This place should have been packed on a Saturday night. The service was excellent. It’s a nice upscale casual atmosphere– we don’t have a lot of Asian restaurants like that on the Westside! I went with deluxe sashimi and a spicy tuna roll. The presentation was spectacular and the sashimi was incredibly fresh! I highly recommend this restaurant!

I really, really enjoyed this place. What a surprise to find this amazing place in Delhi of all locations. Every sushi item we ordered was beautifully and tastefully prepared. However, my husband didn’t seem to enjoy it as much as I did. To each their own. We also ordered carry out chicken fried rice for my son and he said it was some of the best chicken fried rice he’s ever had and is already asking me to get more. I think it’s worth a try if you haven’t been there before so you can decide for yourself.

Appetizers were excellent, pot stickers and Rangoon. Of our 4 dinners, 3 were great, one just good. Non noodle entrees were better. My Hibachi entrée of chicken was well cooked, the sauce was delicious, and the fried rice was excellent. The shrimp were not totally hot by the time I got them, but we’re expertly cooked and seasoned. Prices were reasonable and the broad menu definitely allows cheaper options. Overall very good, I would definitely return.

I have visited Kumo twice, and I like it. I have been trying to find quality Japanese restaurants in Cincinnati that do not do half-price sushi. I am surprised that the west side of town, especially in the Delhi neighborhood, has such a high quality Japanese restaurant. The first time I visited Kumo, I ordered the sashimi dinner. I was impressed by the fresh sashimi, nigiri, and the nice presentation. I can tell they tried very hard preparing and presenting the food they serve. The second time I was there, I ordered sashimi bento box. Again, I was impressed by the quality of food. The sashimi in my bento box was fresh. And shrimp and vegetable tempura were delicious. Other two side dishes in my bento box were yummy too! It was a nice and satisfying meal for sure. In terms of service, the restaurant staff were friendly as well. We had to waited a little bit for our bento boxes. But our server stopped by our table letting us know that our dinner was coming, which for me, was a nice gesture. One thing I am not sure about this restaurant(not their fault at all) is its location. The neighborhood where this restaurant is located is kinda drab and bleak. I mainly visit this restaurant for its quality food and good service. Otherwise, I would not come to this neighborhood. Another thing I think this restaurant can probably improve is its décor. I can tell this restaurant is relatively new, and the old décor from the previous business still remains. Since it is a Japanese and Asian fusion restaurant, I would recommend that they«dress up» the dining area a little more. Hopefully, this restaurant will maintain its quality. If that is so, we will definitely come here regularly.

What a pleasant surprise right in the heart of Delhi. We have suffered from a lack of good dining options and even this location has been multiple restaurants over the past few years. Fortunately, it looks like this one is here to stay. Unlike their predecessors, Kumo invested in remodeling and creating a nice décor. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. The service is top notch.

The service wasn’t bad. The food tasted a bit cheap. The sushi tasted like something I got from the strip mall sushi place in college. Otherwise, not necessarily a notable experience.

We ate here for the first time on Sunday afternoon. The food was great, service was attentive, and price was a good value for the portions. We had the crab Rangoon for an appetizer, and pineapple fried rice, general tso and mango chicken for entrees. All were very good and fresh. Would recommend if you’re in the area to check it out!

