Definitely one of my favorite bars /hang out places here! I wish I had discovered this place sooner. Now that we are getting closer to winter it’s going to be rough being outside. This place has a really huge outdoor space to hang out. They also have food vendors. You can also play a game of Janga with their huge giant blocks. Great atmosphere! Their indoor bar space is a bit smaller but adorable.

Not a fan. Went here about a week ago and when I closed my tab out I noticed there were 2 extra drinks on my tab that I did not get. My card was already ran, so I had to get a credit to my card. I am glad I paid attention, otherwise I would have been out $ 13. If I go back I will pay in cash so there is no mistake.

This is my second time coming to Neons. This will now be my go to bar whenever I’m in OTR. What I love about this place is that it’s VERY open and spacious. The patio is what makes this place! It’s cozy, there are plenty places to sit and love the fire pit! The inside of the bar is pretty cool too. Love the old school juke box, simple décor and atmosphere. The bartenders are always quick to get my drinks and the pricing is reasonable. They have a good selection on tap and have most top shelf liquor you can think of. From time to time, Mazunte(Mexican food) is also at Neons to serve up quick meals. I can go on and tell you how much I love this joint, but I will end my review with a simple… This bar rocks!

I’m from Chicago and have been to this place twice now, the first time being four years ago. This place has a pretty fantastic patio and a great vibe. The life sized Jenga is also an added bonus. I however was appalled to find out that they concreted over the bocce ball court. I feel like that was a real focal point for meeting new people and just having a great time. Bocce ball courts are few and far between so you should never get rid of a gem like that. I feel like the owner really sold out on that one!

This place has been a staple for me and my friends on the west side of town and or downtown Cincinnati if you will. We love to go downtown to neons unplugged enjoy all the mixed cocktails and/or craft beers at that rate. Meet new people play bocce ball. Also play pool upstairs. The diversity amongst the food and the drink is so inviting. It truly is the hip place to be downtown. If it’s remotely good weather outside. The outside bar at neons unplugged is the place to be. They always have a grill going, they are dog friendly if you decide to bring your best friend other than the significant other of course. The place is awesome!

Neon’s is the go to classic bar in OTR — huge outdoor patio to sit and enjoy craft beer, craft cocktail and catch up with old friends as well as make new friends any day of the week, busy weekend evenings, active & enthusiastic Sunday football crowd. Plus Mazunte serves their amazing food on a few nights a week. Nothing better than a local craft beer on Neon’s patio in the heart of Over The Rhine.

Neon’s Unplugged is a perfect in the spring, summer, and fall and even better in the winter bar in OTR. Their outdoor beer garden/patio brings in people, dogs, giant Jenga tournaments and grill-outs during the warmer months, and their unique and boutique indoor bar and sitting area make a cozy setting during the colder evenings. It is a relaxed and chill bar, offering the perfect location for all kinds of people to socialize. From all the times I have stopped in, whether with a few friends or a large group, the quality of Neon’s has always surpassed my expectations. Stop in and enjoy either area with a plentiful range of options to drink! One tip: Check out Neon’s social media pages! They are constantly holding outdoor events(movies, special food series, etc.) and it is a great way to get the low down on what is happening.

Neon’s is my favorite good weather bar in OTR, rhyme not intended. Their outdoor, dog friendly area is ideal for large groups who are loud and like to mingle. The service is outstanding and the drinks are always good. The indoor area is just as cool. A bit smaller, it has the feel of a local place, very intimidate, especially in the colder months.

This is a cool beer garden place. Its very trendy and full of hipsters. We came on a Saturday night and the place was packed and the line at the bar to get a drink was long. There was also a long line to get into the place but it moved pretty quickly. We even got to play a game of giant Jenga which was fun in theory but not so fun when the huge wood chips would fall off and you had to make sure it didn’t crush your toes.

I love coming here in the summertime and sitting on the giant outdoor patio. It’s a very laid back vibe where you’ll find all different types of people. It gets elbow to elbow in the winter so come early if you don’t want to be fighting for a drink at the bar.

This is one of my favorite places to go to when in Cincinnati! Great drinks and cool spot to chill with friends and people/dog watch. It does get very crowded but I usually find a good spot to sit and always get quick service. Their handcrafted infusions are always worth a try and I always pick one their handcrafted, infused drink of the week!

