Absolutely love Pet Wants! Can’t believe I haven’t written a review yet. I’ve been purchasing pet food here for the past few years. My cat was diagnosed with kidney stones and I was told this would be a lifelong issue, so I was looking for a natural, healthy alternative to the pet food at the grocery store. He’s had no issues since the switch.
I also buy my dog’s food here. He’s always getting compliments on how shiny his coat is.
As much as people are concerned with what we’re consuming and putting into our bodies, we should be aware of what we’re feeding our furry critters.

It’s not easy to shop local when it comes to feeding your pets, but Pet Wants solves that problem for those who live in the Cincinnati area. And they deliver! And they pay their employees $ 15 an hour!
I love going to Pet Wants for treats for my dog (cookies range from $ 1 to $ 3) and really like the Vine Street and Findlay Market locations, which also have frozen treats, chew toys, and novelties like poop bags. The workers are always friendly and helpful, especially as I transition to feeding my dog Pet Wants food full time. I absolutely love having this place at my disposal, and will continue patronizing as often as I can.

Always excited to find a new place to help me spoil my dog! Stopped in on Monday and picked up some peanut butter cookies for my dog and she LOVED them! Also got some beef jerky for her. Will definitely be back to pick up some more treats! Friendly staff and a cute doggie to pet while I was shopping!

I stopped in Pet Wants on Christmas Eve to grab a few treats for our family pooches. I was greeted by a friendly young lady who was working behind the counter. She was very welcoming and very helpful as she helped me pick out treats for my pets. She also educated me about the awesome foods that they offer for pets. I must mention how impressed I was with the store being clean and tidy. It didn’t smell at all like a typical pet store. As someone with pretty strong pet allergies, that’s something that I can certainly appreciate!

Wonderful home made kibble with minimal fillers. Nice all natural products for pets as well as vitamins and probiotics. Store manager was very knowledgable of all the products in the store and provided thorough information on how their kibble and products they make. And they deliver!

This is the only food my dog will eat. We get the wet (frozen) beef stew.

My husband and I usually go to the Findlay Market location, but wanted to check this place out. We were looking for the Vegan dental treats for our Frenchie. They did not carry them at this store and only keep them in stocked at the other location. It was cool… because we were able to chat with the employee and learned that this is where they make all the food and and baked goods. We purchased the chicken and rice hard food once a month and our dog loves it.
We ended up buying the soft wet food (in the frozen section with the pawsicle treats) which is the beef stew for $ 4.50 (16 ounces). Ingredients are all natural –USA round beef, sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans, brown rice, etc. Also got peanut butter cookies.
So glad we dropped by!

Pet Wants is where I’ve started getting my cat food for my very picky kitties. Both of them loved the regular adult dry cat food and it’s only a little more expensive than buying Iams at the grocery store! However the benefit is that my kitties eat less, get sick to their stomach less often and are have developed super shiny coats!
Every person I run into at Pet Wants just seem like genuinely good people who just love animals! One day I stood there and talked to the cashier for a solid 15 minutes about weird cat habits and I didn’t leave feeling like a crazy cat lady! Instead of the cashier traded story for story and seemed to enjoy the cat antics as much as I did!

Discovered these guys when they generously gave us full pound samples of their dog food at Hyde Park Dog’s Night Out this summer at Graeters. Turns out our pup LOVES their food. We ordered buffalo/​duck mix, delivered right to our door, and our pup is in doggy dining heaven. It is quite a bit more expensive than what we used to buy at Petsmart, but we love that it is a local company and they promise they put good quality products and love into every bite.

Actually, Jackie wants! This place is the dog-​diggity! Where else can you find high-​quality dog food at an affordable price and a convenient location? Leash that up with knowledgeable owners, a great selection of paw-​lickin’ treats and the fact that it’s LOCALLY MADE! Stop in for your pet outfitting or just to hang out and pet — there’s an adorable cat that hangs out at the shop. Just make sure it’s the alive cat and not the stuffed cat in the window (weird, I know). Pro-​tip: Pick up a hoof for about a buck to keep your dog entertained for hours.

I’ve only been to the store at Findlay. Employees are super helpful and really know their products. Plus, they own the largest dog I have ever seen in my life. And he often plops across the entrance and takes up half the store.
After picking out a catnip toy, they recommended another simpler cheaper toy to go along with it, saying that customers raved about them. Sure enough, the cats went crazy. Which is extra surprising because one of my cats had never shown any interest at all in catnip until that moment. I also purchased some organic cat grass that grows right out of the bag that they enjoyed.
I’m considering switching my cats to their brand of food as well. If only changing cat food was easy… errr. They can deliver the food to your house but Picnic and Pantry in Northside also carries one flavor or dog and cat food. Very convenient!
Minus one star because I definitely sense they are dog lovers and I’d like to see a little more selection in cat treats and toys.

It’s been a long time coming, but I am finally gonna review Pet Wants. I just wanted give them the proper amount of time to prove themselves. Ok, who am I kidding, I am lying through my teeth. The first time I walked into Pet Wants and purchased my first bag of dog food I was sold (as was the bag of dog food… hehe).
Pet Wants’ food is locally produced and doesn’t contain all of the fillers dog food in the grocery have. Not only is it much healthier than the others but it is actually cheaper in some cases. $ 2 – 2.50 a pound for options like chicken and rice, salmon and rice, and lamb and rice. They also offer options for puppy food, lean options as well as maintenance food for the chubby puppies.
The staff is very knowledgable and are always willing to provide advice on what your best friend needs. They are also willing to provide information on where their food comes from. Oh and did I mention they deliver. Yeah, free delivery. Simply go to their website and set up what kind of food you want, how often you want it delivered and how much and bingo bango, food at your doorstep.
Along with the food for canines and felines there are good treat options, pet toys and dog bones. I suggest the bully stick, it’s a bull’s…well you get it. I believe they also offer frozen treats for those warmer dog days. Overall Pet Wants is the healthiest, most convenient, cheapest option in town. Much easier than running to Kroger or PetSmart for your food. I implore you to get your «pet wants» here. You won’t be disappointed.

We’ve always gone to the store at Findlay, but really love being on Vine St., so we’ve gone to this location a couple times (we just moved back to Cincinnati) and it’s awesome. Just like at Findlay, the girls working there are really personable and awesome. The only downside to this location is that their inventory is a lot smaller, but we usually only get dog food, so if we ever need some special, we can just run down the street to the market, so no big deal.
