I have been trying to schedule a nail appointment with Kendra for so long, that my Living Social deal has actually expired! I’m going to attempt to get a refund through them because this is just ridiculous. How do you run a business if there is no one there to provide the service you advertise?! So unprofessional.

Its unfortunate that one of the filtered reviews on here is a negative one about Kendra. Don’t waste your time with the living social deal. She is completely unprofessional. She was a no show at my first appt and cancelled my second appt 3 hours before. After I left her a voicemail saying this was unacceptable and I would like a refund of my living social deal she proceeded to send me nasty texts until I asked her to stop. Living social thankfully gave me a refund immediately after hearing the situation. Don’t waste your time. Go to a real salon, not some curtains hung up in some old basement.

Made a visit to Kendra at Rustic Pear to get a mani/pedi after purchasing a Living Social coupon. I’m not the kind of person that gets their nails done often(as in, maybe 4 times a year), but I had a great experience with Kendra. I’m not super familiar with that area so I passed the driveway once– and once I got in the parking lot they have is super tight– but that would be the only downside of my experience here. Kendra is located in the basement of the salon(an old home that has been converted into a salon). It’s not much to look at but she has done as much as she can to make it seem cozy. I got a gel manicure and a pedicure, and she did a fantastic job on both, and was great to chat with to boot. My manicure lasted for 3 – 4 weeks! As a tip, it’s easiest to schedule your appointment with her by text since she manages her own schedule.

Need your nails done? NEVER call The Rustic Pear on Marburg Ave. I purchased a Living Social deal from them in July and have attempted 6 times to make an appointment. I have NEVER received a return phone call/text. I’m only out $ 17 but they are out much more after I share my experiences on FB/, twitter, Unilocal, foursquare, yellowpages online, mapquest reviews, local amazon and more. Copy and paste this if you have ever been blown off by a business and are sick of it.

Since moving back to Cincinnati from Los Angeles I had been having a hard time finding just the right hair stylist that was great at cut AND color. Being a makeup artist, I have a lot of friends in the beauty industry, so I started asking around, and more than once I heard them say«Liz at Rustic Pear!». So I made an appointment, and I told her I wanted drama in my dark, monotone hair, and not to be afraid. She was awesome! She put some huge blocks of blonde in my hair exactly like the picture I showed her, and she wasn’t scared to do it, either! I told her I wanted it to look edgy and cool, and that’s what I got! The salon itself is super cute and cozy… very quiet, so I was almost asleep by the time she was blowing me out(which she also did very well on my curly hair). I don’t know how she got it so light without frying it, but my hair is still glossy and soft! She is also just a really sweet person, and left me feeling at ease in her hands. I also love that the salon features mostly Tigi and Bedhead products… they’re my favorite. Another little detail I noticed was a recent certificate from a Tony&Guy training, which means she’s continuing her education, and not stuck in some 90’s rut. I think that’s really important. We didn’t do a cut this time, because it’s still growing out and just now long enough to put in a little ponytail, but I will definitely be going back to her for that as well as keeping up my color.

I recently started going to Megan at Rustic Pear, and I couldn’t be more pleased! Megan is young, which makes her fun to talk to. Your hair always looks polished and trendy. She’s also surprisingly affordable! I paid $ 100 for a cut and color. She does great highlights. I vaguely described what I wanted and it turned out better than I had imagined. Plus, since the stylists here are independent contractors, you schedule directly with her. Much easier and more convenient. I’ll definitely keep going here for my haircuts!
