Okay Unilocalers, buckle up… I’m about to provide you with Maria’s success guide to JJs. I have been coming here/getting delivery for 4 years. 1) don’t get delivery. I know. How dare I stop you from waiting for a sandwich at home in your undies? But delivery doesn’t make sense unless you have to get it. There is a fee that doesn’t include tip, so you’re spending at least $ 2 more for the same thing(my turkey Tom is $ 5.25 when I go get it and about $ 6.50 for delivery). Also, if they mess it up you have to call and wait for them to come back with your right sub. I got a sandwich in the dorms delivered with mayo and have been scarred ever since(kinda). 2) customize! The first thing I do when I order is say«leave the bread in.» They take a little out after they cut it and I’ve found it tastes better and is more filling with a little more bread. I also get the turkey Tom but let’s face it, it’s the Maria Tom.(Turkey Tom leave the bread in. No tomato, no mayo, add onion, add oregano, add extra vin sauce). The sauce is like oil and vinegar but it is so good… and who can go wrong with oregano? 3) get the chips. It’s always a dilemma, and let’s face it, you deserve those chips and need those as a sidekick to the sandwich. This location gets 3 stars because it has messed up in the past and is just okay. I like the subs though! Water cups are 26 cents so there is a price to pay for hydration.

Sandwich is almost always consistently made and tastes good. Delivery on occasion is fast, but the inconsistency in deliver is the problem. I’m waiting an hour today to get my food. This is never good. I could have ordered from everywhere, but I chose here to get it quick. hum didn’t work out so good.

I typically order Jimmy’s about once a week at night after a long shift or night. They usually get my order correct. I wish their portions were just a little bit bigger but, hey that’s just me. I usually tip about 20% even if it takes the driver a long time because it’s usually not his or her fault. I would give a four star to this Jimmy’s but there has been a few times I have waited over an hour for my sub. One time they never even came. Besides that, I typically am very satisfied.

Freaky fast delivery is right! Food was wonderful and it was exactly as ordered. Driver was very nice and friendly. The only downside was no napkin in the bag, but I can handle that! I will order again!

Just got a slim 4 from them. It was really nice of them to put turkey on it… they forgot everything else… literally just turkey and bread. Got it to go. Not very happy.

Love the bread. Many good sandwich options here. I used to always opt for the Turkey Tom, but I’ll admit that this place just isn’t as good since they stopped serving sprouts. It was my favorite thing about them. Ingredients are always fresh. Delivery is almost always super speedy. This place saved me many times at 2am. Favorites: Italian night club, gargantuan, and country club. Yum!

I’m a semi-frequent customer of Jimmy John’s and always order(via the website) the same thing(#6 vegetarian). The second to last time I ordered, I never received a confirmation email. Not sure if this was due to the website or the store, but I had to call to make sure it was made before I walked over. Then the last time I placed the same order(this time, with a confirmation email!) I showed up to the store and complete mayhem. They gave me my sandwich, and I got back to my office to discover a roast beef sandwich. Argh. I called them to see what they could do, and they said to come back and they’d remake my sandwich and throw in chips, a drink, and a cookie. Cashier was pretty indifferent about the inconvenience, and the manager only acknowledged the situation when the cashier disappeared and I had to ask someone for a bag. Argh. I thought about pushing them for a refund, but I was getting hangry and not in the mood to ask for it. I’ll keep going back just because I have a weird fixation on the #6. If the two situations above were my only experiences with this location, I’d give it two stars. Most of the time they have it together more, so I’m going to hope these recent experiences were an anomaly.

Worst subs I’ve ever paid for. They do deliver which is worth something. The bites are all bread and it’s not like they have a good veggie sandwich either. My roommate told me the trick to making it edible is to buy double meat every time. I’ll let you know if I’m desperate enough to try again and double meat changes anything. Nothing against this location, service was quick and it was right off campus at UC.

Seriously awesome! I’ve ordered delivery here at least 30 times and I’ve never been disappointed. I order the tuna every time with a bag of chips. It’s another place that delivers right to my door.

This is an excellent Jimmy John’s location with the exception of a few minor quirks. I live just a few minutes away and order online regularly. My food is always ready for me whenever I get there. In addition to being very fast, the food is also pretty good and can be relatively healthy. I’m a big fan of their sub buns(soft inside, chewy outside) and of their kettle-style potato chips. They have Coke products too, which is a bonus for me. If you need a late night meal, it is also one of the few carry out places that doesn’t carry the gastrointestinal fears of other fast food places open at that hour. The quirks? Parking is usually a mess, especially during the school year. There are metered street spaces that fill up quickly. Also, if you order in, the staff screws up sandwiches sometimes, especially if you make changes to the as-in. Extra meat? No mayo? No cheese? Probably not, but oddly enough, when I order online, I never have this problem. Overall, I’ve been very happy with my experiences here. It’s a great quick meal option. Now, I just wish they’d get the one at the Banks done!

