Not gonna lie, the location is less than appealing but the feel when you get in an sit down Is amazing. The food was fantastic. I got the ravioli and voodoo sandwich.

Numerous trips to Jean Paul’s have proven they are simply the best pizza, sandwich and pastry shop around — consistently outstanding. The friendly owners, Jean Paul and Janice, and all the staff are warm and welcoming, and are genuinely happy you’re there. Don’t hesitate, do not pass go, do not collect $ 200, go to Jean Paul’s ASAP. You won’t be disappointed. You’ll return, again and again. And, take home some babka!!!

This place is nothing but AMAZING. I had the ziti pasta OMG it was delicious. I’m a Italian food fan and have been to couple places but this one tops it all. It’s family owned and operated plus they are super friendly to explain all questions or point you to the dish u had in mind. They have great pastries and bread homemade. I’m definitely a customer for life they’ve earned my 5+star. Places like this is the great definition of homemade food made with love because tonight that’s what they made me feel like. Thank you. A must try for sure

This place is adorable. The food is all homemade, the owners are very friendly and everything tastes great. It is a great place to pick up a quick meal for the family if you are in a hurry and can’t cook.

The holiday cookies and the pastries went over way too well at my house for Christmas. You expect leftovers after your Christmas dinner but nooooooooooooooo not these… GONE! Another great masterpiece from Jean Paul! Thank you for making our holidays more special!

We ordered a pizza over the phone. There was one person in line when we walked in. The service was extremely slow. After we made it to the register after 20 min, their whole staff(4 – 5 people) was standing up by the register because there was no business.) We gave them the name our order was placed under, only for the very large sweaty man(Jean Paul?) to say«Oh, sorry I forgot. What do you want?» Everyone laughed it off in unison, like they felt pressured to. The service was so poor(slow & rude) that we took our business out the door to nicer people. I live right down the street, and love small shops. But this place stinks. Tiny. Rude. Slow. Pricey. I went back a year later and they forgot to put in my order again(how??). We’ll never go back. Stay away if u have self respect.

We were looking for somewhere close to Riverbend Music Center to have dinner before going to a concert. I looked around and found this place on Unilocal and we decided to try it. Excellent decision! We had a wild mushroom and goat cheese pizza, a panini, a salad… everything was excellent. The space is very small with only 3 tables and a couple seats at a «bar» that basically is a counter looking into the kitchen. The service was very good, performed by someone who was also working in the kitchen. We were completely unaware that the establishment was BYOB until we noticed a gentleman with 2 children eating… and drinking a bottle of beer out of a 4 pack that he had stashed under his chair. I asked about it, he offered me a beer(!!!) and I remembered that I had a couple of bottles of wine in the car. The prices are all quite low as well, especially given the quality and that they charge no corkage for your wine/beer. We finished a bottle of wine, had a great dinner, and picked up a couple of desserts, a particularly good flourless chocolate cake included, and were off to see Alt-J. I don’t know how often we’ll be in the area for anything other than to see music, but when we are we will definitely be back.

Tonight, my wife and I went to Jean Paul’s(Pleasures) Paradiso. It has 2 small glass tables, inside and 3 metal tables outside. My wife had Portabella Mushroom Soup with a Pizza Wrap with capicola, mushrooms, and black olives. I went for the Ziti. Both dishes were incredible! With the Ziti, the tomato sauce with green and red peppers, onions, mushrooms, and Italian sausage — you could taste every flavor wonderfully. My wife was considering marriage to the owner(I hope it was a joke!). Janet(who made my ziti tonight), gave us some pumpkin cheesecake. HEAVEN! I love finding these taste gems. I look forward to eating there again. Thank you everyone at Jean Paul’s! BTW — they also have an a large selection and deserts and breads — if I only had a larger stomach!

