Last year I decided to roll over my IRA to Kemba (Queensgate), I received great service and got a very good rate on a long term IRA CD. So I decided to open a checking account with them this week. Again I got great service and great news, they offer a NO minimum checking account, but it you use a debit/​credit card once a month and have any amount direct deposit to the account and sign up for online statements and log-​in for online banking you can get an interest rate of 2.50% for upto $ 15,000. The account pays 0.15% if you don’t. They have many locations throughout the tri-​state area and to become a member does not require you to work for any specif job.

This Kemba (like the others) is friendly and fast. Because this is close to downtown this is one of the busier branches but it is the closest one to the West Side.
If you have not used a credit union before, look into it! They are often more accessible and offer better and fuller services than banks. You can join Kemba (affiliated with Kroger) in the Cincinnati area if you live in Hamilton county — no need to work at Kroger.
