The place is just ok… and does not allow call in orders. Have you ever heard of a pizza place that only allows you to place an order online??? Great for on the go mom’s who are picking up on the way home. Thanks anyways.

In the Mariemont area, this is probably the best pizza I have had so far! The best thing is a pizza is only $ 7 and you can eat it all yourself! It’s a perfect size. I got the Margherita pizza, which I loved that it had pesto on it. Love that the pizza is made in a brick oven and has an authentic taste. I called ahead and only had to wait a few minutes when I got there to pick up my pizza. It had a cool vibe. It seems meh from the outside, but the décor is actually pretty nice inside for a pizza place. This place is busy because it’s so delicious! If you want a solid pizza, I would definitely recommend Pizzelii.

I ate here for the first time today, for a lunch with 22 friends(all paying separately), and we were all amazed at how good the food tasted and looked, and it was ready very fast! We will be back! Everyone said that their pizzas and salads were fantastic. My spinach salad was super tasty! My vegan friend got the veggie pizza, ordered with NO cheese, and she added tomatoes & spinach and she said it was so good that she’d be back even though she lives in West Chester! Our server Claudia did a great job bringing all of our food to us. This place has lots of space, and holds up to 150. It did get noisy with 23 women yakking.

We were in the area and decided to pop in. Little bit different than your standard pizza place but pretty good.

I have to say that the service here is always top notch. The employees generally exude the attitude that they care about you enjoying your meal. The quick order at the counter concept is great for families. It is an easy place to go with good quality food and good service at a fair price.

Just ok. For the same style with a much cheaper price, I’ll take a Blaze Pisa any day. The anchovies are to be skipped. Mushy and lacking any flavor other than bad. The egg on my pizza was forgettable too. It’s very easy to rack up a very expensive mediocre pizza. I will try it again but without te same excitement as my first attempt.

We came in with a group of about 13 rowdy teenaged soccer players. My husband and I split a large caprese salad and a small bbq chicken pizza which was more than enough. The salad was very fresh and had a unique flavor… The pizza was reminiscent of Dewey’s. Our bill was about $ 16. The staff was very nice and friendly.

I definitely love this place! My fav is making a white pizza with artichokes chicken and mushroom. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, just what a pizza place should be! Friendly, patient, helpful staff. I highly recommend this place!

Budget and family friendly. Good tasting pizza. You can watch as your pizza is being made. Only complaint was they ran out of plates and we had to use paper plates. We ordered a classical cheese, a pepperoni, and a sausage pizza. Really liked the coke freestyle machine.

I really love this place. I am a diabetic when I come to this establishment, I have a zillion of low sugar drinks to choose from and they taste great :) I am not told«All we have is Diet Coke or Sugar Free Ice Tea.» I love the pizza as well. If you are a fellow diabetic, you can make your own pizza and it comes out lighting fast. So, if your blood sugar is low, you do not have to worry about having to wait hours on end to eat. On the Coke Freestyle, they have two big machines, never have had to really wait for them and this was on Friday or Saturday nights. Yes, I know how some of you feel, I have a blood sugar score of 42. I have more of an issue with low blood sugar than high blood sugar. Diabetic or non-diabetic, Pizzelii’s is a winner.

I came with a nice size group for the first time. I ordered their special of the month BBQ Chicken Pizza and my wife ordered a specialty pizza with her own toppings choice. The nice thing with their pizza is they are a good size to share. So we ended up sharing/trading pizzas so I ended up trying 4 different types of pizza. I have to sat the Cincy Goetta was good but I was expecting more of a true traditional pizza but it was really good. It reminded me of a breakfast pizza. :) Everything we had was really good. We even ended up going up and ordering the Nutella and Strawberries pi and it was amazing! So next time I visit the east side that is a good stop for pizza!

It’s amazing how many pizzerias overdo pizza. These guys got it right though. Simple concept, well executed in a nicely repurposed no frills building in Mariemont. The menu and pricing is simple, the ingredients are well thought and good quality. $ 8.50 gets you a handmade pizza, there’s a choice of 6 or so pre-designed pies enough for one hungry person.(The Goetta pizza might be attractive to locals) and the gluten free option is nice. These are handmade pies with thin but not too crispy crust. You can alternately choose from a list of ingredients and concoct your own. We had the Carni and the Chicken, very different pizzas but equally good, with a side salad. Service was good, do it your self drinks and spices. The interior had plenty of room was clean and presented well with the usual large screens. Went on a Monday afternoon, very low key time.

