On re-review, I’m upgrading this place to 5 stars on the basis that they hit the mark they are aiming for — inexpensive and good quality americanized chinese food — and then some I just had their pepper steak, and it was the best I have had in at least 20 years — and just 4.99 For those of you do not eat red meat — good news, they do this same dish with chicken instead of beef. I also found out today that although their printed menu and menuboard is fairly limited in terms of selections, they have ingredients to several other americanized chinese dishes — like Orange Chicken, for example. If you dont see what you want on their menu, ask if they can make it. The only thing I have had there I thought was just merely OK was the fried wontons. I have added this place to my list of Dining Underdogs in Cincinnati, because with food this good and prices this low, they should have a line out the door, but don’t. Update 20160224: had their roast pork lo mein today. Just outstanding. That same wonderful roast pork, the wok’ed to justy barely crispy veggies including fresh asparagus, and the seasoning was spot on Strongly Recommended

May’s is Excellent! Fresh and tasty. It used to be in Kenwood and when things changed in the plaza they were in, they moved to Roselawn and lowered their prices and its a great deal for excellent fresh food. I took a friend who was not expecting much from a Roselawn Chinese takeout and she was amazed how good it was. Plus Jessie and her husband are really nice. Everything is cooked fresh — the Kung Pao is really good, the Special Fried Rice has a ton of stuff in it — its all good.

I’ve done a lot of traveling and this restaurant nails it!!! Amazing food and it’s so fresh. I give this 5 stars for what for value of the food and the quality that you get for the price. I ordered a meal 5÷28÷15 and it was the best chinese I’ve had in Cincinnati. It’s not quite as good as Chinatown in San Francisco or Boston but I’m judging the food for the price and convenience of the order. One thing you have to know that you cannot judge a book by it’s cover. The restaurant is in a small run down grimy looking plaza. I was shocked when the meal was prepared so fresh and the food was so delicious. This place does not mess around like other places that dish out meals way too fast. I would say that Mays stands out among others in their preparation of the meals and the quality that you get. If you live within this area and you like chinese your a fool not to go there and sadly you’ll be missing out on the best in Cincinnati. Charles Cressy

The food is made to order I had to wait 10 mins after I got it home to let it cool down so that I could eat it. The fried rice is so fresh. They don’t have orange chicken on the menu but she will make it for you. The sesame chicken and the egg rolls are good too.