Had a blast at Neons for a bachelorette party. Played outdoor Jenga and enjoyed the occasional dog that was hanging out. Delicious poblano strawberry punch. The indoor bar was very relaxed. The outdoor courtyard area was gorgeous with hanging lights and easy to find seating for a group. Great time

Neons is big and is typically packed on the weekends. The interior bar had a nice staff with good service, but the patio is where it’s at. Huge outdoor space with tableau, chairs, big Jenga, and a spot for food. Local vendors cook out at different times during the week so it always offers different cuisine. Nice location downtown and a good place to end the night.

I’ve always been a fan and now that I“m a dog owner, I love it even more! Not only do they have a ton of outside seating, it’s also tree covered which is nice, so you’re not baking in the sun. They have 3 water stations set up for dogs to have water. Outside bar and grill. hot dogs and burgers with all the toppings you can imagine. But my favorite part, other than being able to bring Hank is the life size jenga! So Fun! They have, I think, 3 or 4 of them outside and it’s such a fun way to play with friends or meet new people! I will be here a bunch this summer and I can’t wait! :)

We went here over the weekend with some friends and brought the dogs with us! It’s got a great atmosphere and everyone there is very friendly! I love that it is a pet friendly bar and they have activities like giant Jenga to play! The drinks are unique and they have a great variety. I like the daily drinks they have to offer, especially the mixed drinks! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because of the limiting seating. This is a great place to stop at if you’re in OTR and just want to grab drinks!

I loved my craft cocktail. Walnut bitters and egg white? Yes please. The juke box is one of the main attractions here. Overall this place has really good laid back vibes with a large courtyard, plenty of overgrown ivy, and awesome décor. The service was nice, but not incredible. Their specials menu only had 2 – 4 drinks. The bar tender told me they«had all these infusions» you could mix with your favorite liquor. I didn’t feel like I had a license to bug him to tell me about all those different infusions, so I opted for a special. I generally like to trust my awesome bartender, but maybe someday down the road I’ll explore all these infusions. The trouble is I’m not a mixologist and I would hate to waste $ 9 on something I don’t like. I will definitely be back though! This place would be perfect if it wasn’t SOCROWDED

Let’s be honest: Neons is probably the most popular bar in to frequent in OTR for over half the year and it’s for good reasons. Their patio is amazing and their drinks are competitively priced. It’s just a great place; top notch mixed drinks, eclectic décor, two stories of indoor bar, huge patio outdoors, outside bar, grill, tons of seating, and it’s dog friendly. Even when everywhere is packed on a Friday night, you can still manage to hang out at Neons without feeling claustrophobic.

Neon’s is my usual hangout on the weekends for a few reasons: 1. The atmosphere is great. I love a good outdoor patio, and this place feels like your best friend’s backyard. There’s patio furniture, a few trees, giant jenga(which I suck at, by the way), and it’s overall just very chill. It’s not too loud, so you can actually talk(what a novel idea!), and it’s pretty big so there’s plenty of room to move around, unlike most places in OTR or downtown. 2. The clientele is a great mix of people! Essentially, if you’re cool, you go to Neon’s(says the girl that goes to Neon’s). It’s not just hipsters(though that is a huge portion of the key demographic for this place), and everyone is really nice. I’ve met so many cool people and just chatted with strangers over Jenga or what cocktails to order at the bar. Plus it’s dog friendly! If you are single and looking to mingle, and you have a dog, this should be your number one stop to meet people. 3. The beer selection and the cocktails are on point. I usually get whatever the specialty cocktail or punch is of the night, and I’ve never been disappointed. Everything is fresh and unique, and I am always impressed with what the bartenders come up with. The only issue is the area outside of the bar is not super nice at night. Make sure you travel in groups, ladies! If you’re there on a weekend, there’s normally so many people out you don’t need to be concerned, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Neon’s is my kind of place. Definitely a cool, casual place to hang out. It’s just off of Main in OTR. They’ve got a pretty big patio area, and I’ve heard that it’s pet-friendly! I’ll definitely be back when it’s warmer again. Don’t let that stop you from coming here in the winter. They have some outrageously delicious homemade cider, that you can spike with brandy or bourbon! It’s so yummy, but if you have them spike it, they make it pretty strong. If that’s not up your alley, they’ve got a great selection of beers!