Clean, friendly and quick. First time here. Definitely will return. Pizza was amazing! Not busy for a Friday lunch time rush. We were in and out in half hour.

On busy Friday and Saturday nights, this place reminds me of a high school cafeteria. Or feeding time at the zoo. The volume can get thunderously loud since there are no sound-absorbing features inside this spacious and very open restaurant. Because of the openness, the self-serve soda fountain, and the fact that they have very attentive staff to check on your regularly, there are always people milling around. Constant commotion. That’s why we prefer to go on week nights or for lunch on the weekends. The pizzas, when cooked the proper amount of time, come out just about as close to very good Neapolitan style as you can expect around here. Their salads are huge, fresh, and a great deal. Wish the salad dressings were homemade. They always have at least one beer on tap that I love. Overall, it’s an above average pizza place on the east side of Cincinnati that’s casual, affordable, and fun(especially if you are a student at Turpin Hills high school because you will probably run into a bunch of your friends).

Pizzelii!!! I have been waiting to check this place out for-ev-er! We finally made our way to pizzelli after a long day of drinking as a pit stop for«50 West Fest» that was going on. What we ordered: — The Margherita Pizza(tomato sauce, pesto, mozzarella) This pizza was good, but the tomato sauce kind of lacked in flavor. For picky eaters this one is probably the way to go though. — The Cincy Goetta(goetta with apple-smoked bacon, fresh egg, an italian blend of mozzarella & provolone, dressed with maple syrup) This pizza was the bomb diggity. And for only $ 8 bucks it was a steal! Flavor was there. Reminded me of a breakfast pizza. Not a huge fan of the sweetness from the syrup but it was pipping hot and delicious. If I were to go back I would totally order the Cincy Goetta again. It was different and a huge crowd pleaser. My only complaint is this place is only open until 10:00pm even on the weekends. Being the only restaurant next to a Brewery you would think it would stay open later and make some«dough» hahah see what I did there? Either way Pizzelii is a solid little brick oven pizza joint. Very casual and laid back. Great pizzas! Check them out.

I have gone from being annoyed by the crowded Romper Room chaos at Pizzelii to wondering whether this restaurant will do enough business on weeknights to stay open. And it definitely deserves to stay open and succeed. It’s time to bump this rating up. We’ve been several times on weekday evenings and for weekend lunch, when the crowds were quite a bit sparser and Pizzelii was running quite a bit more smoothly than I describe in my original review. And the pizza, which was already solid to begin with, has gotten incrementally better. The crust has become more consistent: just the right level of crispness and black char. It’s not certified Pizza Napoletana by any means, but it’s among the better pizza in the Cincinnati area. The restaurant still has that mall-ish, suburban-school-lunchroom atmosphere, which isn’t much of a draw, but the pizza itself is why you should come here. Plus, it’s really reasoanbly priced. And there is a short list of good beer. P. S. A word to the wise for both customers and staff: This is a pizza restaurant, not a Latin one. «Pollo» is not pronounced«poyo» in Italian.

