This is not called the Respite Center anymore. It is now called Hamilton Place and is a program of Talbert House. The program serves adults with mental health diagnosis who are homeless. It is referred to as «quick access» housing as residents can move in on the day they are referred. They can stay for 30 days with a possibility of a 15 day extension and are charged 66% of their income for room and board fees. If they have no money there is no fee. All referrals for this program have to go through triage at Mental Health Access Point and all referrals need to have case management services. The program provides 3 meals a day, laundry, cable a bed with linens and access to a telephone dedicated to the residents of the home. The program serves up to 16 individuals at once and about 180 people a year and is a great asset to the surrounding community. Most folks don’t even know it’s there because there is no signage. They are doing a great service to the community here! Good job guys!