Wow, can’t believe nobody has said anything about the service. Maybe I just had a bad experience, which is unfortunate b/c I will say the food was quite good. I had to wait 30 minutes for my sandwich to go(no exaggeration) and when I asked how much one of their sides was, the guy laughed at me. Maybe I just got an a-hole waiting on me, but he was quite rude. Took all I had to not fire back at him, but I typically don’t mess with those making my food, so I bit my tongue. Maybe I’ll try again sometime since it seems everybody else likes it. Though I will say when I told my GF I went here, the first thing she said was«they are rude, I refuse to go there anymore». So I’m not the only one.

I just so happened to have stumbled upon this place and so glad I did. It’s a small ma & pa shop near a gas station. Cute little place with fresh breads and pastries displayed. They have a good variety of Italian pastas, salads, pizzas and sandwiches. My orders: 1. Cuban sandwich: it would have to b one of the best Cuban sandwiches I’ve tried. Flavor and crispiness of the bread along w the pork was perfect! 2. Ziti pasta: it tastes fresh and sauce was nicely flavored w the Sausages and penne If u plan on ordering take out, call ahead of time so that u don’t have to wait too long. Next time I’m coming back for some freshly made pizza!

Yeah, this place is good, even though it’s next to a gas station. I don’t think it’s good for vegan, but it’s good for vegetarian. I ate some of the vegetable filling from the take out vegetable lasagna I got for my husband. Well, listen. Sometimes Fergus can be a doof. So he didn’t want to go to yoga, but I said I’d pick him up some food. For a treat, I went to this place. The vegetable lasagna looked really good, so I got that. I thought he’d love it. «I hate vegetable lasagna. Why’d you get me that? I don’t like anything about it. I wanted protein.» Yeah, like what’s not to like about vegetable lasagna? It’s good. Like you really can’t mess it up. And there’s protein in cheese and pasta. Like does he know anything about nutrition? Well, not really. And besides, if you’re going to sit at home like a lump, then you have no right to complain about the food you get for dinner. Fergus was really being a bitch. Still, he was so hungry that he at the lasagna. Even though he acted like I brought him a basket of poison apples for dinner. Like he complained the entire time he heated it up. He complained when he sat down. Then he had a bite and he shut up. Why? Why do you think? Duh. It was really good and he liked it. Fergus said it was the best vegetable lasagna he ever had. I tried a little bit of it and it’s really good. The vegetable part has the best flavor. Also, I got this brownies with coconut topping and they were really good. Ferg said the topping is marzipan, which he hates, but he ate the whole brownie. And I ate one. Good enough to be vegetarian and not vegan for an evening.

I have lived 3 miles from this place for 10+ years and had never been here. Not sure why other than maybe it’s not top of mind due to being tucked behind a Shell station. My loss! This was one of the more enjoyable meals I’ve had in a long time. Everything is made from scratch and is delicious! It’s small inside and we were the only ones dining late on a Wednesday night. They treated us like we’ve been coming in for years. It was so friendly. Food specifics — Mushroom soup fantastic, Ziti delicious(homemade pasta and sausage), Pizza was a little heavy on the fresh mozzarella but very good. They gave us the rest of the loaf of Italian bread after we raved about it. We ordered desert but too stuffed to eat it now. Looks perfect though. It’s an understatement to say we will be back soon.

What a pleasant surprise! We were actually going to go to a different restaurant nearby, but it was closed because it was relocating. We found Jean Paul’s Paridiso on Unilocal and gave it a try. EVERYTHING is made from scratch. I had the roasted portobello soup served with freshly made bread, and a meatball panini. The soup was the best mushroom soup I have ever had. It had chunks of portobello in it and was seasoned perfectly. The fresh bread and butter was icing on the cake. The panini was fantastic. Thick homemade bread, not oily or greasy, with the perfect crunch. There were ample sliced meatballs(homemade of course) with cheese and roasted peppers and onions. It was HUGE(and I hate to admit that I ate every last bite of it). My wife had the panini voodoo and liked it equally will. You had your choice of sides — potato salad, fruit salad, or a coos coos salad. We both had the potato salad, and it too was a home run. Jean Paul is a master chef, and you can tell it with every succulent bite. Our waitress, Janice, brought out a large sample of a lemon pastry that had just come out of the oven. I loved it and I don’t even like lemon desserts. She was so friendly and helpful. We picked out some desserts to take home(everything is freshly baked there) and Janice threw in an apple tart as well. Two huge panini sandwiches with potato salad, a large bowl of roasted portobello soup, two soft drinks, and some desserts to go home all for $ 30. That was great food for a great deal. Do yourself a favor and stop in to this little gem. Your stomach will thank you.