Pizzelii is a fast and casual brick oven pizza restaurant on Route 50 that just opened at the beginning of February. This past Friday, after visiting the Fifty West Brewing Company, which sits directly across the street, my family and I decided to give it a try. An open air kitchen greets guests as they walk in the door. On our visit Gary Gottenbusch, one of the owners and also an owner of Servatii, greeted us as we walked inside. He was happy to give us a quick introduction to the menu that is hanging above the ordering counter as well as fill us in on some of the facts of Pizzelii. It turns out that everything is made fresh in the restaurant and there are no freezers on site. Orders are placed at a counter adjacent to the kitchen. Only one size of pizza is offered and it is a thin ten inch. You can create your own pizza starting at $ 6 with either the classico(crushed San Marzano tomatoes) or the bianca(garlic infused extra virgin olive oil). Both are topped with a mozzarella and provolone blend and toppings can be added for a dollar each. Also available are specialty«piis» for $ 8 and a few salad offerings. Four beers are available on tap, including one from Fifty West. Bottled beer, wine, and soda are also available. They are the only independent restaurant in Ohio that has a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. After orders are placed you receive a number from the cashier, and you can then seat yourself in the extremely large dining area that is packed full with tables. A secondary bar is available at the rear of the dining area for additional alcoholic beverages. The brick oven cooks the pizza between 800 and 1200 degrees, so it doesn’t take more than a few minutes for orders to arrive at your chosen table. I ordered the daily special, which was a bianca pizza topped with goat cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, and drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette($ 8). It arrived hot from the oven and after a minute or two to cool I immediately grabbed a slice. On my first bite I was impressed. The crust was dense, chewy, and crisp on the outside. The goat cheese added a great flavor to compliment the other more subtle ingredients. In my opinion, this pizza should be on the daily menu. My wife ordered the margherita with red sauce, fresh buffalo mozzarella, basil, and garlic infused extra virgin olive oil($ 8). This pizza definitely needed more toppings and sauce. The sauce was spread so thin on top of the crust that it became very dry and mostly baked into the crust. The mozzarella and basil tasted great, but I wanted a little more of each, the cheese especially. I did find that extra sauce is available in plastic cups, which helped somewhat, but I still would prefer a little more on the pizza itself. Though the restaurant is counter service, we still experienced wonderful service. When the owner found out that our group was out celebrating my birthday, he kindly dropped off a delicious cinnamon apple dessert pizza for us all to share. Earlier in the meal when a miscommunication in our group left us one pizza short, the young employee that dropped off our order was happy to take an additional order from us while we stayed in our seats. I think with time the small issues I had with some of the food should be worked out to match the excellent service.

I’m teetering here between ¾ stars, but I’d say its closer to a 4. I’m happy to see more things coming into Mariemont, and I would definitely come back here. The crust is super yummy — light, airy, and lovely. The sauce is meh — even my husband who hates sauce said he wished there were a bit more because the pizza was a bit dry. Cheese was okay — about what the other pizza places use around Cincinnati, and they have no options to add on nicer or different cheeses really. That’s where Dewey’s and Newport Pizza Co win out to me — I wish Pizzelii would add a few more toppings. Their pizzas are around 8 dollars with toppings. We tried onion and bacon and pepperoni and garlic. The toppings were the best part — they use a good amount of topping and whole cloves of garlic. Bacon and pepperoni were okay — but my friend’s veggie pizza was full of really yummy things. I’d come back and choose veggies for sure. They have a small collection of beer and wine and a single Coke freestyle machine, which I imagine could be annoying when it gets busy. Note: They have water dispensers on the counter to the left of the Coke Freestyle machine near the napkins and stuff. It’s not worth crowding/waiting at the machine to get water. The décor is fine — it’s like a high end cafeteria to me. Nothing special — but clean and family friendly!

In the mood for something Italian, I remembered hearing that this place was open. I was thinking an Italian sub or pasta, but would roll with pizza if that was all there was. And that’s all there was. That’s fine. The look/overall feel of the place was a different kind of dining experience. It kind-of reminded me of something like a City Barbecue, Tom & Chee, or Smashburger. You order upon walking in the door, get a number card, and find a seat. There is a station with red pepper and parmisan cheese shakers, silverware, napkins, etc. and one of those Coke machines with 1000s of flavor combos. It felt kind-of cafeteria-like, though it seems to work at places like City Barbecue, it seems a little odd in a wood oven pizza place with«gourmet toppings» at the foot of Indian Hill. The pizza itself(I got the Margherita) was pretty tasty. I loved the use of buffalo mozzarella, as it’s just creamier and plain better in a Margherita pizza. 10″ personal pizzas are fine with me, but it was surprising that they only had one size. The overall brevity of the menu was also surprising. There were 5 specialty pizzas and 3 salads. That’s it.(and make your own pies). They use decent ingredients, though toppings are limited as well. In summation, I’d say that it felt a little like a Ci Ci’s Pizza that actually makes good pizza. Sort-of a cafeteria-ish style in look and feel that makes hand-tossed good pizza. I’d say that this is a great lunch place, quick service, good food. Overall feel of the place seemed rushed, quick in, quick out. It would do very well downtown. Good food, good ingredients, place/feel seemed a little fast food.
