personable. As for the hibachi the chefs are nice and know their craft. You get the standard volcano, fire tornado, egg juggling, veggie throwing, ect. It is always a great time watching these guys.
All hibachi comes with miso soup, salad and two shrimp. The miso is rich with some seaweed and tofu. The shrimp are large and fresh. The filet comes with a decent portion if i had to guess it would be 6oz and the lobster tails are pretty large too. The normal steak comes with a slightly larger portion maybe 9oz and I presume it is sirloin. The chefs cook it in front of you and I have never had it not cooked perfectly to medium rare. The scallops are also the huge U10 scallops, none of those little U16s, and you get a about a half dozen. The meals also come with the best yum yum sauce in Cincinnati. Not too much honey mustard and very creamy. The ginger sauce also really good.
For dessert, the the fried ice cream is not the ice cream covered in cereal like many other place. Here they wrapped pound cake around the ice cream and it is tempura battered. Eat it quick or it will melt!
Pros: Large and tasty portions, friendly service, skillful hibachi chef, great entertainment, full bar, good sushi, great value for the amount of quality meats/​seafood and the show
Cons: I honestly can not think of anything specifically here that is bad. However, in general for habachi, since you sit next to where they cook you do end up smelling like grilled foods.
Overall: Iron Chef is my gold standard when judging other Hibachi restaurants around town. Everything that I have tried is delicious.

This is my wife’s favorite place to eat!
The quality of the food is excellent… and she always asks for extra YUM YUM sauce! I enjoy the show the chef puts on for us and he even had some new tricks last time!

Just ok. We had hibachi here, and I can’t say it really stood out. Food was a bit salty for me. Service was friendly and quick for us, portions were fair, and nothing really stood out for me. Ambiance was a little dark for me, but I think that’s how most hibachi places are. I’ve heard their sushi is good, so will need to go back to try that out — perhaps I’ll be more impressed then.

Positively mediocre. I don’t expect much from hibachi, and I guess that’s appropriate as ever. Nothing special food wise, rather boring menu.
We had bad service, but they were understaffed for the amount of large parties in the place, so I’m not blaming the waiter.
There’s a lot of other Asian restaurants nearby, so with that in mind, I wouldn’t bother returning.

I might be biased being from California, but in my opinion, the food here is not authentic and tastes bad. I ordered the teriyaki beef and the sauce tasted nothing like I’ve ever had before, the sashimi was not very fresh, the tempura was overly battered and soggy, and my miso soup bowl was wet and I tasted the dishwasher soap. The service was ok, but I won’t be returning due to the food.

My family and I have now been sitting for 30 mins and still no service. Absolutely unacceptable. There are better places to spend your time and money.

I love Sushi and hadn’t found a really good Japanese place since I lived in California a few years ago. This place is great! The food is fantastic, especially the sushi rolls! I recommend this place to anyone.

Iron Chef is great, as long as you get an Asian chef or a chef with lots of experience. We once had a very young Caucasian chef and the chicken was black, so he just cut off the black parts. Other than that, we have had Fair sushi, but really good hibachi dishes.

The Sushi was really good, we have had a hard time finding good Sushi in Ohio. We went during the day for lunch, there wasn’t very many people there but it had a nice atmosphere. We got about different rolls and Hibachi rice and Pot Stickers and share it between 3 people. Everything was delicious! Will definitely be going back!

I’m a big fan of hibachi grills. We have requested Ko as our server whenever we go cu he is great with our 3 year old son. He is very entertaining and a good server. The food is awesome also.

I ordered beef teriyaki and it was bland. Service was slow considering there were only few customers. Our server is not attentive and not very good. She gave my mother-​in-​law a totally different order even after repeating our order. My husband got the Chirashi lunch (assorted sushi on rice) and the fish was not fresh. My husband didn’t finish it coz the fish tasted sour he thinks it was spoiled.
After waiting long for our ordered sushi, i asked our server how many more minutes, she told us 5 minutes. Then another server came telling us that our server misplaced our order. That’s after waiting at least 30 minutes.
I would suggest going to Kyoto instead, down the road. They have way better Japanese food.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
Do not go to this restaurant! The service and management here sucks!
After purchasing a groupon offer online to use at their restaurant we met another family member who also purchased the same groupon. We were told even though we were paying separately we couldn’t use our groupons because we knew each other. The coupon says 1 per table they said although there was also another couple there who also was using one. Instead of being cool about the whole thing they offered to split us up so we could use it so we’d not be able to sit together. We were so upset by the management we decided to eat the $ 15 coupon we bought and never decide to return there again.
I’m not sure whatever happened to good customer service but this place threw that out the window the way they treated us through the whole experience.
Their prices are high enough for mediocre food but this was the last straw. I guess they don’t care about keeping loyal customers or wanting new customers with the ones we referred to come eat there.
GO TO DAO!
We left there and went to Dao which was EXCELLENT! Great prices, really nice restaurant, amazing food and PERFECT customer service. We had never been there and decided to try it. We were worried it looked to pricey but not the case at all. ½ price sushi and appetizers. The sushi was phenomenal and our dinner was superb! What a way to turn around what started as a terrible evening.

First, I’d just like to say that at some point in the last three years (I’m not sure when) Iron Chef Grill changed ownership, so I think that a lot of the bad reviews may have been submitted before that change.
I went in not knowing what to expect, after seeing very mixed reviews about both the food and the service. However, I was very pleased with the result. The service was great. My boyfriend and I went there for dinner at about 6:30pm on Valentine’s Day, without a reservation, and even though it was packed, we were seated in less than five minutes. Our server was great; he seemed to know the menu well, and was attentive but not at our table so much that it was annoying.
The food was also very good. My entrée (the vegetable bi bim bap) was bland, but it was to be expected since it was quite literally plain white rice with plain vegetables (I knew that it didn’t come with any sauces, etc.). My boyfriend ordered the Hibachi salmon, which was amazing. We also got two orders of sushi rolls (california rolls and alaskan rolls) and two pieces of smoked salmon. All of the sushi was good, but the alaskan rolls and smoked salmon were great! And the sushi was half-​price, which apparently happens every day at lunch and dinner now, instead of just Thursdays as I had read on some of the reviews here.
Overall, it was a very nice experience, and I would visit Iron Chef Grill again (although, next time I will definitely get some of the Hibachi salmon or chicken).

Dining area: Tables are clean, floor mostly clean.
Staff: Friendly, brought fresh drinks when low, took away plates quickly when finished.
Hibachi Grill: Entertaining, food came out good, they forgot to clean the grill off so we had to look at the mess while eating our food. They did mess up a few small parts of the order of the couple sitting across from us.
Food: I ordered sushi and it all came out fantastic! Also got fried rice from the hibachi, its the best when its fresh. Tried the dessert its green tea ice cream surrounded with a gelatin covering which does not taste good at all (I had to run to the bathroom to spit it out). They did not charge us for the dessert. They sent me home with a to-​go cup for my soda-​pop and provided a box for my left over rice.
Bathroom: Doors are an awful lime green (totally dated), but once inside the colors are more pleasing. Mostly clean and there is sanitizer for the toilet seats, a definite plus.
I would come back here again.
