Going here last night looking forward to a Prime Time Burger and our visit didn’t even last 5 minutes. We entered the restaurant to a smell which made my whole family uncomfortable to sit down and eat. The front entry of the restaurant smelled of old musty mop water and uncleanness. We walked to our table in the back of the restaurant and the smell was throughout the restaurant. My only thought was if the sitting area is like this what is the kitchen like. I don’t think I’ll even order takeout from here again. Hopefully, they’ll step there game up again.

I’ve had problems here before but usually with bad parents of unruly kids. This time my problem was intestinal. I’ve never been so sick with stomach cramps after a steak salad and sweet potato in my LIFE! I’m still having stomach trouble 24 hrs later. I don’t know what it was but it hit within minutes of leaving the restaurant. This was a last try for longhorn. In atlanta they used to be great. This location, either I pass the restaurant or I’m gonna pass a lot worse ten min after I leave. What a cesspool. I’m done.

Walked in to a half empty restaurant and was told there would be a 25 minute wait. Then upon sitting we were served the worst loaf of bread we have ever eaten. We are from out of town so we just stopped thinking, how can you go wrong with a steakhouse and well… This is the SLOWEST steakhouse we have ever eaten at. The table next to us just called the manager they have been waiting an hour to eat. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Service was also terrible. They should be shut down!

I went there on the 9-20-2015.Me and my friend ordered. The bread they bring out was old. And I ordered the half rack of ribs and a baked potato, and creamed spinach. And my my ordered the sampler. And it was aa couple sitting in the next booth. My ribs came in about 15 mins. There where burned up! But the server didn’t check. The spinach was dry ! And the portions where small. And the potato was small and cold. My friends sample r was crazy looking! And the salad was dry! And the soup was flat. The mgr came out to ask me about the food ! I told her the little seven bone rib was burnt! I would never go there agaiin! They need to hire more experience cooks. with two cooks in the back .The food should have been a lot better! What a waste!

As we walked in we smelled a musty smell I haven’t been around since college. We couldn’t figure out what it was until we waited for our table and got a drink at the bar. The bar was sticky and smelled like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Hoping that the rest of the place wasn’t the same we took a gamble and had a seat. Our coats and drinks were almost flown away by the hundreds of bar flies and gnats that swarmed around our meal… Will not be returning and hope we don’t get sick

Had dinner here last night and again we were disappointed with the kitchen/service. My Flo’s Filet was overcooked– I sent it back. Still no steak when my 3 dinner companions were on the verge of completing their dinners. I canceled my order in disgust and shared what was left of my husband’s entrée. In all fairness, the manager did personally apologize and discounted the remainder of the bill. But this was NOT the dinner experience we wanted. This is a busy location, but their core competency is steak. Cook it correctly EVERY time.

Excellent porterhouse and filet. Short wait for a Saturday night. Great atmosphere and good service from Kara. Roll me out. Glad I was starving when I got here. Oh yeah, great ranch dressing.

I know that there are some«chain» snobs but as long as a restaurant is doing food well, who cares? I got to taste some of Longhorn’s «Fall into Flavor» menu, the other night — and it was delicious. We were able to try the Sweet Corn Fritters(awesome!), Brew Pub Pretzel Sticks(if you love pretzels, you’ll love these), Wild West Shrimp(spicy shrimp is yum!) and the Spicy Chicken Bites(these were my least favorite). I’m, typically, not a fan of wedge salads(don’t get me started on my rant) but they had some homemade bleu cheese on their Bleu Ridge Wedge Salad that was amazing! Plus, it was loaded with bacon. I picked a filet to eat — yes, I know. A filet is hard to mess up — but, I like steak that’s super tender since I’ll usually flock to fish first. It was cooked to the right temperature, super tender and I love their heavy seasoning. One thing I didn’t like so much? The Potato and Leek Au Gratin. Kind of dry and not much flavor. The seasonal Pumpkin Lava Cake was fabulous — and, I’m a pumpkin crazed freak. ;) While the Chocolate Stampede was huge in stature — it was very rich and a lot to take in. I do like Longhorn — you know what will always be my favorite though? Their hand-breaded chicken fingers and honey mustard. What can I say? I’m simple to please.

We got a grouchy waitress who ruined the experience. She also would allow us to get a lunch combo that every other location will. Food was good but service was very slow and rude.

Prelude: you have to manage expectations when you visit a place like Longhorn; you weren’t expecting a Prime 16 oz. ribeye for $ 21.00 I hope? Prime ribeye at the local butcher in Montgomery will punch you in the face at about $ 24 bucks per pound these days. I’m saying: don’t expect Morton’s or Ruth Chris at Longhorn. But do expect chain excellence. Confession: wife and I lived in metro NYC for a couple years and became food addicts to a Longhorn in central NJ. Always great flavors and stellar service, and the absolute best French Onion soup this side of District St. Germain(no joke). Fast forward to January 2014, and we’ve gotta burn up a parent appreciation dog-sitting gift card. Once again, Longhorn hit home runs all afternoon for us. Great service at 130PM on a Saturday: memorable seasonal menu salad(field greens, tart cherries, fried brie bites, raspberry vinaigrette); always-great burger, this time the black ‘n blue, and cooked(as usual) perfectly pink medium, and with typical Longhorn flavor; 2 beautiful grilled shrimp skewers for wife, plentiful for 12 bucks, over seasoned rice with a side of perfectly cooked deep green broccoli and zucchini. Everything prepared beautifully and served in a perfect rhythm. BTW, I really like the 2011 – 2012 makeover of all the Longhorns. Feels like I’m in Montana again. Nice job of corporate design makeover. Maybe we got lucky with our experience but I hope not, and I don’t think so; would like our return visit to be just as good. Be my longtime friend, Longhorn.

