Park Place at Lytle is the largest Condo unit downtown, with 115 units. It is also the only larger building downtown that I know of where each unit has been sold. I must admit I have some bias towards the building since I live there. I had lived downtown about 11 years before I bought a place, I was not going to leave downtwon, so was waiting for an acceptable place before I bought something. I was looking forward bigger building with some of the admenties a larger building has. Mainly, some of the admenties that an apartment building has. I order online a fair amount and like having someone at the front door who can accept packages for me. Widmer cleaners stop by our building each workday and you can get a bag from them and put your dry cleaning bag on the outside of your door and 3 days later if will reappear cleanned downstairs. The night personnel will pick it up from your door. Other people I know downtown refer to Park Place as the downtown suburbs, I understand the comparison, being on 5th street it is still in the heart of downtown, but this area is very quiet compared to the rest of downtown. Also you do not have any other condos/apartmetns directly across from your windows. Another great thing about the building is that it is a very social building. Our Condo owners association even has a social committee. I gained another appreciation of this building when I went on vacation this year with some friends of mine who live in a large condo building in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, they had to get friends of their outside their building to take care of their plants, while they were gone. I was able to get my next door neighbour to do it and if she had not been available, there was other people in my building who I could have asked.

Wow. Wow wow wow. I could not have been more impressed while walking through here. I was there for a Labor Day fireworks show to watch from the balcony of my friend Mike M and from the moment I walked in, it was impressive. Park Place at Lytle is tucked away downtown, across the street from the Taft Museum(which is, in itself, a hidden gem.) The building is old and has such beautiful architecture. However, it’s clear that sometime back they gutted everything and modernized it. Because this is a slick place to live. We were greeted by a person who opened the door for us(I don’t think that was his job though, but he just worked there and happened to be by the door) and then met a doorman at a desk who crossed us off a list and let us in. It’s so beautiful here. You walk through a maze of hallways to get to the apartment you’re going to, but it’s just so calm and peaceful. Almost like walking through a hotel. The apartment really impressed. It was grand, with giant bookcases(that you need a sliding ladder to get to the top of — now that’s cool!), speakers built into the wall and a ceiling fan outside on the porch. It’s the little touches that are so nice. There’s a fake fireplace with a fake fire. That seemed a little unnecessary. Did they really need to build in a fireplace just to put a fake fireplace there? I don’t know. What a view though! Overlooking the river on the balcony, you can see all the bridges connecting Cincinnati to Kentucky. Damn The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is I have no idea what it’s like to live there, so my review is just based on a few hours in a lovely apartment. Still, it impressed the hell out of me it did. This is a swanky place to live.
