Point Blank West

Very pleased with my service at Point Blank West. The salesman was very helpful when I was picking my transfer up from another location. Very friendly also.

Great location and facility but piss poor employees. The range officers are useless as they allow rapid fire even though their range by laws say otherwise.

Very clean and open shop. They had an extremely large selection of AR platforms and handguns but were lacking in the rifles and shotguns. All of the staff was nice and ready to help. If they didn’t have an answer they knew the guy who did.
There are plenty of spots on the range too. It gets crowded on the weekends but is open most of week. They allow up to .50 caliber and have a great selection of rentals.

Visited Point Blank West for the first time tonight to use the range. The were having «Date Night» and 2 people could use a lane for $ 15. Jeremy was very friendly and helpful throughout our check in and we got a pair of lanes in less than 10 minutes even though the range was very busy. The facility is well maintained and organized. They have a great selection of both handguns and rifles. Prices are a little higher than retail but comparable to other local gun stores. Ammo prices and availability were also good. I just moved to local area from North Carolina where I had a few favorite ranges and will now use Point Blank West. I highly recommend this location for range use and weapons purchases.

I received a Groupon for Point Blank’s Basic Handgun Course as a birthday gift. After a couple of months (on my part, not theirs,) I was finally able to sign up for the class.
The class itself was very informative. Rob, an ex-​Marine & ex-​law enforcement officer was the instructor. I appreciated the additional insight, tips, and information Rob include, that wasn’t in our book. He really took the time to answer everyone’s questions. No question was too small. Everyone in the class seemed confident by the end. After taking this course, I feel like I have the knowledge needed to be a responsible handgun owner.
Point Blank is cleaner and better maintained than other gun shops I have been to. Items were displayed well with no visible clutter. The range was also neat and clean. During the class, Rob mentioned how seriously Point Blank takes cleanliness; that they test lower than the legal limits for lead. I have read elsewhere complaints that Point Blank is more expensive than their competitors. While I always like to get the best deal, this is one of the few instances I am willing to pay more. A few extra dollars to reduce lead exposure is worth it.
