This is a great facility with friendly staff members. I am older(okay, VERY old, compared to the average PBT member) and only tan about once each week for about six months each year; I love the cleanliness and atmosphere of Palm Beach Tan. I have fair skin and have never once burned at PBT, which I attribute to the quality of the beds and the expertise of the staff. I live about 45 minutes from the Beechmont PBT, but I’ll gladly make the trip to go there and the facility is far superior to other tanning places in the area. I also appreciate the little discounts and upgrades, even though I don’t take advantage of them every time. I would especially like to compliment the staff here – they are always friendly, upbeat and prompt. I’m a high school teacher and going to PBT once a week is usually my relax and(short) nap time – it’s awesome!

If you are in search of a good spray tan in a professional environment: go to Alba in Cincinnati. Same price as PBT, but it is a personal, organic spray tan and not a machine. Just stay away from PBT if you don’t have time to deal with unprofessional headaches. This is my first Unilocal post, but I felt compelled to warn other people who were looking for a place to tan/spray tan. I went for a few months last year and never had a problem, so I put my account on hold for the summer. They charge you $ 8 something a month for this, but you get they credit this money to your account. I went in a few weeks ago to open my account back up and get a spray tan. The consultant was very motivated to sell me a lotion with the money I built up. She was showing me $ 80 – 100 lotions telling me I would only pay $ 30(with my account money applied). I politely listened without interrupting her(mostly because I used to work at a chain tanning salon and knew it is her job and how she makes money). I then told her I wasn’t even sure I wanted to continue tanning so I didn’t really need a lotion and asked if I could use the money toward my spray tan or toward my next month’s fee. She told me that the money could only be used for retail. I told her that was not made clear to me when I put my account on hold, but trying to play ball I asked her if there were any lotions in the store that were within the money I had accumulated on my account(roughly $ 55). She looked at me like I was crazy and said there are no lotions I could get for«free» that day.(It wasn’t free– I had paid the money into my account over several months. It wasn’t just given to me.) This entire time I had the feeling I wasn’t being told the entire truth, but when she told me there were no lotions under $ 50 I knew she was lying. My fiancé had purchased a lotion for me with money from his account just a couple of months before(roughly $ 30). I should have walked out the door at that point but I wanted to get a spray. So I paid for the spray. I immediately tried to call customer service and it went to voicemail. I then emailed my issue knowing I wouldn’t get an answer from the local salon employee. Corporate emailed explaining that The money on my account could not be used for future months’ payments but could be used to pay for spray tans or products. I then informed them that the employee charged me for the spray tan when she could have used my account money and that due to this I was done with their company. I finally went in today to see if another employee was working who could help me. The same girl was working. She clearly knew about my complaint to corporate because she asked me if I had gotten in contact with her DM and tried to explain away why she had charged me for my spray when she shouldn’t have. Note to corporate: don’t disclose personal information to your employees about the customers who complain to you. Had I wanted to stay with your company, it would have been completely uncomfortable for me to do so knowing this employee was aware I called her out to her bosses. Completely unprofessional atmosphere.

Okay. I’m reasonable. The location is convenient and clean and the equipment is nice, but I really wish they would hire better people. In the whole time I’ve been there, there has been one girl that acts like she has her head on her shoulders and is doing her job. The rest of them seem annoyed to be at work and are very curt with me. They are not very polite and never answer my questions. So I really like the place and the place would get a five. The quality of employees makes this a two. Hope this is helpful in making some positive changes to the establishment.

I went to tan this afternoon and everything started fine. About one minute in country music starts playing so loud I find not hear what I was listening to with ear buds. About two minutes rock music started playing just as loud. The combination of the two was more the I could take. I ended my tanning session after five minutes. The girl at the front desk had a snotty attitude and told me there was nothing she could do. Will not return

I’ve been to other Palm Beach Tanning locations, but I have never spray tanned here. I am very disappointed with the customer service here. I was not explained the different options for a spray tan and the associate seemed annoyed when I asked questions. She listed options without explanation. It made me feel unwelcome and discouraged me from returning. I will definitely pick either another location for my next spray tan, or I will return to the other salon that I go to.

Very clean, prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly. I’ve been for four sessions so far, and haven’t had to wait to get a booth. Very pleased.
