You’ll be better off hiring a photographer to come to your house. I know, you think they’re too expensive, but trust me, after you’ve been run through the Sears Portrait Studio, you’ll realize it is money well spent. We’ve used Sears for three different sittings on three different dates. Why did we keep coming back? The first sitting was amazing, and we kept trying to re-capture the magic. Alas, it seems to have been a fluke, because the following two sittings were both uniformly terrible. Sears Portrait Studio heavily advertises that they are for taking pictures of families and kids. Despite this fact, they seem to only hire photographers who are dreadful with children. Our photographers barely tried to interact with our kids to get them to smile, and they gave up quickly when it wasn’t working. At the end of the sitting we barely had enough good shots to order a package. The real kick in the teeth is the package pricing. Any«enhancements» are a huge additional cost, and«enhancements» are any changes made to the pictures; for example, cropping or rotating. «Big deal», you think, I can just do those edits myself with the files on the CD. Well, yes, except that you have to buy a large package to get the CD(~$ 170). We have finally given up on Sears, and are searching for a new photography solution.