Every time I go(it’s usually within the hour they close) I end up with extra breads; a baguette here, half a loaf there, or a couple rolls. I assume that’s a thing, since it’s happened every time I’ve been(first time as well). Tonight I was talking with someone there that said, «we got a random visit from the Health Department, and the next day, the same inspector came in for lunch!» I’d say that’s a compliment. It smells soooo good in this place. I don’t blame him.

We ate here for lunch, for the first time, but it won’t be our last! We had read that there wasn’t much seating(2 tables for 3 with tall chairs) so we got there at 11:30am. The people working there were very nice. My friend and I ordered the creamy mushroom soup bowl, which was very good and a nice portion. We each got a wrap, mine was mushroom/spinach. It was so tasty and a huge portion — enough for take home for the next day. I also got the chocolate flourless cake to go since I was no longer hungry. I ate it later and it was good, but not the best I’ve had locally(go to Grand Finale for it). They have a nice restroom right off of the dining area, but there seemed to be no lock on the door so my friend had to «guard the door» for me. We will go back for sure! Definitely got our moneys worth! Look for it behind the Sunoco gas station.

If you hate deliciousness, then you won’t like Jean Paul’s Paradiso. However, if you DO like deliciousness, then you will LOVEJPP. I know I did! Very rarely do I leave an establishment so infatuated that I immediately want to write a review, but I did tonight after eating dinner here. JPP is in an unassuming little niche, tucked away behind a gas station — I have passed it so many times and never noticed it. However, my husband has already been a repeat customer and wanted to take me here, especially since he knows how disgruntled I am with the limited food options of Anderson Twp. We sat at one of the two two-top tables — this place was packed with take-out customers loading up on pizzas, sacks of the delectable pastries baked on-site, solo diners picking up dinner salads, etc. We were waited on by the sweetest, friendliest lady ever — bright, chatty, cheery and just welcoming all around. I was trying to exercise portion control and lost all restraint here. The slabs of bread, offered gratis, were soft, chewy and scrumptious, a sort of boule, and demanded to be slathered with the BESTBUTTEREVER. This butter was just dreamy, the flavor and texture were astonishing. Deeply yellow and so, so rich. Trust me, I love butter, I am one of its biggest fans, and this butter made me feel positively — EUROPEAN. We split a «small» garden salad, which was graciously served up on two separate plates. I can’t imagine what a regular salad is like, since we each had a big salad loaded with mushrooms, tomato, red onion, cucumber and silky strands of cheese(no pre-shredded stuff used here). My husband had the ravioli with meatballs and declared them delicious and crazy filling. I had the penne with Bolognese sauce: al dente pasta smothered with a thick, flavorful meaty sauce and gooey with more of that fresh-shredded cheese. I had to box up half of the food to go, I was so stuffed. And did I mention our dinner was about $ 30?! A delicious fine-dining-restaurant-quality meal, at around the price of Chipotle *performs crazy little happy dance*. However, we couldn’t resist purchasing some of the baked goods. After sampling the«crumb-y muffins», I ordered three to take home to the parents in KY, and the sack literally sagged under their buttery weight(HEAVEN). We also later split the flourless mini chocolate cake — essentially, melted dark chocolate in a solid form, if that makes sense? Together we could only finish half of it, it was so rich! So nice to know of this absolute heart-felt, foodie paradise in the land of soulless chain restaurants!