I called to have subs delivered and was told that I did not live in the delivery radius of this store and that they only deliver within a 2 mile radius. I insisted that I live within a 2 mile radius of the store but was told that I don’t. I Google-mapped my location and found that it was 1.9 miles from the store. I called and spoke to the manager who told me that, in fact, the policy isn’t «within a two-mile radius.» He then began to spout out arbitrary streets that supposedly bounded their delivery area, none of which my apartment was out of. Finally, he just told me that he wouldn’t deliver to my address. The customer service at this location is appalling. Picking and choosing who you are going to deliver to in this fashion is incredibly unprofessional. I rarely have an opportunity to receive such terrible customer service. After writing an email to the store management, I was told that their inability to deliver to customers that are certainly within the delivery range was a «strategic decision.» It is a disgrace that restaurants such as Jimmy John’s refuse to deliver to any areas that are not primarily student-populated. Not only is this a racist policy, as this certainly wouldn’t occur 1.9 miles from a suburban store, it also denies the community as a whole access to quality food(i.e. something other than fried chicken). Two loyal customers lost.

I’ve had a mixed bag of experiences here. Most of them are drunken, and therefore satisfying, but one time the customer service bothered me. I did go here very drunk once, and therefore I may be in the wrong, but I think they pegged me as a drunken idiot and that’s what resulted in me paying for a sub that I never got and then being dismissed as forgetful. I can’t blame them, they probably get a lot of those, but still, I value customer service a lot and I think I was slighted. I also got this once when I was stone sober and was not overly impressed. The cold sub was lathered in mayo and was dominated by that flavor. Not the best. The 3 stars reflects the general experience, which is a satisfying, filling sandwich for an incredibly cheap sandwich.

I’m not usually one to give many 1-star reviews(you can see my profile), but restaurants like Jimmy John’s really deserve it. I really do not see the appeal to Jimmy John’s, other than they’re «freaky fast» especially with delivery. Yes, they are extremely fast. But with quickness, lacks quality. I went up, ordered my sub and requested the veggies I wanted. Whilst paying for my sub — it was already done. Awesome, right? Well…here comes the part about the sandwich. The roll was clearly stale, as noted by the«gluey“ness of it. The meats were ok, but personally, I would have liked them heated up or toasted — both things they don’t do to meet their«freaky fast» timeline. The veggies were well past their prime. Hint, browning iceberg lettuce means it’s been sitting there too long or that you have a broken refrigerator. I don’t want to get into too much more specifics, but in general, the quality of the food was crap. It’s cheap. It’s fast. But unless you only have a minute or two to spare, skip Jimmy John’s and head to any of the other bazillion sandwich places within a mile. Quiznos, Penn Station, Chipotle, Currito, Five Guys, Potbellys, and Panera(just to name a few) serve much higher quality meals for just a few more minutes of your time. With my few experiences around Jimmy Johns around the country, it is the same for me everywhere. It just isn’t my cup of tea. If you’re a Jimmy John’s fan, then there is probably nothing wrong with this location. But it really doesn’t cut it for me. The minute I save or the few dollars back in my coffers aren’t worth this experience for me.

I’m amazed that this place is able to stay in business with a Quiznos, Penn Station, Chipotle, Currito and Five Guys all in the neighborhood. Your options are soggy white bread, some shredded iceberg lettuce, a tomato slice, a glob of mayonnaise and a few thin slices of meat. They charge you $.75 extra for a slice of cheese. They don’t offer to toast it either. I’ve had pre-wrapped gas station sandwiches that were better. it’s like this place doesn’t even try.

this is going to be a real quick review, straight to the point. these guys are amazing. their sandwiches are great, their bread is moist and chewy, the veggies are fresh, they dont drench them in sauce. I love that they dont charge for delivery, though my place of employment is right across the street. They have an iPhone app, so its super easy to order. Cant say enough good things.

Love the fact that they have no delivery charge or minimum, sometimes I am the only one who wants Jimmy Johns in my office(I know, hard to believe right!?) Freaky fast is right!

Back in the day, when I was in college at UC, Jimmy John’s delivered a sandwich to a lecture I was in. Swear to god. It went like this: Sitting in some lecture, suddenly the door opens and the Jimmy John’s guy comes in: «Ummm. Who ordered the ______?» Random guy in the middle of the auditorium: «Right here, dude.» They meet in the aisle and settle. The rest of us sit there, stunned. Any delivery man who has the balls to do that gets my vote. Also, they are super cheap, and will for real deliver like $ 2 worth of food. I don’t care what you’re ordering, that is a serious deal. Especially in college. I imagine frat house row gives them thousands in business daily. And it’s just a sandwich, you’d have to work really hard to screw it up. Here’s to you, Jimmy John’s. I wish you had a song that we could drunkenly sing about you. Wait — great idea, don’t steal it.

I have a love/hate relationship with this particular JJs location. They’ve lost my entire order on more than one occasion. But they’ve also come to my rescue with sandwiches galore in the middle of a snowstorm. Next to campus, and open late, this is one place you’re going to rely on for cravings.
