Mancino’s Pizza

I had one thing I would get over and over when I visited with my best friend: Seafood sub Fake crab, mayo, the works. On an amazing toasted bread. I loved it. It was the best way to spend $ 8…

I went over after reading a couple of glowing reviews here… don’t bother. There are any number of better places to have a ‘grinder’ or sub, for those of us not on the east cost. Penn Station, Jersey Mike’s, Apontes… he!!, even subway. I almost gave it 1 star to combat the inflated reviews, but it is legitimately a 2 star experience. Pass.

Mancino’s Pizza & Grinders has the best Ham & Salami Grinder! I wish, just once, I could go there and order a pizza or even a different grinder, but the Ham & Salami is just that good!
I dip my grinder in a side of pizza sauce and the sauce tastes very good, so I am sure their pizza would be delicious! If that day comes, I’ll let you know…

Mancino’s pizza may be a local favorite but I personally find it a little bland. What really gets my full five stars is their selection of grinders; large and hot sub-​style sandwiches.
The menu is full of many familiar combinations (BLT, Club, etc.) but you can order one of these immense sandwiches any way you’d like. They’re available in half size or whole but even the half warrants being cut in two. These things are massive, loaded with toppings and pretty affordable. I’ve never had a bad sandwich from these guys and their waffle fries make a perfect side.
Visit in the early hours or later in the evening and you might think the modest, golf-​themed décor was layered in dust from the lack of customers, but check ‘em out at lunch time and you’ll see where their business is.
There are also several salad and pizza options on the menu but I haven’t sampled many of them. They have a Pepsi soda fountain and cooler including Sobe and energy drinks. If you’re in the area, forget about Subway, Quiznos, and Jersey Mike’s, Mancino’s is THE best sandwich in town!
