I was referred to Mayfield Clinic for a serious and life altering condition with my spine. After 3 different phone calls spending at least 45 minutes on hold each call, I was told they couldn’t see me for 1.5 months. I dealt with the pain and disability that long. They had sent a link to my email of patient history information that took me about an hour to complete and email back to their Internet system. Finally my appointment date arrived and they told me their system wasn’t working so I had to fill it all out again with pen and paper. Finally the neurosurgeon I was supposed to see sent his physicians assistant to see me instead of himself who I made the appointment with. She reviewed my file and MRI. She told me I didn’t need surgical intervention I needed injections. She said she would set up an appointment for me to recieve the injections at the Mayfield clinic in cincinnati. They couldn’t get me in for 2.5 months. I dealt with the dabilitating pain for that long telling myself it will be worth the wait. Finally the day came for my appointment and the new doctor tells me he has no idea why the physician’s assistant would tell me I need injections. He referred me to another specialist. So once again I got no treatment, I’m disabled, and in immense pain. In my opinion Mayfield Clinic in the Cincinnati area in no way lives up to their hype and reputation. I caution anyone from making an appointment with them.