Delhi Pike isn’t exactly known for fine cuisine, but that could change with the recent opening of Kumo Asian Fusion. The new eatery is the fourth of the Kumo Sushi & Lounge restaurants and features a wide range of menu options, ranging from the classic Egg Drop Soup to a very extensive sushi bar. Walking into Kumo, there’s a very modern vibe. I was greeted just moments after walking in the door by the friendly staff and was seated at a cozy booth towards the center of the restaurant. All around the interior are colored lights and decorations that create a very serene mood, which helped me relax as I took in the ambiance. The table was neatly set with utensils(including a set of chopsticks), a tablecloth, and the menu, showing a great attention to detail. After a few moments, I was greeted by a server, who was enthusiastic and willing to explain the different menu options. He promptly brought my drink order(water with lemon), and then took my order(the Lobster Tail Hibachi Dinner). Shortly after leaving the table, the waiter returned with the salad that was included with my meal, which I chose to dress with the house dressing. The waiter eagerly discussed the dressing, talking about the various ingredients which make it up and its unique flavor, making the presentation of the salad more immersive into the Asian culture which lies at the heart of Kumo. After a short wait upon finishing my salad, my waiter returned with the main course. The dish included lobster tail, lightly dressed vegetables, two pieces of hibachi shrimp, and a generous helping of fried rice. The plate was filled with these items, and the presentation made me very excited to eat. The temperature of the foods were perfect, and by the end of the meal, I was delightfully full. The dish was really successful with the vegetables, as they were cooked with great care and the dressing complimented the different vegetables very well. The lobster, shrimp, and rice were good as well, all truly featuring the flavors of the individual items. The lobster seemed to be dressed with the same dressing used on the vegetables, which did improve the flavor of the lobster, however, I felt that the lobster itself could have been better seasoned with salt and pepper to emphasize its flavor and make sure it is the main attraction of the dish. The shrimp and rice seemed to encounter the same issue with seasoning, particularly the rice, which was quite bland by itself, but from what flavor they did have, they interacted with the other components of the dish well. I hope that in the future the food is better seasoned, which would show the skill of the chefs beyond pure culinary skills as I saw during my visit. My meal cost $ 22, which is about average for food of this tier, especially since it was a dish designed for dinner service. The dishes designed for lunch service run at about half price of many of the dinner options, making lunch the better value for someone looking for high-quality food at a lower price. For the experience of the meal from the point of walking in the door to walking out, I felt that I had a very nice and casual experience without compromising the quality of the food. I will gladly return to Kumo to try their other options, with the sushi as a high priority on the list of menu items to try. I am hopeful that Kumo Asian Fusion will breathe new life into Delhi and perhaps bring new restaurants to revitalize the Pike and the surrounding area. I believe Kumo has the potential to do exactly this, and through their pursuit for a high-quality dining experience, that they may thrive. I look forward to my next visit to Kumo, and would recommend it to those who are looking for a very satisfactory dining experience at a very reasonable price. UPDATE5÷15÷2016: On my second visit to Kumo Asian Fusion, I gave the chefs a test: I asked for a sushi roll which was not on the menu. My order, the Volcano Roll, is a roll I very much enjoy at Mr. Sushi. The staff was very willing to take this custom order, even saying they welcome sushi orders like mine. Upon ordering, I handed over a recipe for the roll which I had found online, and was told to return in half an hour, as the roll would take some time for the sole chef to prepare alongside the many dinner orders coming from the dining room. Half an hour later, I returned to pick up the sushi, which had been prepared and boxed up for me to enjoy. The flavors were there, and the roll had been executed according to the recipe I’d given at the restaurant. In regards to pricing, Kumo priced the roll at $ 13, comparable to the equivalent at Mr. Sushi. This experience has improved my confidence in the restaurant, and has me tempted to try another custom order experiment as I find new and exciting choices online and at my favorite sushi spots.

We were back home visiting and craving hibachi. We looked up this place and decided to give it a try. We ordered hibachi chicken, steak & shrimp, chicken pad Thai, and several sushi rolls. With ordering hibachi it came with a soup or salad and we ordered one of each and both were great! The chicken pad Thai was really good! It had a lot of basil but it is really great! The hibachi was especially great! They don’t make it in front of you but it was one of the best hibachi dinners we had! It was so juicy and flavorful. The sushi was surprisingly good! We had three different rolls and it was in par with any high end restaurant. The atmosphere is great and the owners did an amazing job remodeling this place and the service is spectacular! I highly recommend giving this place a try.

This place is FANTASTIC! Wide and interesting menu. The tuna pizza is decadent and the textures are on point. I had the pad Thai, which I am picky about. It was simple and absolutely perfect. My brother had the Thai stir fry. The steak was succulent and the sauce was savory and spicy. They have lunch specials including sushi(which is fantastic here. We ordered the fire roll and it was excellent. Perfect for new sushi eaters) and the whole menu is very affordable.

An absolutely wonderful(and needed) addition to the West side restaurant scene. I was a little nervous about this place, because their location has had a slew of owners & cuisines over the years, and they’ve all failed. But I was SO impressed with Kumo Asian Fusion and am happy to report I will definitely be going back. Arrived with my family on a Saturday night around 6pm — no wait, but the place was bustling! Our waiter was very sweet — he brought us the drink menu & the dinner menus. There are so many options here, it was overwhelming. For appetizers, my sister got the crab rangoon — very standard, served with plain mayonnaise; not my preference. I got the vegetable tempura, which was delicious. For our entrees, my sister got the beef negamaki bento box — this was the best deal ever! 6 pieces of beef wrapped around greens, tempura, shumai, white rice and 6 california roll pieces. I had the hibachi with chicken & shrimp, also excellent. For dessert, we got both the fried cheesecake & the fried ice cream. I loved their green tea ice cream! Everything here was delicious, service was superb, and food was delicious.

Good but I wouldn’t drive more than 20 minutes to eat here. We had the steak hibachi, vegetable tempura and a sushi roll, all were very good tasting and the portions were sufficient. There were a lot of families and the décor wasn’t stellar but that’s what you’re going to get in Dehli. I’d eat there again.