Service was excellent. Erica my server was extremely friendly, quick and attentive. Food was delicious and steak very juicy and tender. An all around great atmosphere to bring family and friends.

During Lunch the service at the bar is fast, and the food comes out hot and ready. The dinner service is not as good at all. Fries came out half old and half new but not hot, probably because the bartender was busy talking and not checking on food for the patrons. Took 10 minutes to get my order in which is just silly. I work locally so I occasionally come here on my lunch break. Lunch time awesome. Dinner time terrible.

Why? Why is a restaurant like LongHorn Steakhouse swarming with customers? Seriously, WHY? Is the market for predictability, conventionality, and safeness in Cincinnati really this large? Everything about LongHorn is pretty boring: Boring clubby-meets-western décor(at least it appeared to be clean), boring menu(clinging desperately to the last century), boring atmosphere(sort of like a more upscale Luby’s). And being aware that LongHorn had pretensions to being a «nice» place to dine, I really dressed to kill for the occasion: button-front shirt, khaki shorts, and my nicest flip-flops. But I had dorked it up for no reason, because dammit if I wasn’t way overdressed: The Official LongHorn Dress Code apparently calls mainly for jorts, garish t-shirts, and puffy white tennis shoes.(Except for that table of gals in the acid-washed denim short-shorts and sports bras; they’d apparently just arrived from a hip-hop video shoot.) And the food? All I got to say is that LongHorn can do better than this. Fluffy, tasteless bread for those who are still afraid of whole grains or crust with character, and ridiculous school lunchroom salads, took me back to(then-coveted) family visits to Ponderosa decades ago. I am about a million miles from being a steak connoisseur, but I know that my sirloin was way too tough. At least they got the medium-rare part right. The wife said her trout was OK, but underseasoned. And LongHorn’s not that cheap. Even burgers exceed $ 10, and you won’t get a steak for less than $ 13 or $ 14. And prices run on up into the 20s. Our server was very young and pleasant enough, but it seemed like the entire staff just wasn’t trained all that well in making for a smooth dining experience. The pacing, etc., was just a bit off. So WHY? As in, WHY did we go? Gift card. (Don’t worry: It wasn’t from a family member or friend.)

Terrible food, overpriced. Run down décor. Tab $ 80+ for mediocre grade steaks, stale salad inattentive service. Head to Precinct for premium, handcut buttery steaks at these prices.

Food: 3 stars Service: 5 stars When I came here, they had a really good«Dinner for Two» deal for $ 25. This included:(1) 1 choice of appetizer OR dessert(2) 2 sides and(3) two entrees. Not bad for $ 25! We ended up ordering the calamari for our appetizer, seasoned fries and caesar salad for our sides, and the steak and smoked salmon for our entrees. The calamari was pretty bland. The breading was very light and actually came off the calamari very easily, making it hard to pick up and dip into the sauce without the breading coming off completely. The calamari itself didn’t have much taste to it. It reminded me of frozen calamari they sell at Kroger in packs and you deep fry in your own kitchen. The sauce was the best part to the calamari dish. Our entrees were tasty but very greasy and buttery. I ordered my steak to be cooked medium, but it definitely was medium well at best. I could hardly see any pink to it at all. The salmon was well seasoned, in my opinion, a better choice than the steak. This also came with the rice pilaf which was drenched in salt and butter. I literally felt like I was eating a stick of butter after finishing my portion. Overall, I felt full but also feel the need to run 5 miles at the gym tomorrow with all the sodium, fat, and grease the food contained. The best part of the night was the service. Our waitress was very attentive and checked up on us a good amount to make sure we were enjoying the food.

Who would have thought a chain would have such good steak? They do a surprisingly good job. My only frustration is that all items are not available at all times.

Food is typically good, service is typically some of the worst. I don’t know why Longhorn doesn’t have a better system for carryout orders, waiting at the bar for my order while the bartender has to bus and take drink orders is not what I would call service. 5 of the last 6 times I have eaten here I was seated in the bar area, which smells of a dirty dish rag, and really felt shoehorned into a corner. So now that I’ve switched to just getting carryout orders, I have to deal with this kind of service. Basically, it’s giving me every reason to find someplace else to eat. Note taken.

We had terrible service on our visit. It was a wednesday evening and not very busy, so there was no reason for it to take 20 minutes to get our food. on top of that my steak was not cooked right and it took them 45 minutes to cook another one!!! Rediculous!!!

Just had dinner there on Saturday. Not somewhere my husband and I would usually go, but we decided to give it a try. It looks like they recently remodeled and it looked great! I had the BBQ chopped salad as my side salad and it was delicious! I had the crab stuffed filet for my entrée and wow! The mashed potatoes were very potatoey but not in a good way. There was a huge glob of butter on top of them that I had to pick off before I was able to eat them. I had a berry mojito and it was not good at all. Would never get that again. Overall dinner was great and would definitely go back, even if just for the salad!