I CANNOT even BELIEVE that I JUST found this place, after living over here for 10 years. I was getting bored of the same old lunches on Beechmont, so I used Unilocal, and I found this place. Yes, it is in a weird place, and I have passed it a thousand times on Clough. Fair warning, it’s a VERY small place. There are only 2 high-top tables inside. So it’s intimate. But that didn’t bother me at all because the staff was so extremely nice, funny and professional. I ordered the Roasted Portobello soup for starters. It comes out in larger bowl and the biggest, softest, warmest piece of Italian bread you’ll ever eat. That bread was fantastic. But the soup was excellent. If you love mushrooms, you MUST get this soup. Perfection. My man ordered the Cuban Black Bean soup. It was good, but I like my Black Bean soup with a lot spice. It’s like they wanted to play it safe so it could be enjoyed by everyone. I would have loaded it up with cumin. But it was good enough for me to take a bite then steal the rest of my man’s soup. The staff gave us the perfect amount of time to enjoy our soup before bringing out our sandwiches. HOLYCOW, the sandwiches are HUGE. My husband and I were talking with staff that this was our first time here, and he next time we come, we have to try the pizza. So we decided we were going to order a pizza for dinner, until our sandwiches came out. In fact, I was so full from my soup and bread, that I took my entire sandwich home. But I did eat the pasta salad, and I need to talk about that for a minute. Ummm…their pasta salad is the BEST I’ve ever had. It came as a side with our sandwiches. See my picture. I want to go back and order a bowl of that to take home. I had the Turkey Wild Mushroom Wrap — «Sliced turkey, mushrooms sauteed in a rosemary and garlic, and roasted red peppers». Very, very good. Bursting with great tastes that complimented each other perfectly. My man had the Fajita Wrap. It’s a hot wrap — «Tomato basil fajita filled with blackened chicken, tomatoes, peppers, onions, and mozzarella.» I took one bite and said, «That is fantastic», then ate the rest, because I refused to give it back. There were many pies, breads, pastries, cookies, etc for sale. I had one chocolate chip cookie(only 25 cents!) and it was delicious. Finally! I have found a chocolate chip cookie that was super tasty! And lastly, I can’t say enough about how nice the staff was. Super nice! You can tell they really like working there, and they care about their customers. We will DEFINITELY be back. Like, all of the time. We eat out 5 times a week, and we are going to be there so much, Jean Paul will know us by our first names!

I don’t even know where to begin! This place is AMAZING! We went here for dinner not realizing it is not a «dine-in» restaurant. There were two high tops and stools for carry out patrons. We came here with our two year old and our neighbors who also have a two year old. It’s located in an out of the way place, so you’re def looking at the gas pumps from the gas station next door. But the food and service MORE than make up for the scenery We ordered the mushroom soup, the Sicilian pizza and the Cuban. Everything was so flavorful and not one thing overpowered another. The mushroom soup was thick and creamy and the portion was huge, topped with cheese. The Cuban came with a small portion of pasta salad that was incredibly tasty, my husband and I finished it within minutes. The Sicilian pizza had heaps of meat, the quality was no joke. You could taste every different kind of meat on that pizza. Our little one ate everything as well :) We were lucky enough to save a little room for their fudge brownies… our neighbors and the three of us didn’t leave a single crumb. Fudgy, chewy and soft. I would gain a thousand pounds if I had more in front of me. We left with a chocolate cannoli, a mini cheesecake and a mini pecan pie… now I’m just waiting until my stomach isn’t stuffed to the brim to eat them tonight. I just wanna say the staff is phenomenal. Our kiddos were walking around a bit and many of them took a moment to say hi to them, it really made the experience. The patrons that came in were super friendly as well. This is a new, absolute favorite place of mine for years to come! Hopefully I can post pics next time before I devour the food lol