Been here 7 – 8 times. Rice is always a chance if its cooked correctly or not. The meat is questionable. Sushi is ok for natives definitely not for newbies. The soy sauce on the table is disgusting. I seen kids playing with it sticking fingers in it. Silverware is dirty. To go box was styrofoam that flaked all over our food. Just a complete waste of time and money.

This is a hidden gem! Don’t let the exterior fool you. The interior is modern and inviting. The servers were polite and attentive. The menu offers a large assortment of food options… sushi, hibachi, wok, and much more. The food was very tasty. My husband had hibachi shrimp and I had hibachi scallops. They were served with fried rice and soup or salad. Everything was wonderful. They also have a bar with nice drink selections. This is a keeper. Please come out and support them!

No one ever expects quality food when its inside an old Pizza Hut building. Especially if it’s Japanese. I was hesitant to go but I heard good things from word of mouth. The inside is very hip and clean. We ordered crab ragoons to start and they came out extremely hot and the filling just melts in your mouth. We got two speciality rolls, that were amazing, and two standard rolls. It was some of the freshest sushi I’ve ever had. We ended the meal with fried banana, that also came out very hot and with a melted center. The bill was $ 50 so a little pricier than what the usual Delhi restaurant goes for but it was worth it. I can’t wait to go again!

The overwhelming feeling I got from eating here was MEH. Nothing really stood out and some was below average. I do commend the place for a good look, friendly service and vibrant menu(and presentation). Everything I had I just felt like I could get something a bit better not too far from here. Pricing is reasonable and I will definitely try this again. A definite upgrade from the previous business venture at this location. Win wok or Thai Taste would be better options of they serve something you want here. PS… Not sure why I thought BBQ squid in Delhi would be anything other than what it was. The menu is massive and almost overwhelming. May stick to fried foods next time.

Wonderful restaurant. There’s finally an affordable quality Japanese/Asian place that’s just around the corner. I’ve been there twice now. The first time I was in a bit of a hurry, so I went with the Beef Soba Noodle Soup. With many of their noodle dishes you have the choice of having it stir-fried or in a bowl of savoury broth. I chose the soup. It was served hot and fast, and it was very flavorful. Throughout my first visit, It was evident that their attention to detail was spot on. My second visit was on a lazy Sunday. So I had more time to «dig in» a little deeper into the menu. I started things off with the Beef Satay. The plate was arranged beautifully. The beef was juicy and tender, and the lemongrass peanut dipping sauce was amazing. For the main dish, I had the Negimaki Teriyaki Bento Box with a Miso Soup. The soup came first, it was full of mouthwatering Umami goodness. If you haven’t tried miso soup before, this good place to start… Don’t let the tofu and seaweed chase you away. Right after I finished with the Satay and Miso, the Bento arrived. Immediately, I was impressed by the each sections quality, portion size, and presentation. As a whole, I wondered if it wasn’t too much for one sitting(even for me). Negimaki(thin beef wrapped around green onions… almost sushi like in appearance), Shrimp Shumai(dumpling), California Rolls, Tempura, and rice… all tucked away in its own place. Everything was amazing. The tempura was light and crispy, not too oily. The rolls were very tight, well prepared, and would have brought a little«cooling fresh base» to the meal had I not covered them in wasabi hehe. The(Japanese style) shumai was something I hadn’t had before. It was really good. Surrounded by everything else, it had almost a desert quality to it. The outside wrap was firm and almost sweet, and the inside was a delish soft shrimp paste-like filling. The Beef Negimaki was served on a bed of sauted white onion. It was indeed the star of the show. Tasteful and tender. The green onions were not at all overcooked, and still retained their fresh taste throughout the masterful teriyaki flavor of both the beef and the sauce. I loved this place. The service was incredible. No only for myself, but even for the(apparently less than fimilar to Japanese food) couple next to me. They even humbly took a plate back from them at no charge when what they ordered didn’t seem to be what they expected. The only negative in my mind isn’t even something they can control. That seemingly«cursed» building they are located in. I can’t even recall how many restaurants have been in that building in the past 20 years. I’m sure, in most cases, it’s the restaurant to blame. Kumo really seems to know how to run a restaurant. Hopefully the West side will give them a try and see that for themselves. Maybe they’ll stick around for awhile there. they certainly deserve to in my opinion. If you don’t know much about Asian food, and you’ve been thinking of stepping away from the confines of the sweet and sour chicken/fried rice world(they have those too), this is a great local place to start. And so ends my first Unilocal review… be gentle.
